Chapter 23 Granddaughter is a Little Charlatan

Her sweet, childlike voice melted the hearts of the three old men. They thought the little girl was just too adorable. How could there be such a cute little girl in the world?

Even among the younger generation in their family, there are little ones, but none of them can compare to even a tenth of Tang Bao's size.

The elderly man in the suit, Mr. Li, kept staring at Tang Bao and said curiously, "This child's face... looks familiar!"

"Hehe..." Old Master Chu laughed smugly, "Of course, Tang Bao is my eldest son's daughter!"

"What!"

The three old men all looked shocked and incredulous.

"You...didn't your eldest son and daughter-in-law both disappear?"

"Yes, they all disappeared four years ago, how come there's still a daughter?"

"Your eldest son and daughter-in-law are back?"

Grandpa Chu gently patted Tangbao's little head and said affectionately, "Tangbao found her way back herself! Otherwise, we really wouldn't have known that the couple had a daughter!"

Although he hadn't confirmed with Chu Yiting yet, Old Master Chu was already 99% certain that Tang Bao was his son and daughter-in-law's daughter.

"This child...you are truly blessed!"

"It's good that you're back, it's good that you're back!"

"Where are your son and daughter-in-law? Have they come back?"

Old Master Chu sighed, "They haven't returned, and there's been no news of them!"

Although he learned from Tang Bao that his son and daughter-in-law were dead, he preferred to still fantasize that they were living in a hidden place, unwilling to accept the fact that they were dead, since there was no sign of them alive or dead.

"All right!"

The three old men seemed to have noticed as well, but didn't say anything more.

Sitting by the chessboard, Grandpa Geng, wearing a brown overcoat, smiled and waved to Tang Bao, "Tang Bao, right? Come here to Grandpa!"

Tangbao excitedly ran up to the old man with her short legs, "Hello, Grandpa!"

"Hello, Tangbao! From now on, you can call me Grandpa Chen!" Grandpa Chen said to Tangbao with a smile.

"Hello, Grandpa Chen!" Tang Bao greeted him with a bright, innocent smile and a sweet, childlike voice.

Grandpa Chen was immediately melted by the soft, adorable voice. "So sweet!"

Tangbao tilted her round little head, blinked her big, grape-like eyes at Grandpa Chen's brows, raised her chubby little hand, and asked in a childish voice, "Grandpa Chen, have you been sleeping poorly lately? And you keep having nightmares at night?"

"Oh ho, Tang Bao, how did you know?" Old Master Chen's old face showed a hint of surprise upon hearing this.

Tangbao explained in her sweet, childlike voice, "Tangbao saw that Grandpa Chen's brows were filled with a murderous aura, and there was also black energy surrounding you. They will make Grandpa Chen have nightmares at night and not be able to sleep well!"

Grandpa Chen's face showed deep shock, and his weathered eyes were filled with disbelief. "You can see these things?"

"Tangbao, how do you know all this?"

Grandpa Chu, who was Tangbao's grandfather, suddenly couldn't sit still.

He's Tangbao's own grandfather, and he had no idea that his precious granddaughter was actually a little charlatan.

Moreover, judging from Tang Bao's mysterious and serious demeanor, it seems like she really knows what she's doing and is quite capable.

Although he was getting old and had gained a lot of experience, and had indeed met people with real skills, he never imagined that there would be such a person in his family, especially his adorable little granddaughter.

"It's all thanks to Master's teaching!" Tang Bao proudly raised her chin, her chubby little hands on her waist. "Tang Bao is amazing! Master says Tang Bao is the most talented!"

Who is your master?

Grandpa Chu and the other three grandpas were also full of curiosity. Which old immortal was it?

"Master is indeed Master!"

"No, do you know your master's name?"

Tangbao tilted her little head and scratched her forehead with her chubby little hands, "Master is Master, Tangbao doesn't know!"

The four old men all looked helpless, but seeing that Tangbao was still young, they didn't say much.

Grandpa Chen was even more concerned about her condition and quickly asked Tang Bao, "Do you know why this is happening?"

Tangbao bit her finger and frowned her cute little brows. "Tangbao can't be sure about this. I can't talk about things I can't be sure about. I have to go to Grandpa Chen's house to check!"

Although Tang Bao is very talented, she really has no way of knowing how she caused Grandpa Chen to end up like this.

Most importantly, Tangbao didn't bring any tools to calculate today, so she can't figure it out herself. She can only go to someone else's house to see for herself; seeing it in person will be more accurate.

Grandpa Chen slapped his thigh and made a decision, "Oh, okay, then let's go to Grandpa Chen's house!"

Although Tang Bao was still very young, he unconsciously believed what Tang Bao said.

After all, he had never told anyone about his recent nightmares, especially since Tang Bao had just come home, so she naturally believed him to be 80-90% true.

Even if it's fake, it's still nice to bring such a cute little dumpling home.

The other two old men also became curious and wanted to join in the fun. "Let's go take a look too!"

"Yes, let's go take a look!"

Playing chess or anything like that is less important than consulting fortune tellers or having your face read.

These old men have been in the business world for decades; what haven't they seen?

I have certainly met some truly skilled masters, but I have never met a little master like Tang Bao.

They just wanted to see if Tang Bao really had that ability.

If that's true, then Old Man Chu is truly blessed for eight lifetimes.

So, the four old men took Tangbao to Old Master Chen's house.

Grandpa Chen lives alone in a large villa. His younger relatives have all moved out and only visit him during holidays.

The entire villa is decorated in a modern style, with a black color scheme.

Tang Bao got out of the car and looked up at the entire villa with her cute little head. She saw wisps of black mist swirling above the villa, which proved that the thing that was giving Old Master Chen nightmares was inside this villa.

"Tangbao, come and see what the problem is?" Old Master Chen bent down and said to Tangbao with a smile.

Tang Bao nodded her little head, then took a few chubby little steps and circled around the lobby on the first floor before walking back to Grandpa Chen and shaking her head. "Grandpa Chen, I'm not on the first floor!"

"Then let's go to the second floor, come on, let's go to the second floor and take a look!" Grandpa Chen didn't delay and took Tang Bao up to the second floor together.
