Chapter 622: Scheming

Yinzhen was originally anxious to leave the palace to find the Eighth Prince, but when he thought of Concubine Yi's many misunderstandings about Jiang Ranli, he nodded and agreed to let the eunuch go to Yikun Palace.

"Greetings to mother."

Looking at Concubine Yi who was resting with her eyes closed on the beauty couch, Yinzhen greeted her.

When Concubine Yi opened her eyes and saw Yinzhen, a smile immediately appeared on her beautiful face, "You're here, please sit down."

"Mother, what is the matter that you called me here?" Yinzhen asked.

Concubine Yi did not answer immediately, but asked someone to pour tea and bring snacks to Yin'er. After a long time, she said, "Yin'er, have you put Dong E under house arrest?"

Yinzhen was not surprised that Concubine Yi knew what was going on in his mansion, and nodded in response.

"Dong E has a kind character. Don't let some people with ulterior motives misunderstand her. After returning home, lift her house arrest as soon as possible. Mother hasn't seen her for a long time," said Concubine Yi.

Listening to Concubine Yi's words, Yin'er sneered in his heart. His sneer was not directed at Concubine Yi. Concubine Yi was his biological mother and he respected her very much. He was laughing at Dong E, who was such a cruel and ruthless person, but pretended to be gentle and virtuous on the outside.

"Who is the scheming person in my heart?" Yinzhen looked at Concubine Yi and asked.

Concubine Yi was startled by Yin'er's bright eyes. Her son had always had a bad reputation, and she had never seen him so attentive to a woman. Now he had even confined his wife to his house for that woman.

"In my opinion, that Anjia is really a very troublesome person. Your marriage with her was granted by His Majesty, yet she even dared to pretend to be fat and ugly to marry into your house. She also often sneaked out to get involved with the Fourth Prince, the Thirteenth Prince and the others, and later she ran away to Shandong. Yinzhen, my mother is worried about you." Concubine Yi felt a headache when she thought of what Dong E had said to her. She was really worried that her son was being deceived.

Yinzhen lowered his eyes and looked at the tea leaves curling in the cup, and said, "She is fine, mother, don't listen to the slander."

Seeing Yin'er's determined expression, Concubine Yi couldn't help but feel anxious, "Mother, why can't you see what's good about her? How can she compare to Dong E?"

"I still have to go out of the palace to look for the mynah bird, mother, please take a rest."

Yinzhen stood up and walked out.

Concubine Yi looked at his leaving back and couldn't help but sigh angrily, "Mother told you not to get too close to the Eighth Prince. Now everyone is avoiding him, but you still go for him."

Yinzhen turned a deaf ear to her words, walked quickly, and left Yiku Palace in the blink of an eye.

"Your Majesty, don't worry. Master Jiu has always been smart and knows when to act," the maid beside Concubine Yi stepped forward to comfort her.

Concubine Yi frowned and looked in the direction where Yinzhen left with her eyes moving.

The Ninth Prince’s Mansion.

Jiang Ranli and his entourage couldn't think of where to start for the Empress Dowager's birthday, so they put down paper and pen and took Hongzheng and Minyan to tell a story.

"Snow White was taken out of the palace and killed by the Evil Queen. The guard felt sorry for Snow White and let her go quietly..."

"Li'er, what are you talking about here? Why are both of them crying?" The Tenth Prince suddenly appeared out of nowhere and interrupted Jiang Ranli's story.

"Tenth brother, you scared Li'er," Fourteenth Prince walked out from behind Tenth Prince.

Seeing them, Hongzheng and Minyan bowed and greeted them, and then were taken away by their respective nannies.

"Why are you here?" Jiang Ranli looked at them suspiciously, wondering if they were fine all day long?
