Chapter Thirty
Liang Yuheng handed Shi Qing his phone and car keys, saying, "Sit down here for a while."
"Okay." Since they both agreed to fight, Shi Qing naturally had no objections, but she still felt that something was not right.
She didn't know Liang Yuheng's skill level, nor whether he could beat Zheng Junzhe.
Cheng Jun and another friend also came over, ready to watch the two compete.
"Hello, sister-in-law. My name is Cheng Jun, and this is Wei Wen. We are both Yuheng's brothers." Cheng Jun, who has a cheerful personality, took the initiative to sit down in the chair next to Shi Qing.
Shi Qing greeted them with a smile: "Was the bar you owned the one Zhou Han and I went to last time?"
"Oh, right, right. Sister-in-law, you have such a good memory!"
"No, your store is unique, I really like it there."
Cheng Jun was overjoyed when he heard this: "Sister-in-law, next time you come, I'll give you a free meal."
Shi Qing: "Okay, I'll go when I have time. By the way, did Aheng used to play badminton often?"
Cheng Jun slapped his thigh: "Yes, he was a champion in college. I'm a little worried about your friend."
"What a coincidence, he's also on the school team." Shi Qing pointed at Zheng Junzhe.
Cheng Jun and Wei Wen exchanged a glance and laughed, "Then we're in for a good show today."
Shi Qing had seen Zheng Junzhe fight many times, but this was the first time she had seen Liang Yuheng fight.
He gently tapped the shuttlecock on the ground with his racket, and the white shuttlecock bounced onto the racket by itself, without him having to bend down to pick it up.
Seeing his practiced movements, Shi Qing knew he was sure he could hit someone.
He tossed the ball gently, swung his arm forcefully, and the ball was hit hard.
Zheng Junzhe launched a steady counterattack, his strength equally impressive.
Liang Yuheng quickly took a few steps back, jumped up, and smashed a high clear.
When he waved, his shirt was pulled up under his chin, revealing smooth muscle lines.
The white shuttlecock darted back and forth in the air at an astonishing speed.
Shi Qing can see now that the way Zheng Junzhe fought with her was completely different from how he is now.
The two of them weren't playing ball; they were fighting.
The "bang bang bang" of the ball hitting the court sounded particularly loud in the empty court, even louder than firecrackers.
Just then, Zhou Han made a video call.
"Hey Qingbao, what are you doing?" Zhou Han looked like she had just woken up and was still snuggled in the blankets.
Shi Qing turned the camera around: "Watch them play ball."
Zhou Han's eyes lit up: "What's going on! Why is Zheng Junzhe playing basketball with my cousin?"
Shi Qing: "Yes, we ran into each other at the gym just now, and they played together."
"Tell Zheng Junzhe to be careful, my cousin is very powerful." Zhou Han turned over.
Shi Qing: "Don't worry, they're both pretty capable."
"That's good." Zhou Han saw Zheng Junzhe's figure, and her heart suddenly started racing. She sat up abruptly in bed. "Qingqing, point the camera at Zheng Junzhe! Yes, yes, he's so handsome! Qingqing, can you help me record a video of him playing basketball?"
Seeing that she was in the mood to swoon, Shi Qing felt relieved and said, "Sure, I'll record it for you after I hang up."
Zhou Han nodded and smiled, "That's great! I didn't expect him to like badminton too. I can ask him to play with me in the future."
"OK."
After hanging up with Zhou Han, Shi Qing turned on the video recording function and started filming the two of them.
Because it was recorded for Zhou Han, she focused most of the camera shots on Zheng Junzhe.
Later, I don't know when, the art style started to change, from the brutal beatings to close combat with nets attached.
Liang Yuheng first pretended to serve a long ball, but in the blink of an eye, he gently pushed the ball with his backhand.
Zheng Junzhe's expression changed. The ball had just crossed the net, and no matter how fast he was, he couldn't catch it.
Cheng Jun and his friends exchanged smiles and couldn't help but applaud. This was the real Liang Yuheng; playing ball with him was all about strategy.
Liang Yuheng curled the corners of his lips slightly.
Zheng Junzhe wasn't angry at being tricked; he just shrugged.
He then changed his playing style, first going back and forth with Liang Yuheng at the net, and then suddenly flicking the ball hard.
Liang Yuheng quickly retreated and jumped up, barely managing to catch the ball thanks to his height advantage.
Later on, the two players completely abandoned any strategy and only wanted to embarrass each other by preventing the other from receiving the ball.
Cheng Jun and Wei Wen got tired of watching, so they went to play in the nearby area.
The two played for nearly an hour, until a shuttlecock was poked into Zheng Junzhe's racket, and there was still no winner.
Shi Qing had to admire their stamina; they had been fighting for so long and none of them showed any sign of stopping.
She yawned at the end and started scrolling through her phone out of boredom.
Just then, Zheng Junzhe's family called, and Shi Qing ran over to give him the phone.
Liang Yuheng stopped playing, finished the remaining half bottle of water Shi Qing had left in one gulp, and then, seeing Shi Qing talking to Zheng Junzhe, he squeezed the bottle flat.
"Jun Zhe, what's wrong?" Shi Qing asked, noticing Zheng Jun Zhe's tense expression.
Zheng Junzhe wiped the sweat from his face, his expression grave: "My grandfather suddenly had a heart attack, and my dad is calling me back."
Shi Qing also became worried: "Then you should go quickly."
Zheng Junzhe: "Well, why don't you come with me? I'm worried about you being with him."
Shi Qing: "It's okay, I'll just say hello to him and then go home. You go ahead, don't delay Grandpa's medical appointment."
Zheng Junzhe: "Okay then, be careful. Call me if anything happens."
"I know."
Zheng Junzhe grabbed the things and hurriedly ran out.
Shi Qing returned to her original spot and handed the phone and car keys back to Liang Yuheng: "Here's your phone."
When Liang Yuheng raised his hand, his brow furrowed, and he hissed softly as his keys and phone fell to the ground.
"What's wrong?" Shi Qing quickly picked it up, asking worriedly.
Liang Yuheng rubbed his right arm with his left hand: "It's nothing, I probably just strained it accidentally."
Shi Qing immediately realized that Liang Yuheng had been busy with work lately and hadn't warmed up properly, so this could have happened after the sudden strenuous exercise.
Shi Qing wasn't sure how serious his condition was: "Why don't you go to the hospital for a checkup?"
"No need, I just need a rest." Liang Yuheng smiled at her.
He had just finished playing ball, and his clothes were soaked through, clinging tightly to his body, revealing glimpses of his chest muscles and exuding an aura of masculinity.
"Did you drive here yourself?" Shi Qing felt a chill run down her spine when she saw him smile, and quickly looked away.
Liang Yuheng: "Yeah, it's fine, it won't affect driving."
Shi Qing was worried that his hand was inconvenient and something might happen, so she said, "How about I take you home?"
"Okay." Liang Yuheng looked down at her, smiling gently.
"I'm going to return the racket. Wait for me a moment."
"I'll go with you."
After returning the equipment, Liang Yuheng said goodbye to Cheng Jun and the others, and then went to the parking lot with Shi Qing.
After getting into the car, Liang Yuheng explained to Shi Qing how to operate the car.
Shi Qing hadn't driven much since getting her driver's license, and given how expensive the car was, she drove very carefully the whole way, paying close attention to the road conditions almost the entire time.
When she looked in the rearview mirror again, she found that Liang Yuheng had been staring at her.
At first she didn't notice, but later she realized that the gaze was so strong that it made her face feel hot.
While waiting at a traffic light, Shi Qing couldn't help but turn around and meet his gaze: "Can you please stop looking at me like that?"
"Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Liang Yuheng turned his face and looked straight ahead.
He leaned back lazily in his chair, his long legs slightly bent, seemingly enjoying his current state.
Shi Qing: "..."
This person is getting more and more blunt in their speech.
Liang Yuheng then asked, "Don't you need to explain this to me?"
"Explain what?" Shi Qing looked at him blankly.
Liang Yuheng also looked at her: "You don't want to contact me, but you're out there flirting with other people."
"No way! Junzhe was just worried about my hand, and I pulled it back quickly," Shi Qing immediately retorted.
Liang Yuheng scoffed, "Jun Zhe-ge? You're calling me that so affectionately. I've never heard you call me that before."
Shi Qing said helplessly, "I've called him that since I was little."
“Yes, childhood sweethearts.” Liang Yuheng emphasized the last four words.
Shi Qing sensed his sarcastic tone and wasn't sure if he was jealous: "It's not what you think."
Liang Yuheng: "We are now husband and wife, so it's necessary to consider each other's image."
Shi Qing: "I know, we haven't seen each other for a long time. We had agreed to get together, and it was just a meeting between friends."
"I don't think he treats you like an ordinary friend," Liang Yuheng said coldly.
The light turned green, and hearing horns urging her from behind, Shi Qing stepped on the gas and drove forward.
Liang Yuheng's tone sounded like he was complaining, and Shi Qing suddenly found it a little funny.
"Don't be angry. I promise that I will not have any romantic relationship with any other person during the marriage."
"Then you should contact him less in the future."
Shi Qing: "..."
These two are so childish.
-
After dropping Liang Yuheng off at his apartment complex, Shi Qing went home with him to pick up some of her own clothes.
When she finished packing her things and came out of the bedroom, she saw Liang Yuheng sitting on the sofa after taking a shower, preparing to apply medicine.
He was wearing a thin black bathrobe, his black hair was messy and not yet dried, and a drop of water slid down his chest muscles and into the front of his robe.
Seeing that he simply sprayed the medicine twice and then stopped, Shi Qing felt that his arm would only hurt more and more tomorrow.
"Would you like me to massage it for you?" Shi Qing stepped forward and stopped beside him.
"Okay." Liang Yuheng paused slightly, then raised the corners of his mouth.
Shi Qing placed the bag of clothes on the other side of the sofa and sat down next to him.
Afraid of getting his clothes dirty, Shi Qing pushed his sleeves up to his shoulders. Then she poured some safflower oil into her hands, warmed it in her palms, and applied it to his upper arm, massaging it with increasing pressure.
Shi Qing was afraid that she would press too hard and hurt the person, so she was very focused when she massaged them.
Liang Yuheng watched her quietly the whole time.
The person in front of me has long, curved eyelashes, beautiful features, and skin that is as smooth and lustrous as jade under the light.
Finally, his gaze fell on her rosy lips. It had been a long time since he had kissed her, and Liang Yuheng felt a tickle in his heart.
Shi Qing has strong hands because she exercises regularly, but her palms are very soft.
A few minutes later, clear red marks began to appear on Liang Yuheng's fair skin.
"Does it hurt?" Shi Qing asked, looking up when she saw that he hadn't spoken.
Liang Yuheng: "It doesn't hurt, it feels very comfortable."
Shi Qing: "Then should I use a little more force?"
"..."
Shi Qing noticed that Liang Yuheng was suppressing a laugh, and only then did she belatedly realize that her words were a bit strange.
Her earlobes and neck turned bright red, and out of embarrassment, she unconsciously tightened her grip, causing Liang Yuheng to cry out in pain.
Shi Qing was startled and dared not move: "Then be gentler?"
Liang Yuheng laughed even harder at this point, his chest heaving.
Shi Qing was a little angry and bit her lip: "Don't laugh, I won't give you a massage."
After a few seconds, Liang Yuheng took a deep breath and coughed lightly: "Sorry, it wasn't intentional."
"You're clearly doing this on purpose."
Liang Yuheng smiled at her and said, "Yes, I was wrong."
Shi Qing ignored him and started massaging his forearm.
"Shi Qing".
"What's wrong?" Shi Qing used her thumb to push upwards along the muscle.
Liang Yuheng's eyes darkened slightly, and his Adam's apple bobbed.
I don't want you to leave today.
