The stone was bald and stayed on the mountainside, ready to break through to the plains at any time.
After receiving the order, he led his men to investigate the situation on the flat ground, but when they were halfway there, a mercenary behind them suddenly screamed.
Their team consisted of fifteen people, and each of them was wearing night vision goggles.
With so many people and heavy firepower, this group is certainly not a small mercenary group. Each member has experienced more than ten battles.
But each of them discovered how the mercenary had disappeared.
A scream was heard, and then the person disappeared.
"Boss, what's going on?" a mercenary asked Stone tremblingly.
"Could it be someone from flat ground? But after those two grenades, even a god wouldn't have survived. It shouldn't be like that." Stone rubbed his bald head, somewhat puzzled.
Suddenly, he remembered what his boss had said earlier.
"Could it be that grandmaster?" Stone muttered to himself, but something felt off.
Even grandmasters aren't that powerful. There were fifteen of them. The other side couldn't have killed so easily without making a sound.
"Ah, boss, help..."
Suddenly, the last mercenary spoke up, but then his voice stopped abruptly.
Everyone looked back, but found no trace.
Suddenly, more than a dozen people looked at each other, as if a ghost was killing people.
"Could it really be a ghost?"
"Could it be a ghost?"
Fear instantly spread through everyone, leaving them no choice but to think the worst.
These people have experienced at least a dozen missions, but none of them have ever been as strange as today's.
"Shut up, all of you. Don't talk nonsense. How could there be ghosts?" Upon hearing this, Stone knew that these were words that could undermine morale. How could they be swayed by such words while on a mission?
"ah!"
Another sound, and another mercenary disappeared.
There was not a trace, as if the person did not exist.
"Boss, what do we do now?" the mercenary near the rock asked, swallowing hard.
"What are you afraid of, damn it? We have guns, why would we be afraid of these things?" As soon as he said it, Stone regretted it. Didn't his words imply that something bad was indeed there?
"Damn it, it's all your fault." Stone instantly flew into a rage and kicked the mercenary who had just spoken.
He then turned to the crowd and shouted, "Get your act together! We have guns, so who cares what kind of crap this is?"
After he finished speaking, he looked at everyone, but no one said a word; they all stared blankly at him.
"What's wrong? Speak up, are you mute?" Stone frowned. These guys need extra training when they get back; they won't listen unless they learn a lesson.
"Boss... Boss, behind you... behind you..." The mercenary who had fallen earlier pointed a trembling finger at the stone, his voice filled with extreme fear.
"What rubbish!" Stone cursed, then turned around, and with a thud, the gun in his hand fell to the ground.
A dark figure held a gun to his forehead.
"You..." Stone was just about to speak.
With a bang, a bullet pierced his forehead.
"Gentlemen, I'd like to borrow something from you!"
Luo Chen's deathly cold voice echoed on the mountainside.
This group of mercenaries had long lost the will to fight against Luo Chen.
"You, what do you want to borrow?"
A mercenary, suppressing his fear, asked Luo Chen.
A gentle breeze blew by, and the figure in the darkness spoke slowly.
"I want to borrow your lives!"
The voice was like the coldest ice, sending a chill down everyone's spine.
Before anyone could react, the words had barely left their mouths.
The figure in the darkness had already moved.
Its form was like a ghost, elusive and unpredictable.
Its speed is comparable to that of a bullet.
One cut!
Another stab!
There was no chance to resist, and no courage to pick up a gun.
Everyone seemed to be bound by him.
In less than half a minute, drops of blood began to slowly drip from the tip of Luo Chen's sharp blade.
"Stone, what happened?"
"Answer me! Answer me!"
After killing the man, Luo Chen was about to continue up the mountain when he heard a voice coming from the earpiece of the man he had shot earlier.
He then walked over, picked up the headset, and listened to the sounds inside.
Luo Chen said calmly, "He's dead."
"Dead? Shi..." The voice suddenly stopped, and about twenty seconds later, it rang out again: "Who are you?"
"You don't need to know who I am. You just need to know one thing: are you ready?"
On the mountain, the thin man listened to the indifferent voice in his earpiece and glanced at the people around him.
Instead of answering directly, he asked, "Which grandmaster are you?"
"no?"
"No?" The thin man looked around in confusion. It seemed that Stone and the others had all been killed.
Thinking about this, the thin man couldn't help but shudder.
Fifteen people died in just a few minutes.
Just how powerful is this?
Is this even human?
"I don't care who you are, but you will pay the price for killing members of our Viper Mercenary Group." The skinny man's veins bulged as he vented his anger into the headset.
Seeing no response through the earpiece, the thin man continued angrily, "The captain is here. You're going to die. So what if you're a grandmaster?"
"But can you, a grandmaster, defeat two of them? You will pay the price, you will pay the price."
Luo Chen listened to the angry voice in his earpiece and sneered inwardly. He never thought that someone would threaten him like this.
If he really stops playing villains, then people can shit and piss on his head.
"You haven't answered my question yet."
"What's the problem?" The thin man frowned, puzzled as he listened to the cold voice.
Beside him, the sniper who had spoken earlier said, "Boss, the regimental commander and the others are almost here, in five minutes."
Upon hearing this, the skinny man could no longer hold back his laughter. "Weren't you so arrogant?"
Aren't you very arrogant?
It's almost over, it's almost over. You're just waiting to die. So what if you're a grandmaster?
He picked up the headset and sneered, "No matter who you are, you're going to die. But I can give you a chance. If you kneel down and beg me, I can guarantee your life."
"Yeah?"
"Of course, I can let bygones be bygones," the thin man quickly said, thinking the other party was scared. If he could subdue such a person, what would it matter if he lost a dozen lives?
"What is your mission?"
The earpiece rang again, and the thin man had already guessed that the other party meant he was scared. He sneered, "Scared? Of course, it's the person you're protecting. As long as we catch Mu Shanhai, I can live the life of a superior man."
"I heard there's a young woman inside, tsk tsk tsk, I really want to try her out!"
a long time.
There was no sound coming from the headset. The skinny man revealed a smug smile. So what if he was just a grandmaster?
Suddenly, he felt an unusual chill.
A voice rang in his ear.
My question is, are you prepared to die?
