Chapter Eight: A desperate struggle to break free, the descendants of the gyrfalcon?

"Shark... Shark King? How the hell did I get involved with such a monster?"

"Could it be that this guy was also attracted by the food?" Li Changge managed to calm down.

The arrival of the shark swarm filled Li Changge with utter despair.

Even with the cracks around him, he didn't think he could leave this place alive.

Fortunately, the Shark King's attention was only on the cracked body, and he didn't have any intention of killing Li Changge yet.

"Crack open, come here." Li Changge beckoned, but the latter ignored him.

"Bah! Bah! Bah!"

Three sharp shouts rang out in quick succession, carrying a strong warning.

"Roar." The Shark King roared, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

"System, what are Crack and Shark King saying?" Li Changge was a little puzzled. Were these two strange sea creatures communicating?

"The Shark King wants the gyrfalcon's egg. As the guardian, there's no room for negotiation. These two are about to fight."

"Damn it, does the system have any way to drive away the Shark King?" Li Changge asked anxiously.

Although both Crack and Shark King are elite-level alien beasts, Crack has far more fish than Shark King. If they were to actually fight, Crack would inevitably suffer a great loss.

"Bah!"

"roar!"

The shouts from both sides grew increasingly ferocious. The Shark King's eyes, as large as copper bells, were filled with bloodlust. Its wings were fully extended, and although it was outnumbered in size, it was superior in terms of sheer presence…

It's just as good as the other side even when it cracks.

The two strange beasts were almost out of control.

"Roar!" The Shark King could no longer hold back and roared, causing more than twenty sharks to surface, revealing their sharp teeth.

"Screech!" It burst open and soared into the sky, its wings like cleavers, heading straight for the Shark King.

"Damn, they started fighting over nothing?"

Shark King and Crack were locked in a fierce battle, with neither able to gain the upper hand, but Shark King had far too many subordinates.

Twenty great white sharks surrounded Li Changge's raft from four directions.

Even Li Changge could see the sharks' sharp teeth.

"Damn it, what should I do?" Li Changge said, on the verge of tears.

"What else can we do? The raft hasn't been upgraded to level three, so we can't escape. We can only wait to die."

"Damn it, system, can't you speak like a human being?"

"Sorry, this is human language."

"Alas, all we can do is try our best and leave the rest to fate." Li Changge summoned the Fishing Rod for All Things, preparing for a desperate fight.

The sea was turbulent due to the battle between two elite-level alien beasts, with large waves crashing onto the raft.

Li Changge's raft was teetering on the brink of capsizing, so he could only kneel on the raft and open his eyes a crack to observe his surroundings.

Sharks leaped out of the waves and bit into Li Changge's raft, some of the planks already being chewed up by the sharks.

"Oh no, where's my egg?" Li Changge exclaimed as he saw the mythical egg had rolled to the edge of the raft.

Just as he was about to roll down, he leaped into the water, ignoring whether the shark would bite off his head, and instantly grabbed the mythical egg into his arms before quickly retreating back to the middle of the raft.

"My little egg, although you are very powerful, you are still just an egg. I don't know how long I can protect you. It's all up to fate." Li Changge kissed the mythical egg, then looked up at the battle.

The battle between the Crack and the Shark King has reached a fever pitch. The former lives up to its reputation as a beast capable of taking on prehistoric behemoths. The Shark King is already showing signs of exhaustion and is covered in wounds.

Although its body was torn and feathers were flying everywhere, at least there were no serious injuries.

The difference in quality between the two strange beasts is immediately apparent.

This improved Li Changge's situation considerably; although the raft was badly damaged, he himself was unharmed.

"Roar!" The Shark King roared, and all the sharks abandoned the raft and swam towards the Shark King.

The battle between the two elite-level alien beasts seems to be reaching a decisive point.

"Bah!"

A piercing scream echoed through the sky, and its split body, illuminated by the sun, seemed to gradually grow larger.

But Li Changge saw that the cracked eyes were in great pain, as if they were enduring excruciating agony.

"Crack! Stop! Don't do this!" Li Changge, clutching the egg, could only rage helplessly below.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!" The shark king roared uneasily from below, as if warning that something was about to crack open.

But the creature was already in a frenzy, its body continued to grow larger, its deep green feathers unfurling, as if the sun itself was under the wings of its wings, giving it a feeling somewhat like the legendary gyrfalcon.

"Now I finally understand why Cracked was protecting this egg," Li Changge murmured.

It turns out that the Cracked Eagle is a descendant of the gyrfalcon. Judging from its split shape, its bloodline is not far from that of the gyrfalcon.

"Roar!" Seeing the crack open, the Shark King went berserk. He gave a symbolic warning and quickly led his minions away.

Bang!

With the danger averted, the crack, like a deflated balloon, quickly returned to its original shape and fell onto the raft.

"Crack, crack, please don't really crack." Li Changge put down the egg, walked over and picked up Crack.

At this moment, its body was almost entirely covered in bloody wounds, with fresh blood constantly seeping out. What was once a perfectly healthy bird was now turning into a blood bird.

Moreover, although his split eyes were still open, they had lost their vitality, and he had fallen into a deep coma.

"Cracked, cracked, wake up!" Li Changge cried out in distress, tears welling in her eyes, as she shook her cracked body repeatedly.

"Host, stop shouting. The Rending Eagle has the bloodline of the gyrfalcon and possesses the ability to heal itself. Moreover, its desperate attack is somewhat similar to that of the gyrfalcon. The richness of its bloodline is beyond imagination. We can only lay it flat and occasionally water it. It will wake up."

"Oh, that's alright then." Li Changge was relieved and placed the gyrfalcon in the wooden tub, and also placed the mythical egg next to it.

As for the water purifier and the like, Li Changge took them out and placed them aside.

"Damn it, these nasty sharks." The newly upgraded Level 2 raft had been torn to shreds by the sharks, leaving less than two-thirds of it usable.

Left with no other choice, Li Changge continued to hook the wooden barrels, turning all the wood inside into planks, and began the journey of repairing the raft.

After working for most of the day, Li Changge not only repaired the raft, but also erected half-person-high barriers around it to prevent things like wooden barrels from falling into the sea.

"Not bad, not bad." Li Changge was very satisfied with the barrier he installed. Although it took most of the day, it was at least worth the effort.

Seeing that the cracks inside the wooden barrel showed signs of healing, Li Changge was even happier.

Li Changge looked at the sun overhead. Based on his estimation, it was probably between 2 and 4 pm, with more than three hours until sunset.

Since there was no fire in the ocean, Li Changge decided to collect enough food so that the steamer could provide him with warmth at night.

Whether there is an open flame or not is just a formality.

The most important thing is that it needs to have calories.
