Chapter 147: Rebellion

On January 1, 197 of the Han calendar, Sun Hao, who had just celebrated the New Year's Eve, once again showed his good luck in signing out a full 300 million conversion points in his annual lottery.

During the battle with the Western Continent's Eastern Expedition Army and the process of annexing most of the Parthian Empire, Sun Hao only consumed about 70 million conversion points to make up for the losses of the various Han troops participating in the war, and also expanded ten military towns and equipped them with enough generals of 100 men.

The ten newly built military towns were all located in the western part of Xizhou, which was the territory of the former Parthian Empire in the Western Regions, as well as the territories of the former Yanzi, Anlu, Wuli, Xiuye, and Moshan Kingdoms.

Adding the newly signed 300 million conversion points, the conversion value reserved in the "Hero Converter" has reached 700 million points.

This made Sun Hao once again ready to personally take to the battlefield and lead his troops to recover the four southwestern states of the former Han Kingdom, namely Yizhou, Xingzhou, Mozhou and Yizhou.

Currently, these four states are occupied by the State of Teng, so regaining these four states means that the State of Han will declare war on the State of Teng.

In the imperial palace of Anyang City, Jia Xu, commander of the Seven Banner Guards, reported to Sun Hao: "Your Majesty, the current population of Teng State is approximately 450 million.

Among them, Yizhou, Xingzhou, Mozhou, and Yizhou have a population of about 130 million, and on the plateau, Teng State has a population of about 20 million."

This time, the Han State sent troops to attack the Teng State, not only to recover the four southwestern states of the former Han State, but Sun Hao also planned to recover a piece of land in the plateau area that the Teng State had seized from the former Songfan State.

If the war went well, Sun Hao was even prepared to take over the Chu State, which had been annexed by the Teng State.

After a pause, Jia Xu continued, "Once the Han Dynasty sends troops to attack Teng, Jin will likely send troops to aid Teng because they have formed an alliance."

Sun Hao said nonchalantly, "If Jin dares to make a move, then we will take care of Jin as well. This will be a good opportunity to take back Leizhou, Xinzhou, and Chizhou that Jin has occupied."

Jia Xu then said, "Your Majesty, if we want to go to war with the State of Jin, we must have a navy.

However, at present, the Han navy has less than a thousand warships, and most of them are small boats with a capacity of less than a thousand tons. However, the Jin navy has thousands of warships, including some giant ships with a capacity of more than five thousand tons.

The largest warship of our Han navy weighs only 4,500 tons.

The batch of 6,000-ton warships under construction will take another two to three months to be delivered to the navy."

Sun Hao nodded and said, "Leizhou, Xinzhou, and Chizhou are crisscrossed by waters. To recapture these three states, we really need a strong navy.

By the way, have you, the Seven Banner Guards, made any progress in inciting the Jin navy to revolt recently?"

"Your Majesty, I was just about to report to you.

We, the Seven Banner Guards, are currently working on Ji Peng, the former Grand Admiral of the Vientiane Navy. If we can persuade Ji Peng to rebel, the strength of our Han navy will instantly increase by more than tenfold."

The Kingdom of Vientiane, known as the Country of Ten Thousand Islands, once had a navy that almost dominated the ocean. Even the navy of the State of Jin could not compete with the Kingdom of Vientiane.

After the State of Jin and the State of Wanxiang began to compete for supremacy at sea, the navy of the State of Jin was actually at a disadvantage in the first few decades.

It was not until the State of Jin devised a strategy of sowing discord, forcing the State of Wanxiang to destroy its own Great Wall and forcing its naval commander Ji Peng to defect to the State of Jin, that the strength of the navies of the two countries was reversed.

This also enabled the Jin navy to defeat the remaining main forces of the Vientiane navy in the final decisive battle, thereby annexing many islands and hundreds of millions of people of the Vientiane Kingdom.

On Bibo Island, formerly part of the Wanxiang Kingdom and now home to the Sixth Naval Regiment of the Jin State, a burly naval commander gnashed his teeth and said to Ji Peng, the governor of the Sixth Naval Regiment of the Jin State, "Grand Governor, the people of Jin are simply going too far.

Those fifteen warships with a capacity of ten thousand tons can be said to be the fifteen mainstays of our Sixth Naval Regiment. If the fifteen warships with a capacity of ten thousand tons are transferred to the Fourth Naval Regiment, the strength of our Sixth Naval Regiment will be reduced by at least 10%.

The Jin people are clearly trying to get rid of us, and are hollowing out the warships under our Grand Commander's command bit by bit."

The navy of Jin State is currently divided into seven towns. The warships and soldiers of the sixth town all followed Ji Peng to join Jin State.

And so far, the Sixth Town is probably the strongest among the seven towns of the Jin State Navy.

This was even after part of the warships of the Sixth Town had been transferred to the other six towns of the Jin Navy.

Today, the Sixth Naval Battalion of the State of Jin has a total of 15 warships of 10,000 tons, 20 warships of 8,000 tons, 36 warships of 7,000 tons, and 120 warships of 5,000 tons.

There are more than 300 warships with a capacity between 3,000 and 5,000 tons, and more than 800 warships with a capacity below 3,000 tons.

The total number of officers and soldiers in the Jin navy was about one million, and Ji Peng's Sixth Town accounted for more than 300,000.

Ji Peng smiled bitterly and said to his confidant Huang Ning: "Last time, the Ministry of War transferred our twenty 8,000-ton warships, twenty-four 7,000-ton warships, and sixty 5,000-ton warships.

I knew they would eventually target our ten-thousand-ton warships, but I didn't expect them to be so greedy, actually wanting to transfer all fifteen of our Sixth Town's ten-thousand-ton warships to the Fourth Town."

Huang Ning was a commander of the Sixth Regiment of the Jin Navy, and he was in charge of fifteen warships with a capacity of ten thousand tons.

When Huang Ning learned that the Jin State Ministry of War was going to transfer fifteen warships of ten thousand tons each to the Fourth Town, he was furious and told his subordinates that unless he died, no one would be able to transfer the fifteen warships of ten thousand tons each from the Sixth Town.

"Grand Commander, the people of Jin are really too unkind. I think we should consider other ways out." Huang Ning suddenly lowered his voice and said to Ji Peng.
