The shorter men relayed each other instantly, stomping down on Luo Chen.
Luo Chen cursed inwardly, then twisted his body to dodge the attack.
"You missed a step?" The short man's expression changed. He hadn't expected Luo Chen to react so quickly and actually dodge the kick.
Luo Chen let out a cold laugh. Is this all the strength you've got?
The tall man didn't stop at all. The moment the short man missed his step, he roared at Luo Chen.
With its feet firmly planted, it charged towards Luo Chen with all its might, like a powerful bull charging forward.
"Damn it!" Luo Chen cursed under his breath and retreated, having no other option in this narrow space.
With no more room for Luo Chen to maneuver, he could only retreat, in case he was bumped by the tall guy.
My whole body will probably fall apart.
Luo Chen glanced at the rock wall and smiled.
The knife in his right hand scraped against the rock wall, and with the cushioning effect, Luo Chen landed his entire right foot on it.
Then, with a burst of strength, the body naturally leaps into the air.
He pulled his feet back and brushed against the tall man's back as he came up behind him.
Luo Chen landed and gave a mocking smile to the tall man behind him.
He raised his right foot and kicked the tall guy hard in the butt.
"A simple-minded guy who only knows brute force. You call yourself a grandmaster?"
The tall man crashed into the rock wall with a thud, and a scream echoed across the mountainside.
"You too." Luo Chen didn't have a moment to spare, turning to look at the short man, his knife flashing rapidly.
The short man's expression turned cold, and he stepped aside without hesitation.
In that instant, Luo Chen swiftly withdrew his sword.
They ran away.
Yes, he just brushed past the short guy and ran off.
Without the slightest hesitation.
"Damn it!" The short man cursed angrily as he watched Luo Chen's retreating figure, then turned to the tall man and shouted, "How about that?"
"It's alright, hurry and chase after them." The tall man scratched his head, grinned, and shouted angrily.
The short man grunted in agreement and chased after Luo Chen.
"You two are really persistent. If I wasn't in a hurry to get back to find someone, you two good-for-nothings would have been a sitting duck." Luo Chen looked at the two behind him and mocked them.
He then pulled a grenade from his waist, tore it open, and turned to stop.
"Hmm?" The short man frowned when he saw Luo Chen stop, and he also stopped.
"Holy shit!" Suddenly, the short man stumbled forward from the impact and blurted out.
"I used too much force, are you alright?" The tall man waved his hand, looking embarrassed.
"Kid, what do you want? If we don't kill you today, how will our Viper Mercenary Group have any face in the future?" The short man said fiercely, his eyes dark as he stared at Luo Chen.
"I've figured it out," Luo Chen suddenly said.
"What do you mean, 'figure it out'?" the short man asked, puzzled.
A smile appeared on Luo Chen's face, as if he hadn't done anything before. He looked at the two of them and said calmly, "I don't want to run anymore. This is getting boring."
The tall man frowned, scratched his head, and didn't understand what Luo Chen was talking about for a moment.
"It's good that you've figured things out, but you've killed so many of us, you'll have to pay a price." The short man looked at Luo Chen thoughtfully and said slowly.
"What price? But I need to ask you a few questions first," Luo Chen said, his hands behind his back.
"Kill him." The tall man scratched his head and shouted at the short man, "No need to waste words with him, just kill him."
"Shut up, you idiot." The shorter man glanced disdainfully at the taller man, then looked at Luo Chen with a slight smile: "Let's exchange!"
"Okay!" Luo Chen nodded readily, then asked, "Who gave you this task?"
The short man sneered: "Do you think we'd talk about mercenary rules?"
"Damn it, what kind of bullshit rules are these?" Luo Chen cursed inwardly, but his words remained calm: "So you want to capture Mu Shanhai?"
Ask around indirectly to see if there are any clues.
The short man stared at Luo Chen in thought for a moment before speaking, "I don't know. The mission only brought us here; we don't know anything else, not even who this 'Mu' is. But the only information we have is that one of them is a Grandmaster."
Luo Chen frowned. This was strange. Could it be that their real target wasn't Mu Shanhai? Why were they here? Luo Chen felt a headache coming on.
When will my brain evolve into Sherlock Holmes?
System, why don't you open a new instance? I'd like to go and learn from Sherlock Holmes.
"That Grandmaster?" The short man's words were strange. Did he mean Qi Tianlong or that there was a Grandmaster among the people who issued the mission? Luo Chen wanted to know more.
"You've asked enough questions," the short man snapped, refusing to answer Luo Chen's further questions.
"How stingy." Luo Chen pouted.
“You killed so many of us. Originally, I planned to kill you before going on the mission, but I’ve changed my mind. If you join us, I can spare your life.”
Hearing the short man's words, Luo Chen chuckled to himself, recalling a famous saying: "The mere hatred of killing one's father is nothing to be concerned about."
"What, you want to back out?" The short man asked with a gloomy face and a somewhat displeased tone.
"No, it's an equivalent exchange, I'll give it to you."
"What do you mean, 'give us'? Aren't you supposed to come over here?" The short man looked puzzled, not understanding what Luo Chen meant.
But the next moment, Luo Chen stretched his right hand out from behind his back, tapped the grenade, and threw it over.
"Huh, what's this?" The tall man caught it and looked at the small, smoking ball in his hand with a puzzled expression.
"Throw it away! Get out of the way! It's a grenade!" The short man's expression changed drastically. He yelled at the tall man and ran behind him.
The tall man realized what was happening, let out a cry, and threw it behind him.
What a coincidence... it just happens to be the direction from which the shorter person is.
Luo Chen blinked, watching this scene, and silently recited in his heart, "This humble monk has the virtue of cherishing life."
Bang!
"Fuck your uncle, you brat!"
Luo Chen shrank back as he heard a roar mixed in with the sound of the explosion.
Second Uncle, please bear with your grandson's suffering.
“Equivalent exchange? I didn’t say I wanted to exchange anything with you. You yourselves didn’t make it clear, so how can you blame me?” Luo Chen walked down the mountain, constantly trying to comfort his wounded heart.
After running all the way, Luo Chen finally arrived at the foot of the mountain and reached a rest stop.
"The power of the grenades is truly formidable," Luo Chen exclaimed, gazing at the devastated ground.
Luckily, I brought a grenade with me when I came down the mountain. These things are really useful.
Luo Chen originally intended to kill the two, but after exchanging blows, he realized that it would take some time to kill them.
But what he needs most right now is time, so he has no choice but to resort to this desperate measure.
"What era are we living in? Still playing the bare-handed game? Wouldn't it be stupid not to use firearms?"
Luo Chen pondered for a moment, then called out softly to the flat ground, "Old Tie, Wang Er, where are you?"
"Hey bro, bro?"
Luo Chen called out a few times, but there was no response, and his heart sank.
Could something really have gone wrong?
