Chapter Forty-Eight: Heading to Sea in Search of Metal Ore

“This island is so desolate that, in our experience, we can’t find anything of value.”

"I'm so annoyed," Xiong Da said.

At the same time, he cautiously glanced at Li Changge, but the latter remained expressionless and very calm.

"Um."

Li Changge nodded.

Xiong Da and his companion stood nervously before Li Changge, their fates in the hands of this young man.

"Thank you for your hard work."

Upon hearing this, Xiong Da breathed a sigh of relief and quickly put on a fawning smile, "It's no trouble at all, it's our honor to serve you."

"Alright, do one last thing for me, and then you can leave."

"Damn, is this guy ever going to stop?" Xiong Da thought to himself, but said with a smile, "What else is there, boss? Don't just say one thing, even if it's ten things, I can handle it."

Li Changge revealed a mocking smile, "Then please go die."

The two bear brothers were furious and were about to turn on each other.

call out!

With a soft thud, Brother Bear collapsed to the ground, blood seeping from the back of his head.

Li Changge stepped forward and pulled the blood-stained dagger from Xiong Er's head.

"This short blade is quite useful."

Li Changge wiped the blood off the short blade, gave a shout and it split open. Then, the man and the beast left the place.

Xiong Da and his companion had committed numerous evil deeds, and Li Changge had no intention of letting them go.

Boom!

A 20-meter-long sailboat on the beach crashed to the ground; it was Chen Gui's boat, now torn apart and completely destroyed.

"They're gone."

Li Changge didn't find anything of value on the sailboat, but not wanting to benefit those who landed on the island later, he simply destroyed it.

"I never expected that my biggest gain when I left would be just a short blade, when I arrived in good condition."

Li Changge lay on the deck and said self-deprecatingly.

"sleep."

It was already dark, and with no other forms of entertainment, Li Changge simply lay down on the deck and went to sleep.

...

The next morning, Li Changge was woken up by the noise.

"Damn it, where did that beeping sound come from? It's so annoying."

Li Changge stormed off toward the source of the sound.

Control room.

"My raft is more than half destroyed. It's been two days, and I still can't gather enough resources to repair it. I'm doomed."

"Waaaaah, are you as miserable as me? All the resources I painstakingly collected are gone..."

"My water purifier is gone, my hammer is gone, my barbecue grill is destroyed, I'm so hungry, I'm so thirsty! Aaaaaah!"

"Just yesterday, I saw a scream coming from the sea not far from me. I was terrified."

"Brothers, my good brothers, I haven't eaten for two days. Is there any big brother who can take pity on me and give me a bite to eat?"

"Does any older brother have any spare resources that I could lend? I can make nine out and thirteen back."

Isn't this just a disguised form of usury?

Li Changge raised an eyebrow, noticing the chat channel was already overwhelmed.

He never expected that even after two days, there would still be so many people in distress.

In comparison, Li Changge's life can be described as very comfortable.

"Perhaps I can take this opportunity to make a fortune."

After reading the chat channel, Li Changge nodded in confirmation.

Afterwards, Li Changge silently typed and sent out messages one after another.

[Due to the global disaster, our store has suffered huge losses and is now operating at a loss.]

The survivors who saw this news nodded in agreement, but they also felt it was a great pity that the restaurant was going to close down.

Therefore, our store has decided to increase the price of all food items by 90%.

"Holy crap?"

"Shop owner, you're fucking rip-off! What are food lovers supposed to do?"

"Hehe, I'll keep the resources for myself, I'm not going to eat them."

"Damn shop owner, why didn't this global catastrophe take you with it?"

Upon hearing this, a large group of survivors launched a barrage of criticism against Li Changge in the comments section.

Some even started verbally abusing Li Changge's family.

[I'm sorry, I'm just a survivor struggling to survive, and I had no choice but to make this decision.]

[Therefore, as compensation, our store has decided to randomly select the first twenty survivors to receive a free serving of our newly released premium product: Steamed Fish with Crystal.]

"Shopkeeper, you're like my father, please, hit me! I haven't eaten for a month."

"The people upstairs are just talking nonsense. If they hadn't eaten for a month, wouldn't they all be dead? Shopkeeper, hit me, hit me! I haven't eaten for three months."

"Heh, I haven't eaten in a year."

“…”

You little punks, you think you can handle me?

Li Changge smiled slightly and exited the trading channel.

He's going to give these guys a hard time.

There is a global disaster and a shortage of supplies.

And Li Changge's delicacies are precisely what's most lacking, so if not now, when?

This promotional activity is absolutely necessary.

Let them have a taste first, let them know...

The price you pay will be worth it.

Li Changge stepped out of the cabin, and all he could see was the sea.

"Since we couldn't find any mineral resources on the earth-attribute islands, we'll have to go to sea."

Li Changge murmured.

"Crack open, keep an eye on the things on the ship."

"Hey."

Thump.

Li Changge jumped into the sea and, like a swimming fish, swiftly dived into the ocean depths.

"This sea area is close to that earth-attribute island; hopefully, we'll find something there."
