Chapter 33 Did he frighten her in bed?
Before the lights came on, it was noticed that Shen Zhou's body temperature had been consistently high, and today it was indeed the same, even higher than before.
Slowly raising his head from Chen Zhou's chest, Hua Deng glanced at him quickly and saw that his eyelids were tight, his face was displeased, and he looked like a respectable man who had been harassed.
She was immediately annoyed: "I just wanted to apply some medicine to you. Has no one ever applied medicine to you before?"
Chen Zhou said impatiently, "No."
Even his mother and sister had never shown such close affection.
He warned, "Get up."
Hua Deng remained motionless, secretly pouting, "I'm just checking the wound, why are you being so fierce?"
Shen Zhou's face darkened, and his voice turned cold: "I don't want to say it a second time."
Normally, when he uses this tone, Jinze would immediately run away with his head in his hands, but not Huadeng.
She nodded nonchalantly: "Then don't tell me, let me see."
As she spoke, she reached out to pull off his clothes.
Shen Zhou was too lazy to care anymore; he figured she wouldn't make a fuss once she'd seen it.
She kept her head down, her long hair brushing against his cheek, the ticklish sensation unbearable. Even the agate necklace around her neck had slipped off her clothes and hung down to his chest.
The agate was a vibrant, glistening red, while the neck was a blindingly white. The closer it got to him, the more irritated he became, wanting to strangle it.
He narrowed his eyes, about to grasp the slender neck in front of him.
Suddenly, he caught his breath and grabbed the lantern's hand.
"What are you doing?" he asked menacingly.
Caught red-handed, Hua Deng flinched, then casually said, "Checking the wound, huh?"
"Really? Then what is this hand doing?" Shen Zhou yanked her hand away without any mercy.
It was just a touch of his abs, why are you being so petty?
Hua Deng shrank back guiltily, but quickly regained her composure: "Yes, I touched her, so what?"
I just saw that Shen Zhou's injuries had healed, but his clothes were pulled open, revealing his beautifully defined muscles, especially his abs and V-line...
Sigh, she just made the same mistake that all women in the world make.
"Not very good."
Shen Zhou spoke softly, and gently turned her wrist slightly.
"It's like if I twisted your hand off, it wouldn't matter," he said with a half-smile.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Let go!" Hua Deng cried out immediately.
"I haven't even used any force yet, why are you yelling in pain?" Shen Zhou glared at her.
"I don't care, just let go!"
Shen Zhou didn't loosen his grip, so Hua Deng started to struggle. She was already sitting on Shen Zhou, and now she was moving around even more wildly. Her free hand kept pushing against his body, but suddenly, she accidentally slipped down, brushing against his waist and abdomen.
She froze, and before she could even discern what was under her palm, she reflexively pressed it.
Then she heard Shen Zhou gasp for breath, and the grip on his wrist tightened suddenly, almost crushing her arm.
With a buzz, Hua Deng's mind went blank.
She thinks she touched it, she touched it...
Only one thought remained in my mind: It's over, I'm doomed!
Her face flushed red and pale, she rolled down the bed and timidly hid under the covers, becoming like a hamster that dared not even breathe.
She huddled under the covers, shivering, while Shen Zhou sat beside her, coldly watching her.
Unlike his murderous gaze, his face was flushed with an unnatural red that spread from his ears down to half of his neck.
He should have been killed. Even if he wasn't, he shouldn't have helped her last moonlit night.
No, he shouldn't have agreed to such an outrageous request more than a month ago, which led her to become increasingly demanding and fearless in front of him.
But he had already missed his best opportunity, and now he couldn't think of a way to kill her.
With no movement around for a long time, Hua Deng gradually regained some courage.
She pulled the blanket off very slowly, took a few deep breaths of fresh air, and finally mechanically turned her head.
Shen Zhou was still sitting there, his eyes half-closed, his face expressionless, but his whole body exuded an air of displeasure.
She tried to speak calmly: "You see, actually... it's not a big deal for a real man to be touched, right?"
Shen Zhou lifted his eyelids and stared at her quietly, the murderous intent in his eyes sending a chill down her spine.
There's nothing we can do!
She closed her eyes, steeled her resolve, grabbed Chen Zhou's hand and pressed it against hers, declaring with righteous indignation, "Touch me back, I don't mind!"
She had been resting in bed, wearing the thinnest nightgown, made of soft, clinging silk that rose and fell gently with her breath.
Shen Zhou's hand was thus guided, almost touching him.
The strangest thing was that his reaction speed during the Fusion Stage was so fast that he only came to his senses the moment he touched her, and grabbed Hua Deng's hand to stop her.
Hua Deng opened her eyes, about to ask him what was wrong, when suddenly the world spun around her, and she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head. She was pinned down by him and firmly fixed to the bed.
"you……"
"You don't mind?" Shen Zhou asked, moving closer to her. "Don't mind what?"
Hua Deng's hands were bound above her head, and she moved uneasily, unable to break free.
Shen Zhou, however, remained composed, freeing one hand to touch her cheek with the back of his: "You don't mind here?"
Hua Deng bit her lip, unable to speak.
His hand continued to move down, picking at the irritating agate chain, the skin of the back of his hand lingering over her neck.
"And here?" he asked, twirling the agate bead. His fingertips lightly brushed against a strand of hair on the side of his neck, a ticklish sensation washing over him, causing Hua Deng to tremble uncontrollably.
He smiled slightly, a hint of pity in his eyes: "Are you sure you really won't mind?"
Hua Deng exhaled, her lips already bleeding from being bitten.
Well, she really is... a little bothered by it.
She reluctantly said, "I know, get off me now." She then kicked him.
Shen Zhou curled his lips into a smile, then pressed down on both of her legs, saying leisurely, "No, you said it yourself."
Hua Deng's breath hitched, and she forced herself to breathe heavily: "I didn't tell you to do that."
Shen Zhou countered, "Did you listen to what I said?"
Hua Deng, displaying her unique skill, innocently asked, "What did you say?"
Shen Zhou glanced at her with an ambiguous expression, then slowly lowered his upper body, his breath lingering and unclear.
He stared into her eyes and said, “You should let me leave and then live your own life. I will take care of those who want to harm you; you don’t need to worry about anything.”
"Why don't you listen, Hua Deng?"
Hua Deng abruptly turned her face away, avoiding the heat brought by his approach, and said relentlessly, "I won't!" What kind of boss listens to his employees?
The more she thought about it, the more convinced she was of herself, so she kicked Chen Zhou again: "No, no, no!"
Shen Zhou remained as steady as Mount Tai, gripping her waist to prevent her from moving. Hua Deng's body went numb and she went completely limp.
She stubbornly replied, "...I'll say what I want to say later. Get out of my way."
Shen Zhou slowly increased the pressure: "No."
Hua Deng was driven to the brink of madness by his hands, and anger welled up inside her. She slammed her head against Chen Zhou's forehead, and before he could react, she broke free with her right hand, grabbed a blanket, and shoved it over both of their heads.
Come on, let's kill each other!
She hugged Chen Zhou's waist and rolled around for a while. The two of them rolled around in the quilt two or three times. Their vision was dim, their hair was tangled, and they could no longer tell each other apart.
Finally, Shen Zhou braced his elbow against the wall, forcefully stopping the lantern, and rolled out of the covers.
He looked at Hua Deng, who was still in the blanket, her swollen mound, and pressed down on the back of her neck to bury her even deeper. When he heard Hua Deng's angry curses, his smile became even more blatant.
But the next second, he stopped smiling and stared at his palm with an inscrutable expression.
Why on earth would he play such a pointless game here?
Just as he was about to leave with a blank expression, Hua Deng peeked out from under the covers.
Her hair was messy, with several unruly strands sticking to her cheeks. She looked a little dazed, blinking her big eyes as if she were thinking about something.
Her clothes were in complete disarray; the knot at her waist had long since come undone, the collar had slipped down to one shoulder, revealing half of her rounded shoulder, and...
And just now, the place she wanted him to touch.
Shen Zhou calmly raised his hand, pulled the blanket over her, and wrapped her up tightly.
Hua Deng: "?"
She kicked her feet, but couldn't kick off the blanket; the effect was more like wriggling in bed.
Shen Zhou laughed out loud.
Hua Deng: "Let me out! How childish, you lunatic! You big jerk!"
Her curses were like a booster, making Shen Zhou even happier. It was as if in his eyes Hua Deng was a silkworm pupa, and if he poked her with his finger, she would struggle.
They're quite cute.
Hua Deng: "I'm angry!"
Shen Zhou: "Hmm." (Pokes the button.)
The streetlights flickered: "I'm really angry! I'll never talk to you again!"
Shen Zhou: "How terrifying." (Pokes repeatedly)
You bastard, go to hell!
Hua Deng angrily looked up and slammed her head into his chest with all her might, causing him to stagger and fall against the headboard with a very soft groan.
But the streetlights heard it. And they heard it for the second time.
Her anger inexplicably faltered, as if she realized something, and she quickly said, "System, scan."
The system presented her with the scanned image: "Host, he used an illusion."
Despite Shen Zhou's seemingly unaffected appearance, a deep sword wound pierced through his chest, likely not far from his heart.
The wound stopped bleeding, but it failed to heal completely. The black sword wound was like a curse, deeply etched into his flesh and bones.
Hua Deng suddenly broke free from under the covers and grabbed his collar: "Your injuries haven't healed at all!"
Shen Zhou looked down at her: "It's done."
"You lied to me, Chen Zhou." Hua Deng stubbornly looked back at him. "Why didn't you tell me!"
Shen Zhou frowned, and Hua Deng, holding her breath, insisted on lifting his collar.
"No need," Shen Zhou said calmly, blocking her way.
"Let me see!" Hua Deng said anxiously.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't overcome Chen Zhou's strength. Finally, her words softened, almost pleading: "Just take a look, otherwise I won't be at ease."
Shen Zhou's brow twitched, and with a slight headache, he withdrew his hand and removed the illusion, turning his eyes away to let her look.
The hideous, winding scars were now fully exposed to the streetlights, their dark color overwhelming her thoughts and leaving her speechless for a long time.
Shen Zhou leaned against the headboard, waiting listlessly for a while, but still didn't hear her speak. He casually adjusted his collar.
She should be able to put it down after she finishes reading it.
But he found that two hands were gripping his clothes tightly, seemingly unwilling to cover up his wounds.
He lowered his eyes in surprise.
Hua Deng knelt beside him, her small head bowed low, silent, a single tear hanging quietly on her cheek, its duration unknown.
Why……
Chen Zhou was momentarily lost in thought.
Did he scare her?
