Victim identity

Victim identity

Ye Wanqing crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Xiao Heng, I'm warning you, don't you dare do anything reckless."

"Didn't you say you didn't understand? Now you do?"

Seeing her shy expression, Xiao Heng decided to stop teasing her.

"Understand what? I don't care to understand."

Ye Wanqing also sat up and straightened her clothes.

Xiao Heng narrowed his dark eyes slightly, his face very close to hers: "I like you, Ye Wanqing. Can't you tell? Are you really stupid or just pretending?"

Ye Wanqing pouted, "I really am stupid."

There are plenty of people who like me, of course I can tell. I think he's the fool who didn't realize I'm after his money.

Xiao Heng immediately clenched his fists.

It was all for his money? Doesn't she like him?

Ye Wanqing got up, straightened her clothes, and prepared to leave.

But after only a few steps, Xiao Heng pulled him back and made him sit on his lap.

"I have plenty of money. I love how silly you are, what should I do?"

Xiao Heng turned her head around and lowered his head to kiss her.

Ye Wanqing immediately felt a surge of electricity coursing through her body.

She knew that if she continued like this, Xiao Heng would definitely take advantage of her.

She bit Xiao Heng's lip, and then ran away as soon as he wasn't looking.

Xiao Heng reached up and touched his lips; they were already bleeding.

"Is this woman a dog? But what if I like her even more?"

He curled his lips into a wicked smile.

...

As soon as Ye Wanqing arrived at the door of her dormitory, she saw a missing person notice posted on the door.

I heard a few girls chattering away, discussing something.

"Have you heard? Xia Qing, a sophomore majoring in literature, hasn't been back to her dorm for several days."

Where did she go?

"I heard she went back to her hometown, but the school can't contact her at all. She must be missing."

She didn't think much of it when she heard this.

As she entered the dormitory, she saw Chi Li staring at her menacingly.

Chi Li stepped forward and warned Ye Wanqing, "I heard you're Xue Mubai's girlfriend?"

"What's it to you?"

"I've taken a liking to him. You break up with him, or you'll regret it." Chi Li said with a look of disdain.

"Hehe. Chi Li, why don't you look in the mirror? You have such a big face."

Ye Wanqing ignored her.

Chi Li retorted angrily, "Ye Wanqing, didn't you hear me talking to you?"

Ye Wanqing ignored her.

Chi Li was furious, but she didn't say anything.

At night, when all was quiet, Ye Wanqing went to her space and developed the photos taken that day using the miniature paper camera.

The photo is very clear, but it looks somewhat familiar.

She suddenly remembered that it was the photo of Xia Qing in the missing person notice posted at the dormitory entrance.

Could it be that the person who had an affair with Chi Li's father in the office that day was Xia Qing?

And Xia Qing has recently disappeared?

Ye Wanqing suddenly had a premonition that Xia Qing's disappearance might be related to Chi Li's father.

Thinking of this, Ye Wanqing carefully examined Xia Qing's features in the photo again.

It was later discovered that Xia Qing had a black mole on her index finger when she was hugging Chi Li's father.

The fingers she saw in the garbage heap outside the hotel that day seemed to have a black mole on them.

Could it be?

Was the victim actually Xia Qing?

Thinking of this, Ye Wanqing decided to go to the police station early the next morning to tell Gu Mohan about this important discovery.

...

The next morning.

After washing up, Ye Wanqing took the photos and prepared to go to the police station.

However, it was discovered that today's Peking University school newspaper had already been posted on various bulletin boards.

She went up to look and found that in the school newspaper on the bulletin board, in the section on campus life gossip, there was a photo of her getting into a luxury car. Although she covered her face with her hand, people who knew her could still tell it was her from her clothes, expression, hair and height.

"What I feared most has come to pass."

Ye Wanqing thought to herself, "What if my classmates recognize me? Wouldn't I be incredibly embarrassed?"

That Xiao Heng is really something, deliberately coming to the school gate to pick her up, what is he up to?

Looking down at my clothes again, oh my god, it was still the same clothes I wore that day.

This is really ugly.

Thinking of this, she quickly walked away.

Not far from her dormitory, as she passed the cafeteria, she accidentally bumped into a tall boy wearing glasses.

Her schoolbag suddenly fell to the ground.

"Excuse me, let me pick it up for you."

The boy quickly picked it up.

"Thank you."

Ye Wanqing then looked up and realized that the boy in front of her was very handsome.

"Excuse me, what's your name?"

"My name is Kim Min-jun. I am the president of the Tide Literature Club."

"My name is Ye Wanqing."

The boy looked her up and down, then glanced at the school newspaper in his hand, and pushed up his glasses. "Excuse me, are you the girl in the school newspaper?"

"No, you've mistaken me for someone else. I have something to do, so I'll have to go now."

Ye Wanqing quickly grabbed her schoolbag and hurriedly left.

Kim Min-joon watched her retreating figure with a somewhat ambiguous expression. He glanced at the school newspaper again and chuckled.

...

Ye Wanqing arrived at the police station and found Gu Mohan. "Officer Gu, I have something to tell you."

"Can't you see I'm busy?" Gu Mohan didn't even look up, flipping through the files.

"It's about the victim's identity. If you don't have time to listen, then forget it."

Ye Wanqing originally wanted to say something, but seeing his indifferent attitude, she suddenly didn't want to say anything anymore.

Gu Mohan became interested and said, "Really? Sit down and tell me."

He immediately grabbed a stool and gestured for her to sit down.

Gu Mohan had been so busy with this dismemberment case these past few days that he was completely overwhelmed.

Because I had absolutely no clue what to do, I was under a lot of pressure.

He was surprised to hear that Ye Wanqing had good news.

Ye Wanqing looked at him and immediately felt contempt for him.

As expected, Gu Mohan is only enthusiastic towards her when it comes to work.

Gu Mohan frowned. Was this woman so concerned about his attitude towards her? Could it be that she actually liked him?

His tone softened slightly. "What are you trying to say?"

"Officer Gu, I've discovered that the victim is very likely Xia Qing, the college student who went missing from our school."

"Why?"

"This is a photo of Xia Qing. She has a black mole on her hand, just like the fingers of a corpse. And as far as I know, Xia Qing has been missing for half a month, and even her family can't contact her."

After she finished speaking, she handed him Xia Qing's photo.

Gu Mohan took the photo and compared it carefully. Sure enough, there was a mole in the same spot on his finger.

He immediately notified the household registration department to "contact Xia Qing's family members immediately to come and identify the body."

Are there any other useful clues?

Ye Wanqing then handed him the photos she had secretly taken of Xia Qing and Chi Qiang.

"Xia Qing has had sexual relations and exchanged favors with the college's secretary. I suggest you thoroughly investigate Chi Qiang."

Gu Mohan took the photo and saw that a girl was sitting on an old man's lap, undressing. He was speechless and immediately flipped the photo over.

"Okay, I understand. Thank you. You can go now."

Ye Wanqing turned to leave, but just as she reached the door, she heard Gu Mohan call out from behind, "Be careful lately."

Upon hearing this, Ye Wanqing pursed her lips.

This was the first time she'd heard Gu Mohan say anything expressing concern for her. Looks like this guy can actually speak like a human being after all.

Gu Mohan behind him was speechless. What was wrong? Was he not speaking human language before?
