Chen Wu and Cao Zhengqi also spoke up:
"Yes, even though we keep in touch often, it's not as enjoyable as chatting face-to-face like this."
"The day after tomorrow is the fourth brother's wedding day. Shouldn't we have a farewell bachelor party tonight?"
Gu Wei certainly wouldn't object, and Zhou Wenyi had already informed him that she was going to have a pajama party with a few close girlfriends.
"Sure, it'll make saying goodbye to single life a little more ceremonial. We can get our marriage certificate tomorrow."
Chen Wu exclaimed, "You guys got your marriage certificate pretty late! We thought you'd already done it."
Gu Wei smiled and said, "Isn't this so that our wedding anniversary will be easier to remember in the future? Otherwise, it's easy to forget."
"That's true, who could remember that clearly?"
"Who else should we invite? Won't it be too monotonous with just the four of us?"
"Actually, it doesn't matter whether you call it that or not."
While the three were discussing the matter enthusiastically, Song Daming did not participate.
Gu Wei looked at Song Daming.
I noticed he was covering his face with his hands.
"The Ming Dynasty..."
Song Daming sniffed, "If we hadn't broken up... I should be getting married by now!"
In this situation, Cao Zhengqi appeared somewhat dazed.
Gu Wei and Chen Wu looked at Song Daming with pity.
Chu Sitong is not a vain girl; she is willing to endure hardship and live frugally with Song Daming for the sake of love.
Unfortunately, the two families couldn't reach an agreement on the bride price and the house, and the two sides were deadlocked with neither willing to give in.
Later, Chu Sitong broke up with him.
No matter how hard Song Daming tried to salvage the situation, it was to no avail.
Song Daming sighed, "Dawei, I really envy you. Look how good your wife's family is. They just follow the norm when it comes to the bride price, and they also provide a house, a car, furniture, and appliances as part of the dowry. Why can't I have such good fortune?"
Chen Wu and Cao Zhengqi said in unison, "We didn't run into them either!"
Gu Wei didn't really care about the amount of betrothal gifts and dowry, and neither did the Zhou family.
That's why they didn't disagree on these matters.
"There's nothing I can do, I'm just lucky."
The three of them simultaneously made a vomiting gesture, and then said one after another:
"If you become rich and powerful, don't forget me. Are there any single friends of your wife's? Introduce them to us."
"Yes, anyone older than me is also acceptable."
"Alas, I was too young to appreciate my sister, and I mistook a young girl for a treasure."
"In my youth, I did not know the fragrance of my sister, and mistakenly planted rice seedlings backwards."
Gu Wei was overjoyed. "You guys are really something, you even have a whole set of strategies..."
After the meal, they went to a club.
They participated in a series of leisure and entertainment activities...
When Gu Wei returned home, Zhou Wenyi was already back and was doing a face mask on the newly bought gray fabric sofa.
Knowing that Gu Wei's college roommates were over, she asked with a smile, "How was your time? Did anyone get drunk?"
"We had a good time, except for me. The other three were a bit late, and Daming even slept in the hotel with us," Gu Wei said with a smile as he took off his coat. Then he asked, "How about you guys? Did you have fun?"
Zhou Wenyi paused in her face-slapping motion, and said with a hint of melancholy and disappointment, "We were having a lot of fun, but I don't know what Jiang Mei was thinking, she kept making sarcastic remarks about me, and then Xiao Ran gave me a piece of her mind, which made things end badly."
Gu Wei had a so-so impression of Jiang Mei. He still remembered that Zhou Wenyi got drunk on her birthday and he stopped her from filming it.
That's really disappointing.
Zhou Wenyi immediately replied as if she had found an ally, "Yes. I was a little angry at the time."
After saying that, she looked at Gu Wei with a smile and said, "Honey, Xiao Ran and I analyzed it later, and she might be angry because I didn't let her be a bridesmaid, or she might be envious and jealous of me. Who told me to find such a handsome, rich, and good man like you!"
"You're so good at praising me! Your words are as sweet as honey."
Gu Wei walked to Zhou Wenyi's side, looking down at his girlfriend who was wearing pajamas. He wanted to pat her head, but hesitated for a moment and went to the bathroom to wash his hands.
Zhou Wenyi knew some of Gu Wei's little habits, so she got up and followed him.
She quickly removed the face mask, washed her face with water, and then hugged Gu Wei's waist from behind.
"Honey, why is time moving so slowly?"
Gu Wei knew exactly what she was thinking.
After drying her hands, she continued what she had been doing, rubbing the fluffy little head and then cupping the little face, which looked as fresh as a lotus emerging from water, and asked, "Want to hurry up?"
Zhou Wenyi nodded, her eyes shining, "Yes!"
Gu Wei's eyes were deep and vast, appearing even more so under the bathroom light. "Okay, then listen to me. Go to the gym, work out until you're sweating it out, then fall asleep as soon as you wake up and it'll be dawn."
Zhou Wenyi always felt that her boyfriend's words, though seemingly normal, carried a hint of eroticism.
"Okay, I'll go now."
After the furniture and other items in the house were moved out, Zhou's father gave Zhou Wenyi a card so that she and Gu Wei could choose the soft furnishings they liked. The two of them transformed one of the rooms into a gym.
There isn't a lot of equipment inside, but it's more than enough for simple practice.
Gu Wei took a quick shower and then went to the gym.
Soon, some suggestive sounds came from the room.
The next day.
Despite experiencing back pain, leg cramps, and other discomfort from exercising, Zhou Wenyi resolutely got up early.
