"How did you manage to create all these things?" He Xi rested her index finger on her fair chin, raised an eyebrow at Wang Ji, and asked, "What kind of cheat is this?"
“It wasn’t a cheat, it wasn’t stolen or robbed…” Wang Ji said calmly, “I bought it.”
"Bought it?" He Xi immediately ignored the previous words and retorted, "You're penniless, what did you have to buy it with..."
As she spoke, she looked around at the facilities, stopping and starting as she went, able to understand them without needing to examine them closely.
There aren't many people in the base; they're quite sparse.
Angel Yan also looked around curiously, and the more she looked, the more surprised she became.
"That's none of your business. It's enough that you got to see it." Wang Ji looked at them with his arms crossed, not intending to explain in detail.
If it weren't for the fact that Jupiter couldn't hide from the other party's eyes, he wouldn't have allowed his power to be exposed so openly.
“Three flagships, ten battleships, and a whole bunch of other aircraft… what did you trade for them?” He Xi strolled along, listing them off as if they were his own treasures: “The most crucial thing is the genetic engineering facilities here, the dark matter computer… where in the known universe can you buy these things?”
"Is it any of your business?" Wang Ji leaned lazily against the wall: "I sculpted it from stone, dreamed about it, and made it into a mud ball."
“Heh…” He Xi let out a completely emotionless chuckle.
When he's being perfunctory, he shows absolutely no sincerity.
"You're gathering strength here?" Suddenly, Angel Yan looked at Wang Ji and said, "For what? You... you know about the Taotie Legion?"
"I'm planning to leave myself a way out," Wang Ji winked at her and said, "If we really can't win, I'll just take my wife and girlfriend and run away..."
"You're really precise, aren't you? A wife is a wife, and a girlfriend is a girlfriend..." He Xi complained softly, then looked at him: "Now I think I understand half of why you always have the ability to create little monsters."
She knocked on a transparent window, inside which were containers that looked like medicine.
As she looked around, at everything here, her mind was suddenly filled with memories.
She remembered... every time she called him at night, unless he was sharpening his sword, he would always respond immediately.
She recalled that quiet figure leaning against the window in the dead of night; he was so quiet then, unlike now, when he would casually provoke people.
She suddenly had a feeling... No matter how mysteriously he accomplished all this, she knew that these things could not have come out of thin air. She couldn't understand it, but she felt it very clearly.
"What you said almost choked me to death," Wang Ji retorted, commenting on He Xi's previous statement.
"Hehe..." He Xi chuckled softly, "Anyway, even if you don't want to tell me about these facilities, there's one thing I still want to ask you. I know this might be a bit presumptuous, but could you tell me..."
Wang Ji shook his head: "No."
He Xi wasn't angry. She smiled helplessly and continued, "Can you tell me about those super soldiers outside, the ones without super genes? I want to talk to you about them."
"No." He shook his head.
