Chapter 10: First Kiss to Ease This Dangerous Collapse
"Why are you crying?"
Holding that small face in his palm, it felt like a soft marshmallow. Qin Cangye simply moved his thumb and easily wiped away the tears from the corners of Su Yinuo's eyes. Looking at that well-behaved yet fragile face, he felt both fondness and heartache.
Su Yinuo lost herself in the large and warm palm. When the tall figure in front of her was about to block the light of the wall lamp, she came to her senses and quickly raised the rose in her hand to block Qin Cangye's hand and the body that was trying to approach her.
"I, I'm fine..." Su Yinuo's face turned red.
Qin Cangye looked at his empty palm with some disappointment, withdrew his hand, sat back in his seat, looked at Su Yinuo who was hanging her head, and asked with a faint smile: "Did you encounter any problems? You might as well tell me, I can help you with anything."
He stroked his fingers, savoring the soft touch he had just felt, and thought that even if the cute girl opposite asked for 100 million, he would agree immediately.
But what Su Yinuo was thinking about at this moment was: the scene of Qin Cangye, dressed in a suit and tie and elegant, accompanying her to the Urban Management Bureau to ask for a snack cart, and the scene of him wearing a famous watch and shiny black leather shoes and accompanying her to the messy snack cart market to bargain.
She shook her head and said, "It's totally inappropriate."
"What?" Qin Cangye frowned slightly in confusion and tilted his head.
"Ah, it's nothing," Su Yinuo waved her hands repeatedly, saying embarrassedly, "It's just a small matter, I can handle it myself. Just now... I was a little reminded of something."
"Is there really no place where I can be used?" Qin Cangye was a little depressed.
Su Yinuo raised her eyes and saw the corners of his eyes drooping. She felt that he looked a bit like a large dog that was ignored by its owner.
Ah! Don't think like that!
Su Yinuo put down the rose, covered her burning cheeks, raised her head, and said in a much more relaxed tone: "Mr. Qin brought me to such a beautiful place for dinner today. I am very happy. Thank you."
She touched the cactus paper bag beside the seat and was hesitating whether to give it away right away when a polite foreign waiter came over.
Su Yinuo quickly let go of the paper bag and looked curiously at the waiter who brought out two exquisite appetizers that were smaller than eggs.
The waiter mumbled in French, which Su Yinuo could not understand, while introducing the dishes. Su Yinuo was full of questions, and her eyes kept switching between the blond waiter's face and the two exquisite dishes.
Qin Cangye really didn't like Su Yinuo's eyes falling on other men, so he interrupted the waiter coldly in French: "No need for introductions, go down."
The waiter was slightly startled, then bowed politely to Qin Cangye with an apologetic look and walked away from the table.
"Hey, why don't you say anything?" Su Yinuo asked curiously.
"Miss Li, do you understand?" Qin Cangye raised his lips slightly, then said with an "oh", "I remember, Uncle Li told me that Miss Li studied abroad in Paris."
"Ah?" Su Yinuo uttered a low "ah" sound, then grabbed the fork beside her in embarrassment. After a long while, she could only utter one word: "Eat!"
Qin Cangye laughed out loud, very gracefully cut off a piece of food with a knife, picked it up with a fork, and handed it to Su Yinuo's mouth, saying: "This is foie gras caviar, come, eat it."
"I, I can do it myself," Su Yinuo said a little flustered.
Ever since she could remember, she had never been fed by anyone. She instinctively wanted to decline, but when she looked up, she met Qin Cangye's feigned serious expression.
"Can't you see how hard I'm trying to fork it? If I don't eat it now, the caviar will be scattered. Oh, and a little bit of it might cost hundreds of dollars."
Su Yinuo immediately opened her mouth and bit off the food on Qin Cangye's fork in one go, not even leaving a piece of caviar.
Qin Cangye smiled, and after watching Su Yinuo finish her meal, he introduced the second appetizer: "This is grilled tuna slices. Just hold it with your hands. It tastes even better with a little mousse."
"I can do this!" Su Yinuo reached out before Qin Cangye made a move, but she didn't expect that as soon as she picked up the thin tuna slice, she heard a crisp sound and saw the fish slice in her hand break into several pieces and fall on the dining table.
Su Yinuo pursed her lips slowly and blankly, looking pitiful as if she was about to cry.
"It's okay, it's not expensive," Qin Cangye quickly consoled him. "It's very fragile, so don't use too much force when handling it."
He picked up a piece, dipped it in light brown mousse, and passed it to Su Yinuo's lips, saying with a smile, "Come, eat."
Fearing it would break, Su Yinuo quickly opened her mouth and took another bite, but unexpectedly bit Qin Cangye's finger. She quickly stepped back, swallowed the melt-in-your-mouth fish fillet, and said with a blushing face, "Yes, I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Qin Cangye smiled lightly and withdrew his hand as if nothing had happened. He picked up a piece of fish fillet with the two fingers that had been bitten by Su Yinuo and accidentally touched the tip of her tongue and put it into his mouth.
Really... delicious...
In the dim backlight, a barely perceptible blush appeared on his cheeks.
"Mr. Qin, you don't have to feed me, just tell me how to eat," Su Yinuo said anxiously.
Qin Cangye raised the corner of his mouth slightly and nodded.
The following main courses were all slightly larger in size. The pan-fried lamb chops, lobster risotto, and crispy charcoal-grilled bread were all very delicious. The seafood tower with various sauces was also very fresh. The black truffle vegetable salad was not only beautifully presented like a painting, but also tasted particularly sweet and sour.
Su Yinuo feasted on the food. After she was half full, she saw the red wine that the waiter had brought her, which had been decanted for half an hour.
"Ah...this..." Su Yinuo was a little hesitant.
"Can't you drink?" Qin Cangye asked seriously.
"No..." Su Yinuo was about to say that she hadn't drunk it, but suddenly remembered her identity and changed her words: "No, it doesn't matter, you can drink it."
The waiter poured the red wine, and the fragrant fruity aroma wafted over. Su Yinuo imitated Qin Cangye's example, gracefully picking up the red wine glass, clinked it gently, and took a sip.
It was indeed mellow and smooth when she took a sip, with a hint of sourness that Su Yinuo had never tasted before. Although she was not used to the taste, she couldn't help but take another sip. At this time, there seemed to be some different levels of taste and lingering fragrance in her mouth, which made her squint her eyes.
"Is it delicious?"
Qin Cangye found every subtle expression on Su Yinuo's face very amusing. Thinking of teasing her, he said, "This is a 2005 Romanee-Conti. I remember the price was... 150,000."
Su Yinuo widened her eyes, swallowed the mouthful of red wine in her mouth, then put down the glass consciously, but held the handle of the glass tightly, for fear of spilling a drop.
"Don't waste it," Qin Cangye thought the person in front of him was so cute, and reached out to gently touch the wine glass she was holding tightly.
This isn't drinking, it's drinking money! Don't waste it, it's shameful!
Su Yinuo drank one sip after another. After a few glasses, she felt dizzy. Seeing the waiter coming over to pour more wine, she quickly stopped him and said, "No, you can't drink anymore. Pour it for Mr. Qin."
The slightly tipsy state emboldened her. She covered her burning face, supported her chin on the table, and unscrupulously admired the noble and calm handsome man drinking in front of her.
A melodious, low, gentle and sad cello sound rang in my ears, like a dragon locked in an ancient castle, affectionately expressing its impossible love to the princess who had disappeared for a thousand years.
Su Yinuo was infected by the music, as if she saw the giant dragon crawling out from the mountain of gold coins and jewels, opening its imposing and terrifying eyes, and then shaking its huge wings, and in a burst of brilliant golden light, it turned into the noble and indifferent Qin Cangye.
It's so fitting...
Su Yinuo tilted her head, the plot in her mind continued.
Qin Cangye came to the human world, wandering through the magnificent and extravagant places, holding a red wine glass and asking strangers: "Excuse me, have you seen my princess?"
And she was one of those passers-by who strayed into his world. She might be just a servant, or a flower girl selling flowers outside a wealthy place. But when she looked up accidentally, she saw his eyes that were as clear and affectionate as gems.
Wow......
While Su Yinuo was immersed in her own fantasy, she heard Qin Cangye's low, teasing voice: "Have you seen enough?"
"Haha, I haven't seen enough..." Su Yinuo smiled very foolishly, his eyes still on Qin Cangye.
Qin Cangye pursed his lips and smiled, then asked, "Does it look good?"
"Simply...so handsome..." Su Yinuo blurted out the praise.
Qin Cangye placed the wine glass heavily on the table, almost unable to resist the urge to pounce and kiss Su Yinuo. He gripped the handle of the glass tightly, staring at Su Yinuo, as if his soul had left his body. He grasped Su Yinuo's small chin and kissed her intoxicating lips stained with red wine.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Su Yinuo apologized again in a daze, picked up a piece of dessert with a little drunkenness, ate some dessert and drank some sweet soup, and then sobered up a little.
"I haven't given you the gift yet, Mr. Qin," Su Yinuo said with a flushed face. She took out a brown paper bag and handed it to Qin Cangye shyly, saying, "This is the first tree branch I came across when I went out today. I hope you don't mind it, but if you do, you can throw it away."
"I won't mind it. I've never received such a gift before," Qin Cangye said sincerely. He took the brown paper bag and reached in without thinking.
When Su Yinuo tried to stop him, it was too late. Qin Cangye pulled his hand back as if he had been electrocuted, frowned and hissed.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Qin, I'm sorry..." Su Yinuo panicked and quickly stood up and walked to Qin Cangye, holding his hand that was pierced by several thorns. "Ah, how come it's so deep? I'm sorry, Mr. Qin, I didn't expect you to go and get it directly."
Qin Cangye didn't say a word. Out of selfishness, he wanted to look more at Su Yinuo's face, which showed her worry for him, and wanted to touch her small hand more.
After Su Yinuo removed a few obvious thorns for Qin Cangye, she said, "It's too dim here. Let's go to the bathroom to see if there are any more thorns and wash our hands."
She grabbed Qin Cangye's strong wrist and pulled him to the bright bathroom. The waiter saw her and thoughtfully handed her a pack of medical disinfectant wipes.
Qin Cangye's injured hand was held in Su Yinuo's palm. After carefully pulling out all the thorns, she washed it under the faucet several times and then wiped it repeatedly with disinfectant wipes.
Qin Cangye was very tall. When the two of them stood together, Su Yinuo, who was lowering her head to wipe his palm, was not even as tall as his shoulder.
Qin Cangye lowered his head, looking at the petite body in front of him, feeling the smooth friction between his fingers and hers. The defenses in his heart, the stubborn restraint and persistence in his heart, were slowly disintegrating.
"How could it be a cactus?" He laughed, trying to divert his attention to ease the dangerous collapse, but he didn't expect that the person in front of him actually raised his head and turned his face up, showing a red, cute and attractive smile in front of the dangerous him.
"It got caught on my trousers, and I thought, a cactus is a branch, too..."
With a bang, all the defenses in Qin Cangye's mind collapsed in an instant. He seemed to be deaf to everything, staring at Su Yinuo infatuatedly. He held her face with the hand that was pierced by the cactus and kissed her lips.
