Chapter 5 Shelf

Oh my goodness. Never mind, I won't complain for now.

I grabbed two steamed buns and put them in the bowl, then went out to finish the dishes. I was really hungry.

So, the original owner had a small appetite, and I didn’t have a big appetite either. Did I end up with two stomachs after traveling through time?

The steamed buns were left over from a few days ago and are now warming up in the pot. We often prepare some steamed buns or cakes at home.

In order to prevent Song Jinxiu from feeling hungry and wanting to eat, Aunt Yang would take the leftovers home every once in a while.

This is also the best thing about being in the kitchen.

The leftovers in the landlord's house do not refer to leftovers, but leftovers.

Even if it was really leftovers, the servants wouldn't mind, as it was all fine grains and meat. Even without meat, there was still plenty of oil and water.

"Aunt Yang is quite practical. She knows that leftovers can be taken away, but she still prepares every meal in moderation and never deliberately makes too much." Song Jinxiu sighed.

It seems I need to find an excuse to ask Aunt Yang to cook more rice!

Pat your full belly. Life is wonderful! Clothes come to you, food comes to you!

If the timing wasn't wrong, why would I have to flee!

This damn time travel. That's not right, if I hadn't time traveled, I would still be a social animal.

So, I am destined to have a life of hard work.

What a sad story.

After eating and drinking her fill, Song Jinxiu prepared to go out for a walk. This was also where she usually took a walk after dinner.

Song Jinxiu looked at the golden wheat fields around her. The breeze blew, and the golden waves rolled.

The heavy ears of wheat bent the wheat stalks, and it seemed as if I could see the vats of wheat, the steaming white steamed buns, and the noodle soup with oil floating on it.

Slurp your saliva. Whether you will be hungry in the future depends on how you behave during this period of time.

The farmhands in the family were scattered in the fields, seemingly bending over to pull weeds, and occasionally chatting with each other.

"Aunt Yang." Song Jinxiu shouted when she saw Aunt Yang coming out.

"Miss, what's the matter?" Aunt Yang walked over quickly.

"Aunt Yang, do you know who is good at carpentry?" Song Jinxiu asked!

Her space is just empty space and should be arranged reasonably, such as by putting up rows of shelves.

Arrange things by categories so that it will be convenient to take things later.

"What does Miss want to make? If you want something exquisite, there is a carpenter named Wang in the village. If it's just something simple, Erzhuang can make it." Aunt Yang said.

"I just want some shelves. They don't need to look good, just be sturdy." Song Jinxiu gestured roughly.

"That's easy. I'll call Erzhuang over and tell him directly how big the size is. Or you tell me and I'll go tell him?" Aunt Yang asked.

"Aunt Yang, you can just go and talk to her later, it's just Mu Mu's words!" Song Jinxiu thought for a while!

"The master dried some wood before, why don't we use that?" asked Aunt Yang.

The master said he wanted to make a few dowry boxes for the young lady, so he dried a lot of wood.

The master said that everything the young lady uses must be of the best quality.

"Okay, first build a frame that is four feet wide, six feet long, and nine feet high.

It should have two layers, a middle layer and an upper layer, and it should be able to hold wooden boards." Song Jinxiu looked at Aunt Yang a little confused.

"Forget it, call Erzhuang over later and I'll talk to him myself!"

"Okay, miss, it's Aunt Yang who is too stupid." Aunt Yang said embarrassedly.

"No, I'm a little confused myself. Erzhuang is a professional and should be able to understand." Song Jinxiu felt that she had confused herself as well.

The main difference is the units. Now it’s not measured in meters. Also, the wood cannot be too long. If it’s stainless steel, it can be longer!

Their house is built in the middle of the farmland, but it is still several hundred meters away from the farmland, so they won’t disturb others when they are working.

Looking around, everything is golden. It is such a joyful scene and a scene of harvest!

The road on the left is the exit. At the end of the road, turn right to go to the village, and turn left to exit the village. It is very convenient to travel.

The family also has a cow and a donkey.

Originally, there were two cows. Since the villagers came to borrow them during the busy farming season, he simply lent one to the villagers to raise, and the village chief took care of it.

"Why does the young lady keep looking at us today?" one farmhand said to another.

"Who knows? She was out for a much longer time today. Usually she just walks around and goes back." Another person answered.

"Yes, yes, my waist is sore. Let's go! Oh, I can finally straighten my waist!"

Then a large group of farmhands were there hammering their waists.

Of course, this does not mean that the farmhands disrespected Song Jinxiu.

When Song Jinxiu first came out for a walk, the farmhands greeted her enthusiastically.

Then Song Jinxiu was so scared that she hid in the house and didn't dare to go out for three days.

Old man Song had no choice but to tell the farmhand that he didn’t need to greet the young lady when she came out in the future.

Just focus on your work and pretend you don't see anything. So this is what happened next.

"Do you think the young lady is a little different? She used to be silly, but now she seems to be more energetic."

"Without the master protecting me from the front, I will definitely have to..." There is no need to say the rest of the words, everyone understands.

"Alright, alright, no matter what happens, I'm still a young lady, it's none of your business to worry about me."

"That's true."

So everyone went back to work.

Life is the easiest during the period before harvest.

Everyone was weeding in the fields, catching insects and chatting.

Song Jinxiu took a walk and went home.

After a while, Aunt Yang came in with a dark and strong man.

The man followed behind Aunt Yang with his head lowered.

"Miss, this is my second son, Erzhuang. He doesn't have any special advantages, he's just a little dexterous. Just tell him if you have any requests." Aunt Yang introduced.

"Hello, Miss." Er Zhuang lowered his head and said hello!

"Hello." Then Song Jinxiu repeated her request.

"Okay, how many does Miss want?" Er Zhuang replied with his head down.

"Do you really understand? Do you want me to draw it and show it to you?" Song Jinxiu asked uncertainly.

Because the two strong men kept their heads down the whole time, just listening. It made it impossible for me to even gesture!

"I, I used to help people build shelves, and it's very similar to what you described, but others didn't want it that high." Er Zhuang said.

"Okay, then you go down and get busy! Don't use the wooden boards for now, set up the shelf first and let me see!" Song Jinxiu said!

"Okay, then I'll leave first!" Er Zhuang said and walked out.

"Miss, I'll go downstairs first and come back to cook later." Aunt Yang said and left.

Song Jinxiu thought of another problem, which is the load-bearing capacity!

She had a bold guess.

Song Jinxiu went to the firewood pile and picked up eight wooden sticks as thick as fingers, and then tied them together with scraps of cloth to form a simple small rack!

When placed on the ground, it is only about knee-high, and it still feels a little shaky when touched.

Song Jinxiu clapped her hands. Perfect!

Then put it in the space!

Then, look around! What should you choose?

Let’s go, it’s you! Song Jinxiu trotted over and picked up the thing she liked!
