Chapter 54: The Wolf King and the Brown Bear

After figuring this out, Xu Xin felt relieved and continued to watch this battle which had no suspense.

The brown bear was still lying on its side on the prey, exposing its belly to the wolf king and blinking at him. It looked completely fearless, and with the bear's unique harmless smiling expression and furry face, it was actually quite cute.

"Predators really like to play with their prey and beings weaker than themselves."

The wolf king knew that he was no match for the brown bear, so he began to circle around the bear, pulling and looking for the bear's weakness, hoping to launch a fatal attack.

Finding the right moment, the wolf king suddenly jumped up and launched a powerful attack on the brown bear!

Just as the wolf king launched the attack, the brown bear suddenly stood on its two feet and slapped the wolf king on the neck!

A scream was heard, and the wolf king was slapped out and fell to the ground not far away. He kept struggling, and several scratches under his neck kept oozing blood.

"Sure enough. Alas, why bother? Why not continue hunting other prey?" Xu Xin shook his head as he watched the wolf king struggling and howling on the ground.

The wolves in the distance who were afraid to approach did not rush forward because of the wolf king's injury. Instead, they retreated more timidly.

The brown bear ignored the seriously injured wolf king and began to concentrate on enjoying the delicious food.

Xu Xin looked at the fallen wolf king.

This was the strongest wolf in the pack, its silver-gray fur covered in blood, and it fell to the ground, struggling constantly.

It finally struggled to get up, but instead of moving forward, it moved away from the brown bear and fell under a poplar tree.

The wolves in the distance really didn't care about the injured and unable to move wolf king, and all turned around and ran away.

The wolf king's body was shaking uncontrollably due to his injuries. Abandoned by the wolf pack, he might just die here.

It heard footsteps and looked up with its last bit of strength.

I saw a person standing in front of it, looking at it with a smile.

"Want to live? Then sign a contract with me."

PS: The content of this chapter is inspired by a documentary I watched a long time ago. It is a documentary about wolves. It records the process of a pregnant female wolf leaving the wolf pack after the death of the wolf king and raising her child alone. At the beginning of the chapter, the wolf king was slapped to death by a brown bear in front of the wolves. The brown bear actually rolled on the prey and played with the wolf pack directly. It was simply invincible =_=
