Shi Qiuyun saw that there were still washed clothes on the clothesline in the yard. Without caring whether they were completely dry, she quickly pulled them down and hugged them to her chest.
Without lingering, Shi Qiulin headed straight for the side room where they were staying.
A "piānxiā" is a simple little house built against the side wall of a building.
The father and daughter were ready to move and had packed most of their belongings, but there were still some toiletries and other items left outside that needed to be put away.
Following behind the busy Shi Xuelin, Wang Min tried her best to suppress her annoyance and asked inquisitively, "Dalinzi, where did this boss come from? What does he hire you for? Are you not going to sell wontons at the stall anymore?"
Faced with this series of questions, Shi Xuelin knew that some things, even if he didn't say them now, he would find out from others later, so he simply answered frankly, "The boss hired me to sell wontons for him."
Wang Min never dreamed that her carefully planned scheme, where she was just sitting at home collecting money, would suddenly turn into a disaster.
How could I possibly be content with that?
"You're from out of town, don't be fooled! Especially since you don't think about it, anyone can sell wontons, why did they specifically choose you!"
She deliberately whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "I'm just saying whatever comes to mind because we're relatives. Your Xiaoyun is a fourteen or fifteen-year-old girl now, and quite pretty. You didn't come here just for her, did you?"
Shi Xuelin paused in his tidying up, looked at his daughter who was stuffing clothes into her bag, and frowned.
Wang Min was secretly delighted, but put on a painstakingly earnest expression and tried to continue persuading him.
Shi Qiuyun didn't give her the chance, speaking up first: "Dad, why are you still chatting idly? Don't you know you need to hurry up? Brother Gu is waiting!"
"Coming soon."
Shi Xuelin also understood that there was no need to let other people's words disturb his mind.
Moreover, he has lived to this age, so he is not without any judgment.
With Gu Wei's looks, he could find any kind of partner.
Wang Min glared at Shi Qiuyun, annoyed, and decided not to hide it from others. "Dalinzi, it hasn't been easy for you to raise your daughter to this age. You have to be more careful in everything you do! Otherwise, if something happens, her life will be ruined, and you'll regret it!"
Shi Qiuyun loathed Wang Min and said bluntly, "You're just judging others by your own petty standards! Brother Gu isn't the kind of person you're making things up! Besides, once we move out, you won't be able to control us or squeeze money out of us anymore, so you're sparing no effort to smear and sow discord! Do you think everyone doesn't know that?!"
Wang Min's thoughts were indeed as described, and she felt a moment of guilt after it was revealed.
But she absolutely cannot admit it.
"You child, you're still too young and naive to know the wickedness of people. I'm doing this for your own good. After all, you're relatives, and you know your family better than outsiders!"
"Alright! Enough said! We'll judge for ourselves who's good and who's bad!"
Shi Xuelin picked up his bags and said this in a bad mood, then walked outside with Shi Qiuyun, who had raised her chin as if she were a victor.
Wang Min was panting heavily, her face dark, but she relentlessly followed behind.
Gu Wei got into the car and waited, expecting to have to endure the gossipy stares and pointing fingers from his neighbors for a while.
Upon seeing the father and daughter appear, he immediately got out of the car, walked around to the front of the vehicle, and opened the car door.
A female neighbor couldn't help but ask, "Teacher Shi, are you leaving already?"
Shi Xuelin smiled and said, "Okay, I'm leaving now. Thank you for your help before."
"Don't say that, I didn't take care of anything."
"Yes, we went to eat wontons, and they gave us a lot more than we should have."
"..."
In interpersonal relationships, it often comes down to mutual respect.
Unless they are people who love to take advantage of others and are insatiable, who don't know how to be grateful and only think about taking.
Wang Min didn't have time to pay attention to those annoying neighbors. She thought the car-owning boss was young and energetic, and wanted to go up and say something.
Gu Wei had a very bad impression of her and had no intention of paying any attention to her. He quickly drove away, leaving behind some exhaust fumes.
The neighbors watched the spectacle and were all somewhat reluctant to leave.
Aside from the jokes and schadenfreude about Wang Min's failed scheme, most of the discussion revolved around Gu Wei.
And it became a topic of conversation for people over the next few days.
After settling the father and daughter in, Gu Wei began to work on the opening of the business.
First, besides the simple painting and tidying of the shop, purchasing, and hiring, there is also the most crucial business license application, as well as many other things that need to be taken care of.
With just one phone call, Xu Kailin summoned him immediately.
He walked around the shop, inside and out, and was somewhat confused about the God of Wealth.
"Brother Wei, why did you suddenly decide to open a breakfast shop? If you're going to open one, open a bigger one! It's no problem to hang a few more signs than Lu Fu Lou. It's not like we don't have the resources."
Gu Wei had anticipated that others would think this way, and calmly smiled, "Too big a restaurant has too many people and too much trouble, I can't be bothered with it. Besides, you know what the current trend is, a small shop is better."

Xu Kailin instantly realized something and gave a thumbs up, "Brilliant! Brother Wei, you're truly brilliant!"
Gu Wei shamelessly accepted the compliment, continuing to maintain his persona of having unique insight and knowing how to keep a low profile.
He continued to use Gu Jianguo's identity to obtain a business license.
