Chapter Forty-Four: Braving the Winds and Waves, Undeterred by Disasters

boom!

Thunder roared, and this lightning and thunder once again allowed Li Changge to see the nearby sea clearly.

Sudden,

Li Changge seemed to see a dark figure in the distance.

"Holy crap? Could we have run into that kind of thing?"

Li Changge's face was filled with terror, because he remembered the huge black shadow he had seen earlier.

But he wasn't sure if it was that guy.

At this moment, the three-masted sailboat suddenly accelerated and rushed towards the dark figure.

"Damn it, little boat, are you trying to kill me already?"

Li Changge's eyes widened, and her hands trembled slightly.

No, we absolutely cannot let this happen.

Li Changge gripped the rudder tightly with both hands and performed a super 360-degree spin.

An attempt to combat the disaster using human resources.

But the storm was too strong, and the small boat could not obey the commands from the control room.

They still charged desperately towards the shadowy figure.

"Turn around! Turn around!"

Li Changge roared incessantly, his hands twisted into knots, and the rudder made a constant "toot-toot-toot" sound.

Heaven rewards those who persevere.

With Li Changge's persistent efforts, the three-masted sailboat finally made some movement, shifting its position slightly away from the shadowy figure.

"It works."

Li Changge was startled, and an excited expression appeared on his face.

He continued to turn the rudder, and the three-masted sailboat gradually moved away from the shadowy figure.

A minute later, the three-masted sailboat was already heading in two completely different directions from the shadowy figure.

"Phew, damn it, I almost peed my pants."

Li Changge was soaked to the bone and slumped in the chair.

Even though he was safe, there was still lingering fear in his eyes.

Li Changge didn't know how strong the shadowy figure was, but he did.

If you add the crack yourself, what if you actually hit it...

Old Zi can collect their bodies afterward.

Li Changge managed to stand up. Through the glass, he could clearly feel that the storm outside seemed to have subsided a little.

He slowly moved to the left hatch, stretched out a hand, and felt the storm.

"Huh? It seems to have shrunk a little."

Li Changge's eyes lit up.

The storm is subsiding, which is a good thing, proving that this global catastrophe is almost over.

boom!

Another bolt of lightning struck from the sky.

"Fuck you."

Startled, Li Changge quickly pulled his hand back and began to curse.

Under the bright light of the lightning, he could see the situation in the sea ahead.

But the next moment, his eyes fixed on something.

What came into view was an earthen-yellow island.

"Earth-attribute island".

Li Changge blurted it out.

"We can't let this opportunity slip by."

Li Changge was slightly excited, but quickly calmed down.

Even amidst a global catastrophe, Li Changge remained clear-headed.

Steady as a rock.

After a fleeting glimpse, the sea was plunged back into darkness.

But Li Changge had already memorized the location of the island, so he returned to the control room and took the helm again.

"Crack open, get ready, we might have to land on the island again."

Li Changge said in a deep voice.

Lie Kai, who was still sleeping at the moment, immediately woke up and came to Li Changge's side.

As a perfect-level beast, Liekai's vigilance is always at its highest level.

After cracking open and regaining his footing, Li Changge performed another 180-degree drift, heading towards the island.

The three-masted sailboat struggled forward against the raging wind and rain, its speed somewhat slow.

Li Changge didn't care about any of that; all he could see was that earth-attribute island.

One hour,

Two hours,

Three hours.

Li Changge steered the ship like a machine for three hours, his eyes bloodshot.

It's worrying; he could suddenly die at any moment.

Li Changge only breathed a sigh of relief after he finally saw what the island looked like.

"We've finally arrived."

Li Changge murmured something, then collapsed in the control room.

"Bah!"

Lie Kai was shocked and immediately flew up to check on Li Changge's physical condition.

"Snoring, snoring."

A faint snoring sound came from the air, and only then did Liekai feel relieved.

Oh, it was snoring.

That's alright then.

The cracked skin fell peacefully to the ground, and I drifted off to sleep.

finally……

Li Changge managed to survive this global disaster.

But what about the remaining survivors?

No one can escape this disaster; it's just a matter of how big or small the disaster may be.

The top 100,000 people on the island's landing list will likely survive without major incident, as those who make the list possess exceptional survival skills.

But this is ultimately only a small number of survivors.

Most of the survivors' resources were swept away by the gale, and their rafts were destroyed by the fierce waves.

Even more tragically, some were directly struck dead by lightning.

This eliminates another batch of survivors.

After a night, the disaster gradually subsided.

When Li Changge opened his eyes, it was already the next morning.

Waking up from his sleep, Li Changge patted his face, trying to get his mind working again.

Last night's ordeal was so intense that Li Changge's legs are still a bit weak and powerless.

As soon as Li Changge made a sound, the crack beneath him immediately opened its eyes.

Upon discovering that its owner had recovered, it excitedly flapped its wings a few times.

"It was a bit of a perfunctory job."

Li Changge thought to himself.

He looked around, then walked out of the control room, with Crack following closely behind.

Once outside the control room, Li Changge realized that the yellowish-brown island he had seen the night before was not far from him.
