☆ Anomaly, Plane Crash
Hearing Wesker's dangerous tone, alarm bells rang in Ye Xi's mind. She struggled to get away from Wesker, but the small storage room was an impenetrable cage for her. No matter how she tried to escape, she couldn't escape Wesker's grasp. Wesker wasn't in a hurry. He calmly watched Ye Xi's powerless struggles, then reached out and grabbed her arm, dragging her towards him. He tore off her sleeve and, under her terrified, animal-like gaze, injected the virus into her body.
The concentrated viral fluid was far more potent than Ye Xi had imagined, and the virus spread throughout her body much faster than when she had been bitten by zombies before. In less than a few seconds, Ye Xi felt a sharp, throbbing pain in her head, as if something else was invading her consciousness. Ye Xi gritted her teeth, glaring fiercely at the increasingly blurry Wesker before her, trying to stay awake, but it was harder than climbing to heaven.
"Wesker...you'll get what's coming to you!!" With her last shred of consciousness, Ye Xi roared at Wesker, her clear voice now replaced by the sticky, nauseating sound she used to have when she was still a zombie. The simple worship that had remained on the level of anime had long since turned into resentment and even...fear. Ye Xi couldn't go on. Living like this was exhausting, but she was unwilling to submit to this man. Caught in this internal contradiction, she gradually lost consciousness.
Wesker simply ignored Ye Xi's curses. He looked at "Ye Xi," who was bracing herself on all fours like a ferocious beast, and listened to her beast-like growls. Even though she had already lost consciousness, she still endured the physical mutations caused by the T-virus... Wesker crossed his arms and looked at the bulges on "Ye Xi's" spine that rose and fell, and her black fingernails that were gripping the ground and even cracked and bleeding. He nodded slightly with an ambiguous meaning—that virus was indeed more powerful than he had imagined.
Wesker vanished from the storeroom without a trace, just as he had arrived silently. A beam of light shone into the dim marble of the storeroom—the door opened silently—making the creature on the ground, no longer human, appear incredibly eerie. It slowly raised its head, its scarlet beastly eyes gleaming coldly. Instantly, a faint stench of decay filled the air.
The alarm went off, and it darted out of the room as if startled, disappearing down the hallway in less than a second...
Even in a bustling metropolis like Tokyo, people usually fall into a deep sleep in the early hours of the morning, except for one place—Umbrella’s iconic skyscraper that pierces the night sky.
"Warning! Warning! The target is escaping towards Sector R-7!" Alarms blared incessantly inside the building, and hurried footsteps filled the entire space. The experimental subject's mutation rate was far faster than Umbrella's higher-ups had anticipated. Perhaps the T-virus had accumulated within her, or perhaps something else entirely; the true reason could only be known by capturing Ye Xi. Unfortunately, anesthetics and stun guns were completely ineffective; instead, the number of mutated zombies resulting from the subject's attacks only increased.
The situation was extremely serious. The pampered high-ranking officials were truly panicked this time. If they didn't stop her, the consequences would be unimaginable... So... "Alarm! Alarm! Due to the extremely high level of danger posed by the target, the order is changed to life or death! Due to the extremely high level of danger posed by the target, the order is changed to life or death!" For those high-ranking officials in the Asian region, the experimental subjects, whose life or death was of little concern, were certainly not as precious as their own lives.
"Hmph, short-sighted rats." Wesker stood in front of the central monitor, coldly thinking to himself. His gaze followed a fleeting black shadow on the screen, his mind calculating something unknown. However, after this major incident, those old fogies at Umbrella should seriously consider the future of these branch office rats.
However, as soon as the new order was given, the figure seemed to understand, immediately darting towards the window. The security forces, who had just been equipped with weapons, hadn't had time to prepare. By the time they reached the window, the figure had already soared high into the air. Just when everyone thought it would crash heavily to the ground, the trees in the garden outside the building suddenly grew wildly. A long branch reached it within seconds, wrapping around its waist. Then, in a flash, it was pulled away. The wildly growing tree returned to its original state in the blink of an eye, and the so-called experimental subject disappeared into the endless night...
"What are you all standing there for? Go after them!!" The stiff, mechanical voice from the siren suddenly transformed into a man's furious roar. The mercenaries from the security force quickly retreated towards the gate, only to be stopped by a cold voice. "No need to chase them. Return to your posts."
“Albert Wesker! What are you doing?!” The man behind the siren paused slightly upon hearing the familiar voice, then roared angrily. However, Wesker on the other end of the line completely ignored the man, who was one rank higher than him, and calmly issued the order: “Experimenter, return to the lab. Subject 01 researcher, start the application. Satellite positioning. Project Eve, commence.”
"Wait, Project Eve? What have you been doing behind my back?!"
“Andrew… no, Kamikawa Makino, I think your dismissal notice has already appeared in your inbox. Headquarters has officially asked me to take over your position.” The voice was as deep and cold as ever, yet it struck his heart like a thousand-pound hammer.
"Wait, what's going on..." The rest of his words disappeared after the broadcast was turned off. Wesker, his face stiff, continued to order his subordinates, "Kamikawa Makino is no longer of any use."
"yes."
Wesker turned and walked toward his new office. Looking out at the pitch blackness, he suddenly curled the corners of his mouth slightly, but all his emotions were hidden behind his opaque sunglasses: "Ye Xi, take one look at my new world, and you'll understand how perfect it is."
All the undercurrents lie hidden in the darkness. Sleeping humans have never considered the true end of the world. Perhaps it will come in the next second, perhaps a year from now; the arrival of doomsday always catches people off guard. Death dislikes deception, but humanity always dismisses the so-called apocalypse as merely an excuse from environmental organizations, then continues its blissful but ultimately unsatisfying indulgence in worldly vanities. Perhaps it's time for a cleansing of this world, but this so-called cleanser belongs to no one. Nature will carry out its own unique laws of natural selection and survival of the fittest.
Albert Wesker understood, but he would never agree. He possessed formidable strength, an innate superior intellect, and of course, the power that the Umbrella Corporation, which he was about to overthrow, was offering up—yes, offering up. Wesker was arrogant, but his arrogance was firmly suppressed by his composure.
A person as powerful as Wesker would typically achieve great things, becoming a celebrated hero or a high-ranking official managing national affairs. However, if we add his ever-expanding ambition and the dark side that has seeped into his bones... no one knows whether Wesker can become a king, but he certainly won't be confined to this small world, living a mediocre life like an ordinary person.
A violent shaking jolted Ye Xi awake from her unconsciousness. She immediately stood up in terror like a frightened animal. With a "bang," Ye Xi cried out in pain, clutching her head and crouching down, wincing as if she were about to scream. However, due to being in a highly tense and dangerous state for so long, Ye Xi managed to swallow her scream.
After calming down a bit, Ye Xi began to look around. It was still dark, but this was clearly not the storage room. She carefully examined her surroundings and found that apart from an exit directly in front of her, everything else was impenetrable. Somewhat puzzled, Ye Xi climbed out and looked around. According to common sense, the object making the noise should be a machine similar to a computer case. As for why there was a gap just big enough for her to curl up, Ye Xi had no idea. She wasn't a science and engineering student; her body was only proficient in biology and chemistry. Of course, she wouldn't understand things that only physics required.
Another jolt shook her, and Ye Xi, unsteady on her feet, leaned against the wall behind her. Sensing something was wrong, she immediately turned to look at the curved metal wall, her mind filled with increasing confusion. Where was she? How did she get here? She remembered being hit by Wesker with that concentrated virus... Ye Xi frowned, unable to recall what had happened. She swallowed hard to clear her ears, then began searching for a way out of the space filled with the roar of machinery.
"Passengers, please note...swaying...affected by airflow..." A muffled voice suddenly rang out, and Ye Xi managed to make out the gist of it. Swaying due to airflow? Ye Xi stopped, looked at the curved wall again, and then swallowed hard—she finally understood. She must be on a passenger plane, and this place, Ye Xi looked around at the machines and wires, was probably the internal engine of the plane, a very safe place.
But how exactly did she sneak past the airport security cameras and get in here? Ye Xi didn't understand. Logically speaking, she should have lost her mind during the time she lost consciousness, so how could she know... where to escape and where to hide to be the safest?
Forget about all that. Ye Xi found a place to sit down, leaned against the wall, and closed her eyes. Since arriving in this world, her nerves had been constantly on edge. Even when she had time to relax, it wasn't for long. Now she would take this opportunity to rest. As for what happened next, she would deal with that later.
In a daze, Ye Xi seemed to dream that he was standing on Wesker's back, with one arm around his best buddy William and the other around his love-hate relationship with Chris, laughing wildly. However, a shaking even more violent than before woke Ye Xi up.
"What the hell is this turbulence messing up my sweet dreams?!" Ye Xi wiped her drool and staggered to her feet, only to fall back to the ground. Such intense shaking and no announcement? Had something happened? Ye Xi gripped the wall's power cord, trying to hold herself in place, but suddenly her body floated up—the plane was falling!
"Damn it!" Ye Xi panicked. Falling like this would be a terrible death! Ye Xi looked around, trying to find something soft to protect her head—as long as her head was okay, she could eventually find a zombie and recover—but she couldn't find anything. In desperation, she could only grip the wire tightly with one hand and cover her head with the other. Just as she got into position, a loud bang rang in her ears, and then she knew nothing more…
After an unknown amount of time, Ye Xi groggily opened her eyes. She couldn't see the top of the plane, but through the shattered metal roof, she could see the tall top of a building. Thank goodness, she wasn't dead... Ye Xi breathed a sigh of relief and tried to move her body, but tragically, she found that she couldn't feel her legs, and one of her hands, which was holding onto an electrical wire, was already buried under the rubble. Only her other hand could still move. As for the pain, Ye Xi, who had already experienced both major and minor pains, had long since ignored it.
A crisp sound suddenly reached Ye Xi's ears. She immediately looked towards the source of the sound and was pleasantly surprised to find it was the sound of a zombie less than a meter away knocking over some rubble. Yes, it was surprise. No words could describe Ye Xi's current feelings, and no words could describe her current affection for this zombie. She suddenly felt that nothing in the world could be more adorable than this zombie!
↑There's no doubt this girl has completely gone mad.
The zombie didn't even notice Ye Xi's predatory gaze; it simply opened its mouth and began to bite into her leg. Before it could even completely bite off a chunk of flesh, a snap was heard, and Ye Xi expertly broke its neck. She quickly pulled her other hand out of the rubble, and as she propped herself up to sit, a wave of nausea suddenly washed over her—no way, how could it be so fast?!
Ye Xi, of course, had no idea what had happened to her at the Umbrella Corporation in Japan. The constant T-virus experiments had long since made her body adapt to, depend on, and even… become addicted to the T-virus… However, Ye Xi wasn't feeling that way yet. She endured the nauseating pain, watching her wounds heal, and then staggered to her feet. Looking around, besides a few wandering red figures, Ye Xi immediately spotted the words not far away: Havadwell Airport.
Havadville Airport? That sounds familiar. It seems to be in America… Never mind, no time to think about it. Ye Xi jumped down from the ruins and headed straight for the second thing she saw—the airport clothing store.

Dante and his dear brother are just too cute! Dante, you're definitely a brother complex!~~~↑ You've gone off-topic, dear. So this chapter only has a small part about the deterioration at the end.
