Tangbao pouted, her round little face full of grievance, "Tangbao is telling the truth, Uncle Zhang's baby is really in danger!"
"How did you know?" Director Zhang looked at Tang Bao with a strange and complicated expression.
"Tangbao saw a faint, dim light emanating from the children's palace of Director Zhang!"
Brother Shao almost bit his tongue. What was going on? Why was Chu Yilin's sister doing this when she was only three and a half years old?
"The Palace of Children!" Why don't you become a charlatan?
Having already witnessed Tang Bao's abilities and even been told that his luck had been stolen, Chu Yilin reminded Director Zhang, "Director Zhang, why don't you ask him first? Better safe than sorry!"
Director Zhang took out his phone and said, "No need, I have security cameras at home, let me take a look first!"
Chu Yilin and Brother Shao watched as Director Zhang skillfully opened the monitoring software, performed a few operations, and then a screen appeared. After circling around a few times, his expression turned very ugly. "Where's the nanny?"
"What's wrong?" Brother Shao leaned over and asked Director Zhang, puzzled.
Then I saw in the mobile phone surveillance video that a two-year-old boy climbed out of the crib, sat on the floor and cried loudly. His crying was heartbreaking, and his voice was hoarse, which meant that he had been crying for a long time.
Director Zhang flipped through the surveillance footage to check the situation at home, but didn't see anyone else. "My wife is almost always at home, and we have a nanny, but I didn't see anyone there. My son is crying loudly in his crib!"
Finding no one but his son, Director Zhang panicked and immediately called his wife.
Suddenly, the staff around, who had previously thought Tang Bao was a bit unreliable and wondered how such a cute little dumpling could lie, were suddenly energized.
It seems, perhaps, that's not what they think!
The only person who peeked out was Brother Shao; everyone still doesn't know what happened.
But judging from Director Zhang's expression and actions, something might really have happened.
Brother Shao stared blankly at everything that had suddenly happened, somewhat bewildered, and for a moment felt like his brain wasn't working properly.
Chu Yilin was not surprised at all, because he had already been surprised. Now he felt more proud and pleased.
Look how amazing his sister is! This is practically equivalent to saving Director Zhang's youngest son!
As soon as the call connected, Director Zhang immediately called back to ask, "Wife, where are you?"
"What are you doing? Didn't I have an appointment to get my hair done today? I had a really hard time getting that appointment!"
"Get your hair done!" Director Zhang's voice rose instantly, suppressing his angry questioning. "Where's the nanny? Why isn't she home?"
"Not home? Oh, he's probably out buying groceries at this time!"
Director Zhang nearly fainted from anger at his wife's words; her nonchalant tone made him want to climb onto the other end of the phone and slap her hard.
When did getting your hair done become so important? Leaving your son home alone!
"You'd better hurry home, Xiao Bao's awake!"
"What? You're awake? Why are you awake so soon today?" Upon hearing this, Director Zhang's wife realized something was wrong and quickly said, "Wait a minute, I'm coming home right away!"
After he finished speaking, Director Zhang received a busy signal on the other end of the phone.
A staff member asked Director Zhang with concern, "Director Zhang, how are you?"
"No...it's nothing. My wife isn't home, and the nanny went out to buy groceries. Only my second son is home alone!" Director Zhang forced a smile to reassure everyone, and subconsciously glanced at Tang Bao in Chu Yilin's arms, his eyes filled with deep gratitude.
He couldn't guarantee that his son would be able to stay home alone until his wife and nanny returned, but at least he had been notified, so it should be relatively safe.
Then she looked down and opened the monitoring app on her phone to check on her son.
Having heard everything clearly, Brother Shao secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Although Tang Bao's words had offended some people, it seemed that she had actually saved Director Zhang's son, so Brother Shao felt a little relieved. "Don't worry, Director Zhang, your wife is back, everything will be alright!"
The staff around them gasped in shock and disbelief.
So, does this mean that Tangbao was right about something?
Even so, Zhang's second son should not be in any danger at home now, right?
However, their thoughts were premature. Director Zhang opened the surveillance camera and saw that his youngest son had brought a stool from somewhere, run to the window, climbed onto the laundry table, and tried to open the window with both hands.
Director Zhang gasped at the sight, his heart leaping into his throat, and he almost screamed uncontrollably, "Xiao Bao!"
Brother Shao and the staff around him were startled by the exclamation.
Didn't Director Zhang's wife already say she was going home? Why did she scare Director Zhang again?
Many people curiously craned their necks to see what was going on, and then they saw the footage from the surveillance camera: a two-year-old boy had opened the window and was sticking his head out.
At that moment, everyone who saw it couldn't help but gasp, their hearts skipping a beat.
He never expected that such a thing would happen, and most importantly, Tang Bao actually guessed it right.
If Director Zhang hadn't turned the surveillance camera back on, his second son would probably have climbed to the window and fallen off the building in a moment of carelessness.
Now, Director Zhang's home surveillance system can transmit audio; he can simply speak into his phone to make a sound through the system.
The little boy seemed to hear Director Zhang's voice, turned his head and looked around curiously, trying to find the source of the sound, but did not climb out of the window again.
"Xiao Bao, don't move! Mommy's coming home right away! Do you hear me? Xiao Bao, be good, come back here quickly..."
To prevent his son from leaning out the window again, Director Zhang tried to distract him by making him sit still, while silently praying that his wife would come home soon.
Everyone's attention was drawn to the surveillance video, and everyone's heart was in their throats, forgetting just how shocking Tang Bao's words had been.
"Oh my god, that's dangerous!"
"He was practically halfway up the window!"
"So close! I almost fell!"
"Judging from Director Zhang's house, it must be several stories high. If such a small child falls down, it's really..."
"Director Zhang, shout quickly! Don't stop! It's better to fall on the balcony floor than to let the child fall out of the window!"
"Yes, shout it out quickly to get the child's attention!"
