Hearing Yin'er's voice, Jiang Ranli breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that at least he didn't misunderstand anything. He smiled with relief and said, "Well, I think it looks good too."
"Of course she has to look good. Our Li'er is good-looking and looks good in anything she wears," the Tenth Prince interjected from the side. He looked so proud that if you didn't know, you would think Jiang Ranli was someone he related to. Otherwise, why did he look so proud?
The Tenth Prince's interruption livened up the atmosphere, and everyone except Yinzhen laughed out loud.
"Fourth brother, look at how anxious Li'er is to explain, it's really..."
The Thirteenth Prince came close to Yinzhen and wanted to say something, but when he saw his gloomy eyes, he quickly realized what was happening and stopped talking.
"Fourth brother, Li'er is now the maidservant beside Ninth brother. She has to be with him every day, so she is in a hurry to explain. Otherwise, if Ninth brother misunderstands her, he will definitely embarrass her. So don't think too much about it. She is in a hurry to explain and she has no other intentions."
The Thirteenth Prince spoke again, hoping that his words would make his Fourth Brother feel more comfortable.
"You are wrong, she likes Lao Jiu."
Taking his gaze away from Jiang Ranli, Yinzhen lowered his eyes to stare at the grilled fish in his hand. His voice was as flat and indifferent as ever, making it impossible to see through or hear his emotions at the moment.
The Thirteenth Prince sighed upon hearing this. He looked at Jiang Ranli, who was standing with his Ninth Brother, with countless questions in his eyes.
Yinzhen put down the box in his hand and sat down on the ground with Jiang Ranli, Yinzhen, Tenth, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth and Sixteenth. The brothers talked from time to time and the atmosphere was quite harmonious.
Their conversation was revolving around court affairs. Jiang Ranli was not interested in those things, so he simply threw himself into the grilled fish. It was not until he heard the Fourteenth Prince's call that he came back to his senses and looked at them.
What happened just now? Why are they all looking at me now?
The scene Jiang Ranli saw when she looked up made her a little dizzy. She didn't understand what had just happened and why they were all looking at her.
"What's wrong?", asked carefully.
The Fourteenth Prince rolled his eyes helplessly and said, "We are discussing our respective dreams. We have unanimously decided to start with you."
dream?
Hearing those two words, Jiang Ranli became even more confused.
Weren't they discussing court affairs? When did they switch topics to discussing dreams? And if they were discussing dreams, why did they start with themselves?
"Li'er, please tell me quickly. I'm waiting to hear what Brother Ten's dream is."
The Fifteenth Prince followed his brothers in calling Jiang Ranli "Li'er". Jiang Ranli felt helpless and conflicted when hearing this. It felt really weird to be called that by a ten-year-old child.
"Hurry up and tell me, I'm also waiting to hear your tenth brother's dream," the sixteenth prince urged anxiously.
Looking at the two of them, Jiang Ranli thought of their previous conversation with Yinzhen, and immediately remembered that Yinzhen and the Thirteenth Prince had pestered him for playing cards, and even more remembered that he had been punished by the Eldest Prince because of them.
Thinking of this, Jiang Ranli raised his eyes and glared at the Thirteenth Prince unhappily, leaving the latter completely confused.
"I didn't say a word just now, why are you glaring at me?" The Thirteenth Prince felt like he was shot even when he was lying down, because he clearly didn't do anything just now.
Jiang Ranli did not answer his doubts, but retracted her gaze to look at the Tenth Prince. Although she was a little angry, she also knew what had happened and there was no point in getting angry now. What's more, she didn't suffer any major losses, so she was not so petty and cared about it.
