Jiang Xunzhi's car was a black Maserati, which looked pretty good.
Through the car window, he called out with a smile, "Big sister, get in the car!"
Shi Xing opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat. "Let's go."
Jiang Xunzhi turned on the music, and the latest popular music filled the quiet car.
"Can I see your playlist?" Shi Xing asked him.
"Of course you can, sister, go ahead and see."
Shi Xing glanced through them and found that their playlists overlapped quite a bit, with many of them being her favorites.
"I didn't expect that we both like the same things."
"Well, I have great taste!"
Shi Xing tilted her head, raised her eyebrows, and smiled at him.
She's quite good at responding.
"You're from Shanghai University, what year are you in?" Shi Xing asked, trying to start a conversation.
Jiang Xunzhi felt embarrassed and hesitated for a long time before finally saying, "I'm a freshman this year."
He is already 21 years old, but he is only a freshman in college, which makes him a little embarrassed to say it out loud.
Shi Xing nodded, not surprised, after all, she was twenty years old and only a freshman in college.
Moreover, she had checked and found that Jiang Xunzhi became a professional e-sports player after graduating from high school and played in competitions for two years.
"I'm a freshman too, what a coincidence."
Jiang Xunzhi was relieved to see that she had no other expression on her face. When she talked about why she was a freshman in college, her tone was full of pride.
“I used to be an e-sports player, but I didn’t go to university because of training and competitions. This year I retired and took the exams again, and that’s how I started my freshman year.”
He felt that even if he played video games, he should improve his education, because what if his future girlfriend looked down on his high school diploma?
So he went back to studying academic subjects and stopped competing; instead, he became a game streamer.
"You've experienced quite a lot of exciting things in life at such a young age."
Shi Xing genuinely thought he was amazing, and then praised him, "And you're currently in school, yet you're also a game streamer with so many fans. That's really impressive."
Jiang Xun smiled shyly, her beautiful peach blossom eyes narrowing.
Half an hour later they arrived at the food street.
However, the weather was gloomy, and it looked like it was about to rain.
Jiang Xunzhi looked at the sky with worry: "Is it going to rain?"
Please, please don't let it rain! He still wants to stroll through the food street with his sugar daddy!
However, things didn't go as planned; without thunder, large raindrops fell without warning.
Raindrops pattered against the windshield, splashing into tiny water droplets.
Jiang Xunzhi: ...
Sometimes I feel really helpless.
He looked at Shi Xing with a tearful expression and said, "Looks like we can't go shopping. It's all my fault. I should have checked the weather forecast before making plans with my sister."
Shi Xing couldn't bear to see his pitiful expression, so she raised her hand and patted his head.
"It's not your fault. Is there an umbrella in the car? Let's get off and buy a cup of milk tea."
Jiang Xunzhi's eyes lit up, and he pulled out a black umbrella: "There's an umbrella!"
"Then why don't you come over here and pick me up?"
There was only one umbrella, so two people had to share it. Jiang Xunzhi held the umbrella and went around to the passenger side to open the door.
He tilted the umbrella towards Shi Xing, trying his best to keep her from getting wet in the rain.
Shi Xing got off the train and stood next to him: "Let's go."
Jiang Xunzhi suppressed his joy and led her to the nearest milk tea shop.
People on the street were holding umbrellas or quickly taking shelter under the eaves. Jiang Xunzhi was worried that she would get wet in the rain, so he kept moving the umbrella towards her.
Shi Xing noticed that he moved much closer to him: "You don't need to move the umbrella over, just move a little closer."
"Oh~" Jiang Xunzhi grinned and snuggled up to her.
But the next second, he couldn't laugh anymore.
Shi Xing: "Let's go buy another umbrella."
His smile vanished instantly: "Wouldn't it be better if we shared an umbrella?"
Shi Xing didn't speak, but turned her head to look at him with a half-smile.
He looked away and down at his shoes.
The topic of buying an umbrella was not mentioned again, and raindrops dripped onto the umbrella surface, forming streams that flowed down.
Suddenly, a kitten's meow came from the bushes at my feet.
Jiang Xunzhi and she stopped at the same time.
"Sister, did you hear a cat meowing?"
“Right next to us,” Shi Xing said, already looking around.
Just then, a wet calico cat emerged from the bushes, carrying a kitten in its mouth.
“Here,” Shi Xing pulled him along behind the calico cat, “it looks like they’re carrying kittens.”
Because of the rain, there weren't many people around, and the few pedestrians who did pass by didn't notice the disheveled little cat.
They followed the cat to a corner where it could shelter them from the rain, where there was a wet cardboard box.
Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that there were five kittens of different colors inside, and the calico cat was lying there grooming them.
But because they had been rained on, all the kittens were soaking wet, and none of them had opened their eyes yet; they could only open their mouths and meow.
Seeing such a group of kittens, Jiang Xun's heart melted into a puddle of water.
"Should we help them? They look so pitiful."
Fortunately, he turned out to be quite kind-hearted.
It's already November, and soon the weather will turn cold, so these kittens might not survive the winter.
Without much thought, she immediately made a decision: "I'll take them all home and raise them."
She has always loved small animals, but never had the chance to keep them before. Now that she has the opportunity, bringing them home is not just a casual remark.
As she approached the six cats in the cardboard box, calico simply tilted her head and looked at them with curiosity in her round eyes.
Shi Xing squatted down and tentatively reached out to touch it. It showed no intention of attacking and just looked at her.
