Gu Jianguo was carrying dishes from the kitchen when he overheard some of the conversation.
After Gu Hongjie was sent to a nearby convenience store to buy something, he sat down next to Gu Wei, who was eating heartily, and whispered, "Li Bin has changed a lot lately. I don't know if he's just burning money or if he's been in that business a lot and been exposed to too many women, which has made him more restless. A few days ago, your Aunt Li came over and was telling us that the two of them have been arguing a lot lately, and Li Bin's wife suspects he's having an affair..."
Gu Wei looked surprised; this really caught him off guard.
"There's really someone here?"
"Probably, otherwise his wife wouldn't have made such a scene. She just hasn't caught him red-handed yet. He used to seem quite upright; people really can change in an instant." Gu Jianguo sighed softly. "His hotel has quite a few women from out of town; there are just too many temptations..."

Gu Wei found his grandfather and his family because of Li Bin, and he was very grateful to them for providing many conveniences.
Just then, Gu Hongjie returned from the convenience store.
He rushed into the house, handed the candles and matches he had bought to Gu Jianguo who was making lanterns, and then sidled up to Gu Wei, watching him eat with longing eyes.
Seeing that Gu Hongjie was clearly a grown man, yet looked like an adorable big dog, Gu Wei couldn't help but chuckle. "Why don't you eat some more? It's really uncomfortable to see you staring at me like that."
Gu Hongjie scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "I'm not hungry. It's just that we haven't seen each other for quite a while, and I wanted to take a good look at you. Can I ask you a question?"
"Ask away," Gu Wei said, feigning attentiveness.
Gu Hongjie touched the spot that was bothering him, "I want to shave, but my parents won't let me. They say the more you shave, the thicker and coarser your beard will become."
Gu Wei put down his bowl and said seriously, "Your parents are right. My advice is also not to shave yet, because you are in puberty and your beard is not that thick."
