Chapter 50: Venomous Snake

Xu Xin glanced at the foot of the hill, where the group of wild boars were living.

Another hundred meters ahead, there is a group of strong-looking cattle. The bulls' ferocious horns and huge bodies are more intimidating than the tusks of wild boars.

A few wild deer and foxes can be vaguely seen in the woods.

Xu Xin could also see a large orange tiger suddenly leap out of the forest. From afar, he could hear the howling of wolves.

"...Forget it." Xu Xin gave up. This was too dangerous. He would at least wait until he got back and made a crossbow, gaining a means of long-range attack, before considering entering this area.

If he fought the beasts in close combat, one on one, he might still have a chance, but with so many beasts, if he accidentally attracted several of them, Xu Xin would not be able to withstand it even if he was wearing armor.

Although he didn't plan to go deeper into this area, Xu Xin didn't want to go back now.

He also wanted to hunt a few more wild beasts and obtain more animal tendons and skins, as he currently had too few materials.

Wild boars were a suitable target. A lone wolf would be even better; protected by his iron armor, a single wolf would pose little threat to Xu Xin.

If he was lucky, he might even be able to find a wolf as a mount. He always carried his mount contract with him.

Although wolves are relatively weak in individual combat, they have excellent endurance. When hunting, they basically chase herds of sheep and deer until their prey falls or becomes exhausted. They are adapted to long-distance running and are very suitable as mounts.

He observed the wild beasts below and the red dots on the map, but did not find any lone wolves. The wild boars seemed to have gathered together because their companions had just been hunted, and not a single one was left alone.

"This is a bit troublesome. If I had long-range weapons, I could secretly lure a few of them out. But with this iron suit and spear, I can only force my way in." Xu Xin felt helpless.

After some ideological struggle, Xu Xin gritted his teeth and decided to enter the scope of this resource area, but not to go deep into it. He just wandered around the periphery to see if there were any opportunities.

It is really frustrating if one material is missing.

Xu Xin didn't sneak down, but chose a place far away from the wild boars, walked down the hill openly, and entered the resource area. After all, even if he was careful, it would be useless because his clothes would make noise.

The interior of the circular hills is also a jungle, but the biggest difference from Xu Xin's side is that the jungle here is full of vitality, and all kinds of wild animals are moving around in the jungle.

This side is more like a real jungle.

Xu Xin saw many wild animals that he had never seen before.

Suddenly, a hare darted past him and disappeared into the grass. The hare was so fat that Xu Xin swallowed his saliva.

"When I build a crossbow, I'll practice on this rabbit!"

"Hmm." Coco suddenly patted Xu Xin with her little paw and pointed to the front left.

Xu Xin looked over and squinted for a long time before he saw what Keke was pointing at.

I saw a snake as thick as three fingers lurking on the rock over there. The color of the snake was very similar to the rock, and it almost merged with the rock as it lay on it. If Coco hadn't reminded him, Xu Xin might not have noticed it at all.

Because of the giant anaconda in the lake, Xu Xin is now more sensitive to snakes and subconsciously wants to take a detour, but then he thinks that he is wearing armor and the snake is unlikely to break through his defense.

"Keke, stay here. I'll go kill the snake." Xu Xin reminded Keke softly.

Snake meat, snake skin, snake venom, and snake gall are all good things.

"Hmm." Coco also replied softly, then quickly climbed up a tree next to her and lay on the branch looking at him.

This little guy was not afraid of such a big wild boar before, but he is quite afraid of snakes.

Xu Xin is the exact opposite of Keke. Wild boars might be able to hurt him, but snakes are basically impossible.

He acted as if he hadn't noticed the snake and walked past the rock where it was lurking as if he was taking a walk.

The iron sheet made a sound, and under Xu Xin's peripheral vision, the rock-like snake moved slightly, and then suddenly jumped up!

Here we come!

Xu Xin did not stretch out his hands to block, because he had no protection on his hands, but all other parts of his body except his hands were wrapped in iron sheets.

The rock snake directly wrapped around his legs and bit Xu Xin's shin guard with a crisp sound.

Then there was a sound of something breaking, and the snake made a panting sound, fell directly to the ground and began to twist.

The snake's teeth were directly broken by the armor!

Xu Xin quickly raised his iron-booted foot and stepped hard on the snake, which was three fingers thick.

The seven-inch mark actually refers to the heart. Xu Xin had heard that a snake's heart is located slightly below its head.

He simply stepped there with one foot and stomped hard on the snake's head with the other foot!

The snake under his feet twisted wildly and wrapped around Xu Xin's legs. After a few seconds, it stopped moving.

Xu Xin habitually stepped on the snake's head and seven inches twice, then took out a stone spear and stabbed it twice and added a few more cuts.

"Wearing armor, dealing with these small beasts is as easy as killing a chicken."

After confirming that the three-finger-thick snake was dead, Xu Xin took out the boning knife.

The snake didn't look long when it was coiled up, but when Xu Xin spread it out, it was nearly two and a half meters long. With a body that was three fingers thick, it looked a little scary.

Coco had also jumped down from the tree and was curiously turning over the snake's body with her little paws.

"Don't move. It might not be dead yet. It might jump up and bite you!" Xu Xin threatened.
