Old Li turned his head and met a pair of large, dark, grape-like eyes.
The little girl looked at him earnestly and said in a childish voice, "Grandpa Li, you can't save him."
From the moment this man entered, Qiqi realized that Old Li's minor misfortune was actually related to him.
Old Li smiled kindly and reached out to pull Qiqi's hand away: "Little girl, I am a doctor, and doctors cannot choose their patients!"
Dr. Li has been practicing medicine for decades, and he can be considered a benchmark in the industry in terms of both medical skills and ethics.
No matter how filthy the patient's appearance was, he never treated them with any strange looks.
He even saved many patients that other doctors were unwilling to treat; he was a truly great person.
"Wow, Grandpa Li, what you said is exactly the same as what my master said!" No wonder I felt a sense of familiarity as soon as I saw him.
Qiqi smiled even more sweetly, "But Grandpa Li, you really can't save him. If you save him, you'll get sick too!"
"Even if he really has an infectious disease, I will still save him. It is my duty as a doctor." As he spoke, Old Li firmly pushed Qiqi away and stepped forward.
But a small hand grabbed his rough, calloused hand, and the tiny figure ran to the man faster than him: "Grandpa Li, I said you can't save him, but I can!"
"Qi Bao, no!"
"Qiqi, come back!"
Ji Chengfeng and Huo Yusen spoke at the same time, their voices filled with anxiety.
That man's condition doesn't look good. What if it's an infectious disease and he infects Qiqi?!
“Little girl, you…”
Old Li was stunned for a moment, then quickly went over to try to stop him.
After taking only two steps, Qiqi grabbed the man's hand and began to take his pulse, looking quite professional.
Then they examined him again.
When Qiqi did these things, her little face was very serious and earnest, giving off a sense of trust that made people forget her age.
Old Li's steps inexplicably stopped, and he stood still watching Qiqi busy herself.
"Grandpa Li, do you have any silver needles?" Qiqi asked after examining the man.
"Yes." Old Li called to the staff member beside him, "Bring me a set of silver needles, quickly."
"yes."
The staff immediately brought over silver needles, which Old Li handed to Qiqi. He then stepped forward and squatted down beside her with great interest.
"You also know acupuncture?"
Qi Qi nodded. The silver needles in the Chinese medicine shop were all sterilized and could be used directly. She opened the lid of the silver needle box, picked up a needle, lifted the man's clothes, and quickly inserted the needle into an acupoint on the man's abdomen.
Qiqi lifted his clothes, and Old Li discovered that the man's entire body was covered in festering sores and swelling, with some areas already festering. The deterioration of his skin tissue was far more severe than the exposed skin.
Even under these circumstances, Qiqi was able to insert the needles quickly, and the acupoints and force of each needle were very accurate.
Old Li was so shocked that his eyes almost popped out of their sockets; it was simply breathtaking.
Before they knew it, the passersby who were initially afraid of the man's condition couldn't help but come forward to watch Qiqi save him.
Huo Yusen also turned his wheelchair forward and stopped next to Old Li, watching Qiqi's hands move so fast they left afterimages.
"Grandpa Li, Qiqi's medical skills..."
He didn't say anything, but Old Li understood.
She turned her head and smiled at him, then reached out and patted his head: "Kid, your grandma made the right decision to send you to Jiangcheng!"
Upon hearing his words, Huo Yusen was taken aback at first, then realized what he meant and looked at Qiqi with shock in his eyes.
So, can Qiqi really cure his leg?
Qiqi inserted twenty-four needles in a row before stopping. Her fair face was covered in sweat, and her breathing was rapid.
"Grandpa Li, now we can have someone carry him into the treatment room to disinfect the ulcers on his body."
"Alright, little girl, go and rest for a bit. Leave the rest to me."
Acupuncture is an extremely mentally taxing process, especially for someone like Qiqi who can insert twenty-four needles in a row at a very fast pace.
She's only three and a half years old; this is far too much for her.
You can tell by looking at the once vibrant and energetic little girl, now she's all wilted and looks like a dehydrated cabbage.
Qiqi nodded and stood up to move aside.
As soon as he stood up, everything went black, and he fell to the ground.
"Qi Bao!"
"Qiqi!"
Ji Chengfeng and Madam Ji were a bit far apart, but fortunately Huo Yusen was right next to Old Li. He immediately wheeled his wheelchair forward and caught the little girl as she fell.
"Qiqi, Qiqi, are you alright?" The five-year-old boy asked with a worried expression, his eyes reddening with anxiety. "Grandpa Li, what happened to Qiqi?"
Old Li was engrossed in studying the acupuncture points Qiqi had inserted, recalling the order in which she had inserted the needles. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't hear his voice at all.
Huo Yusen reached out and tugged at him before he realized what was happening. He turned around and saw that Huo Yusen and the Ji family were all very anxious, so he waved his hand with amusement.
"Don't worry, the little girl is fine, she's just too tired. Carry her to bed and let her rest for a while, she'll be fine."
After thinking for a moment, Old Li added, "If you're still worried, give her some IV fluids."
Ji Chengfeng quickly carried Qiqi to an empty hospital bed and carefully placed her on it.
Just as I turned around to call the staff to give Qiqi an IV drip, I saw the staff pushing in a medical cart, followed by Huo Yusen in a wheelchair.
It was clearly arranged by Huo Yusen.
"Thank you, Xiao Jiu." Madam Ji sat on the chair by the hospital bed, holding Qi Qi's hand, and smiled gratefully at Huo Yusen.
"You're welcome, Auntie. It's what I should do."
Qiqi slept for more than three hours before waking up. When she opened her eyes, she was still a little confused.
She raised her hand to rub her eyes, but as soon as she moved, her hand was pressed down.
"Qibao, don't move. There's a needle in the back of your hand." Madam Ji's gentle voice rang out from the side.
The next second, Ji Chengfeng's head appeared directly above Qi Qi: "Qi Bao, how are you feeling? Is anything bothering you?"
"Daddy, I'm fine." Qiqi tried to sit up, and Mrs. Ji quickly reached out and helped her sit up. "How is that sick uncle?"
“He’s awake. Grandpa Li and the others treated all his wounds and let him stay here for observation for a few days. Don’t worry.” Huo Yusen wheeled over and gave her a brief explanation.
Qiqi nodded and added, "By the way, Little Nine Brother, please have Grandpa Li and all the doctors who cleaned that uncle's wounds come over. That uncle's illness is not simple; it's a ghost sore. They've been in contact with it and will also be infected by its yin energy. If it's not treated in time, it will have an impact."
