Chapter 35 The Greedy and Vicious Nanny 13
Lu Chengjun walked over, his expression indifferent, and punched Lu Chengjin in the face.
"She is your future sister-in-law."
Lu Chengjin turned around, easily freed his hands from the socks used to bind people behind the chair, and stood up to punch Lu Chengjun in return.
Lu Chengjun groaned, took a few steps back, wiped the blood from his lips, and half-closed his eyes.
He took off the suit he had worn to see Xie Rong.
[Host, they're fighting!] The system stared in disbelief as it watched two men who looked almost identical wrestle together, their eyes fierce and silent, like two male lions fighting over a beautiful female.
Xie Rong raised her phone, turned on the recording, excitedly licked her lips, and her eyes sparkled. "It's better than TV."
When he first arrived at the villa, he was so amazed by the TV, which was much bigger than himself. He looked around the TV, wanting to take pictures to show his mother-in-law. He was amazed that rich people had such big TVs!
Later, when Lu Chengjin was asked to do chores, he would watch TV, especially Animal World, but he got tired of it after a while.
Live broadcasts are still more entertaining.
[Fine, the main plot has already gone off track anyway, I want to watch it too!] The white slime moved closer to Xie Rong's phone and started pointing as well.
In the dead of night, when all was quiet and deserted, the room, though large, was filled with strange and unusual gadgets that Xie Rong had somehow acquired, making it unsuitable for fighting.
So the two men left the room and then started fighting in the hallway.
Xie Rong yawned and didn't follow them out; he lay on the bed and dozed off for a while.
He was awakened by a deafening roar.
Xie Rong stepped out of the room in his fluffy slippers, looked around but didn't see anyone in the corridor. He walked to the top of the stairs, put his hands on the glass handrail and looked down.
There were no lights on the first floor, and in the thick darkness, a tall figure could be vaguely outlined.
The figure stood at the bottom of the stairs, leaning against the wall, with another figure lying at its feet, as if it had accidentally rolled down from the second floor.
The plot from the original book still happened, only with a different person.
Xie Rong watched as the figure crouched down, seemingly searching for something on the unconscious body.
He smirked, turned on the flashlight on the back of his phone, and shone it on the man's face. "Looking for this?"
He waved the phone in his hand that belonged to Lu Chengjun.
The man looked up, his gaze falling on the phone he was holding, and slowly stood up.
With the help of the flashlight, Xie Rong finally saw his face clearly.
"Lu Chengjun?" he deliberately misspoke. "Is it you?"
The man didn't speak, but slowly walked up the stairs. Xie Rong couldn't see his expression under his bangs, but she could see that his lips were flat and his sharp chin reflected a pale light under the flashlight.
"How about this, you give me five million, and I'll give you the phone," Xie Rong winked.
"You want to take the money and leave instead of becoming the matriarch of the Lu family?" The man stared at him, his breathing still ragged.
At nineteen, he's not exactly a man, but perhaps because he's gotten used to taking Lu Chengjun's place these past few days, he's started to speak more maturely.
Xie Rong looked the man up and down and scoffed, "Who knows if he'll be crippled if he falls?"
“Okay,” Lu Chengjin said, glancing at his wet hair. “Wait a few minutes for me.”
Xie Rong returned to her room.
A few minutes later, he heard the sound of an ambulance tearing through the night and stopping in front of the villa.
The door to the room was pushed open, and Lu Chengjin walked in. The wounds on his face had been treated, leaving them in patches of purple and red. He still maintained a cold demeanor, and Xie Rong couldn't help but laugh out loud when she saw him.
You've already been beaten up like this, what are you still pretending for? Can't you stand not acting like a jerk?
Xie Rong stepped forward, pressed her fingertips heavily on Lu Chengjin's wound, and looked up expectantly.
Lu Chengjin looked at him expressionlessly, without saying a word, as if he couldn't feel the pain.
Xie Rong's face fell, her expression gloomy, and she remained silent. Clearly, her attempt to sabotage had failed, and she was dissatisfied with the man's reaction, which only angered her.
Lu Chengjin took a hairdryer from beside the wardrobe, walked to the bedside, and began to blow-dry a strand of Xie Rong's hair.
The man's rough fingertips slowly slipped into Xie Rong's hair roots, caressing his scalp.
Xie Rong shivered, shook his head uncomfortably, slapped his hand away, and said coldly, "Blow properly, don't touch my head."
Lu Chengjin lowered his eyes, waited until his hair was about 80% dry, turned off the hairdryer, and took out a black card from his pocket. "There are five million in this card."
Xie Rong raised his head, reached out and snatched the card, kissed it, and then casually admired the gold foil on the card.
"What's the password?"
Lu Chengjin leaned down, rested his chin on his shoulder, and put one arm around his waist. "I've always been puzzled."
“We both have the same surname, Lu. I have everything he has, so why…” The man grabbed his chin, turned his face back, and said in a cold, piercing voice, “As long as I take his name, you can fawn over him and let anyone kiss you in bed. But when dawn breaks, I’ll only be fit to wash your socks?”
Xie Rong glanced at him sideways, "Do I need a reason to dislike you?"
[Congratulations, host! The protagonist's pain level has increased by 1. Current pain level: 80]
“Hates me,” Lu Chengjin said with a self-deprecating smile, nodded, and reached into his pocket to pull out another card. “This family card has fifty million in it, fifty million and hates me…”
Lu Chengjin paused for a moment, then asked calmly, "Have you decided what to choose?"
Xie Rong squinted, turned around and tried to snatch the card from his hand, but the card didn't budge.
He bit the man's tiger's mouth hard, tasting a slightly metallic sweetness on his lips. As soon as Lu Chengjin loosened his grip, he stuffed the card into his bathrobe and hid it.
“I want both,” Xie Rong glanced at him, licked the blood from his lips, and grabbed Lu Chengjin’s tie like a dog leash. His beautiful eyes were filled with undisguised greed and ambition. “I hate you, and I want the fifty million.”
His nanny was exceptionally greedy.
"That depends on whether you can eat it," Lu Chengjin said.
Lu Chengjin leaned down, grabbed his chin, and kissed him. With his other hand, he casually unbuttoned the shirt collar, his eyelids flushed with lust.
[Host? This plot isn't quite right, is it?] Before the system could say anything, the screen was suddenly blocked, and it was sent back to the system space, where it could only stare blankly at the dark screen, unable to see or hear anything.
...
The next day.
Xie Rong didn't wake up until almost noon.
Feet covered in hickeys casually peeked out from under the covers. He took out his phone to check the time, but then noticed a familiar headline. He instinctively clicked on it to take a look.
'The president of the Lu Group, drunk late at night, accidentally fell from the second floor and remains unconscious after being rescued [Breaking News]'
'The internal scandal of the Lu Group family exposed: the truth behind the Lu family head's fall from a building [explosive]'
"What are you looking at?"
Xie Rong turned her head and saw Lu Chengjin push the door open and walk in. Several bright red scratches on his neck were particularly eye-catching. He held a glass of milk in his left hand and a plate of fried eggs shaped like hearts in his right hand.
