Those who understand the times are heroes; those who refuse to eat become ghost heroes.
Having been dragged here and subjected to a great deal of highly classified information, Wang Ji knew he had been forcibly pulled onto the war machine, even though he was confident he could break free and live a carefree life.
But there's no need. Since these aliens seem trustworthy, he doesn't necessarily need to find a place to become his local tyrant.
In short, his horizons broadened, and his goals changed.
He still has the awareness to fight for his country and resist alien invasion.
Personally speaking, it's impossible for him to remain untainted.
For the public good, every citizen has a responsibility for the rise and fall of the nation.
As for other things, I feel that the Super God Academy would be a good place for him, but I don't know much about it and am not very clear about it.
...
"I thought you'd need to discuss the price and terms first..."
Inside an elevator, Du Qiangwei looked at the handsome young man who had changed into a stylish traditional Chinese outfit with a half-smile, and couldn't help but tease him.
The meeting had ended. Chief Huang Ze left first, and Reina of the Sunshine also had to leave first. They were all going to another place.
Wang Ji, having nothing to do, was not asked to leave by anyone.
To some extent, they hoped he would be exposed to more things and let go of the guard he had been holding onto.
"Prejudice in people's hearts is a mountain..."
Wang Ji, hands in his pockets, said casually, "I gave up my dream of becoming emperor, not to earn a pittance. I may be a little poor, but if I want to, I'm not short of money."
He looked at Du Qiangwei with a half-smile and raised an eyebrow: "You found out that my income is more than 10,000 yuan. I can only say that it is legal... Of course, I did not do anything illegal."
However, he was referring to his life as an ordinary person, not now.
Now he can do more.
With superpowers, what's money?
"You're so arrogant... And little thing, you're so rude, who are you trying to be the older brother to?"
Du Qiangwei's beautiful face was full of amusement; this guy really is fickle.
When he's timid, he honestly plays the fool; when he talks about his ambitions, he has a hint of domineering air. Now that he's relaxed and carefree, he's reverted to the arrogance and swagger of youth.
“Okay, from now on you’ll be my older sister, and I’ll consider myself your younger brother.” Wang Ji patted her forehead in greeting and raised an eyebrow.
Du Qiangwei couldn't help but smile, glancing at him sideways with her beautiful eyes, and said, "Tch, I'm only twenty years old, who am I calling 'older sister'? But you..."
"Let's go, everyone, we've arrived."
As the two were chatting and laughing, Dukao, who was standing in front, suddenly spoke in a dignified and steady voice.
The elevator doors opened, and Dukao took the lead, stepping off the elevator, followed closely by the major general and Lianfeng, and then Jess.
Du Qiangwei also stepped forward, while Wang Ji was the last to get off the elevator, his eyes flickering as if he were deep in thought.
He smiled inwardly, put his arms around his shoulders, got off the elevator, and followed everyone else to some place he didn't know.
"How about I take you to visit the Super God Academy this afternoon? You don't seem to have anything to do anyway, so you can see the environment of your new school in advance."
Du Qiangwei waited for him a step behind, and the two walked side by side.
She wore a fitted dark green military jacket, her red hair flowing, and turned to look at Wang Ji with a smile, saying, "Or you can grab a dormitory room you like first."
"No need." Wang Ji followed leisurely, his white dragon-themed Chinese-style outfit elegant and flowing, the silver chain on his chest adding to his dashing appearance.
She looks cool, even cooler than Du Qiangwei.
"Give me the time and address, and I'll go myself." He didn't even look at the person when he spoke.
But in Du Qiangwei's eyes, it was nothing special. Handsome men and beautiful women probably all have this kind of style. She usually has this style too, so it's normal.
Simply put, it's the result of being praised and spoiled by everyone from childhood to adulthood; that's what gives you that kind of charisma.
So Du Qiangwei just smiled to herself at Wang Ji's nonchalant attitude, thinking, "This little brother is really cool," and that was it.
She continued smiling as she looked at him, "How about we find a shooting range and try out some real guns? They have all kinds of guns, you should be able to play around with them."
Don't you like battle royale games? Don't you like guns?
"And tanks, airplanes... how about I take you for a ride in a fighter jet?"
Her voice was cheerful, making Jess, who was walking ahead, turn around and glance at her twice...
I was taken aback. Was this a rose?
Upon hearing this, Wang Ji's eyes showed a hint of interest, but after thinking for a moment, he shook his head slightly: "Thanks, but I still have a lot of things to finish up. Maybe another time."
"Tch, you arrogant brat, how can you be so busy? You're so immature." Du Qiangwei snorted, looking somewhat displeased.
With his arms crossed, Wang Ji followed Dukao and Lianfeng into a large hall, ending with Wang Ji.
The lobby was dimly lit and filled with computer screens and staff at work. The group gathered around a desk, where Lianfeng sat down and opened some videos.
When Wang Ji saw the videos that appeared to be surveillance footage, his eyes flickered slightly, and he seemed to realize something.
"Look, sir, Xiao Lun is still drinking beer and bragging. Liu Chuang is still in the detention center for the time being."
Jess, dressed in a black suit, was explaining something to Dukao, and Wang Ji listened quietly, roughly understanding what they were talking about.
The screen displayed a series of separate images, showing surveillance footage of several young men and women, including Ge Xiaolun and Liu Chuang, whom he had seen before.
“And that Zhao Xin… that kid is no ordinary person.” There was a hint of amusement in Jayce’s voice: “He likes to fight people, and… generally speaking, he’s also supposed to protect the weak, a chivalrous spirit.”
