Chapter 224 Su Jin, Keep Your People in line

Wan Taotao whistled, jumped out of the car, and walked up to Ruan Chen.

In the short time it took, Wan Taotao had already changed into a motorcycle outfit, put on glamorous makeup, and walked towards Ruan Chen.

In contrast, Ruan Chen, dressed simply in jeans and a school uniform, without any makeup, looked incredibly well-behaved.

Wan Taotao walked up to Ruan Chen in a frivolous manner, whistled lightly again, and reached out her hand.

Ruan Chen remained unmoved.

"Don't you understand what I mean?" Wan Taotao's face fell.

She didn't expect Ruan Chen to be so calm at this moment, still with a cold and indifferent attitude towards everyone.

“I don’t understand,” Ruan Chen suddenly laughed, his hands in his pockets. “What do you mean by this?”

"Give me the tickets."

"Open robbery?"

“How could that be?” Wan Taotao was obviously very experienced and didn’t fall into Ruan Chen’s trap. “Let me check if it’s true or false for you.”

Ruan Chen discovered that Wan Taotao was much dumber than she had imagined.

She's so stupid she doesn't even bother to put in the effort.

"Make way," Ruan Chen said, unable to even be serious. "I'm in a hurry, you know. The concert starts in an hour, in the western suburbs."

“I have five tickets, which are now worth between 13,000 and 18,000 yuan. Each ticket has its own number, and the band can verify their authenticity.”

“You think there are no cameras in this alley and alley, but there are entrances and exits, and your time matches mine.”

"Wan Taotao, I can give you these five tickets, but you need to think carefully about how long you want to stay in jail."

She lowered her voice for the last sentence, speaking softly and coldly, "Your parents must have told you that going to jail isn't a pleasant experience, right?"

This afternoon, she took some time to investigate Wan Taotao's background and learned that Wan Taotao's family had a dirty history and that her parents were still in jail.

The crime committed was an economic offense.

Ruan Chen wasn't a saint, nor did she want to save people. She was trying to calm herself down and talk to Wan Taotao slowly, thinking that Wan Taotao would listen to her advice. Otherwise, she didn't want to cause trouble by having to go to the police station again.

Wan Taotao clenched her fists, and her breathing became rapid.

The boy behind her impatiently called out, "Tao Tao, shall we do it?"

Wan Taotao took a few steps back, and after retreating a few steps, she finally turned around and said, "Never mind, I'm in a good mood today, Brother Fu, let's go."

Ruan Chen didn't expect Wan Taotao to be more obedient than she had imagined.

She chuckled softly, casually pulled off her school uniform jacket, and prepared to leave.

She casually draped her loose coat over her shoulder. The man Wan Taotao called Brother Fu, who had turned his car around to leave, suddenly had a flash of inspiration and squeezed the brakes.

Ruan Chen had been keeping her head down, her large school uniform obscuring her figure. Now, as she looked up and smiled, and pulled off her coat, Brother Fu could see Ruan Chen's figure and face clearly at a glance.

He swallowed hard, feeling his body gradually becoming hot.

His voice was a little hoarse. He turned to Wan Taotao and said, "Taotao, come down and go back first. I have something to take care of."

Wan Taotao had been in the underworld for quite some time, and she immediately understood what Brother Fu meant.

“Brother Fu…” Wan Taotao was stunned.

She instinctively wanted to stop him, but then she couldn't help but weigh the pros and cons.

Ruan Chen just threatened her with her parents' imprisonment, which was the past she most wanted to hide, and her most shameful side.

She once aspired to get into the best high school and the best university in Jingzhou to clear her parents' names.

But Ruan Chen actually used such a threatening tone and such nonchalance to bring up those dirty memories she had hidden in her heart!

Wan Taotao couldn't help but wonder, if Ruan Chen's most shameful side were exposed in front of her, what confidence would she have to say such things?

Seeing that Wan Taotao didn't move, Brother Fu impatiently shook the car.

Wan Taotao snapped out of her reverie, jumped out of the car, and said, "Brother Fu."

Ruan Chen could guess what Brother Fu was thinking—his disgusting gaze was burning into her.

After Wan Taotao jumped out of the car, Brother Fu also got out of the car.

Wan Taotao was positioned right between the two of them. Brother Fu urged Wan Taotao to get out of there, but she didn't move.

“You want to stand up for her? Wan Taotao, have you thought this through?” Brother Fu looked Wan Taotao up and down. “Don’t be ungrateful. You’ve been given a little bit of credit and you’re already taking advantage of me? While I still have some patience with you, get out of here.”

Ruan Chen was somewhat surprised, not expecting that Wan Taotao could actually do something decent.

But the next second, Wan Taotao shattered Ruan Chen's illusions about humanity.

With a fawning smile on her face, Wan Taotao took out her phone. "Brother Fu, how could I dare to ruin your good deed? I just wanted to... keep a memento."

Looking at the phone in her hand, Brother Fu understood Wan Taotao's meaning and smiled ambiguously, "Taotao, you're quite something now, ruthless enough."

The people around her laughed and got out of the car, surrounding Ruan Chen and looking at her greedily with the eyes of hungry wolves eyeing their prey.

Ruan Chen lowered her eyes and stared at the ground.

"Oh, little girl, are you shy? Why don't you dare look at people?"

"Brother Fu, hurry up, the brothers are all lined up waiting."

"Tao Tao, when you're recording, don't include our faces in the video. You can do whatever you want with the rest."

A group of people started to jeer.

Wan Taotao was getting a little carried away and became quite smug. She thought that Ruan Chen, who was high and mighty, would soon be trampled into the dust by her. Who knows, she might even make Ruan Chen cry and kowtow to her twice in a while.

Wan Taotao looked at her shoes and wondered if she should ask Ruan Chen to lick the tips of her shoes clean. That would be quite interesting, wouldn't it?

"You really didn't listen to what I said."

A soft sigh came from behind her.

Wan Taotao turned around and met Ruan Chen's sympathetic and pitying gaze.

"Wan Taotao, we've been classmates, I'll give you another chance."

Ruan Chen showed no sign of panic as she spoke, slowly and methodically wrapping her school uniform around her hands.

"What a joke! Do you think I need you to give me a chance? Ruan Chen, you're the one who's about to be finished. If you kneel down and beg me now, I might put in a good word for you with Brother Fu later, and maybe that will save you some trouble."

Brother Fu reached out and pushed Wan Taotao aside. "Alright, stop talking nonsense. If you want to record, stand further away—don't get scared and cry later."

Ruan Chen tilted her head coolly and mischievously, looking at Wan Taotao, "Make sure you hold onto your phone well, and don't let your hands shake later."

Five minutes later, several people were found lying haphazardly in the sparsely populated alley.

Ruan Chen stood on an overturned motorcycle, her school uniform wrapped around her hand, which was still dripping blood.

With her other hand, she held her phone high and took a picture of the people on the ground, then sent it to Su Jin.

Five seconds later, Su Jin's call came in.

He immediately launched into a string of apologies.

Ruan Chen said calmly, "I'll take care of this group for you today. Su Jin, please learn to manage your own people."
