Chapter 53 Sweet Pear

Xiao Niu put the things in the yard and left. Song Jinxiu washed a pear and started eating it.

"Hiss, it's so sour." Song Jinxiu's face wrinkled into a ball.

Then he quickly cut off the half she had bitten and divided it into two halves.

"We are so lucky. This pear is so sweet. I've washed it and I'll give you half." Song Jinxiu handed the intact half of the pear to Liu Ankang.

He even took a bite and made an expression as if he was enjoying the food.

Liu Ankang glanced at Li Zi, then looked at Song Jinxiu with disgust.

He ran over, found one in the backpack, washed it and ate it.

Song Jinxiu looked at him curiously, and seeing that he didn't seem to be faking it, she quickly spat out the pear in her mouth.

"Why isn't yours sour?" Song Jinxiu asked curiously.

Then Liu Ankang picked another one and handed it to her.

Song Jinxiu washed it out of curiosity and took a bite. It was really sweet.

"How amazing! Is there any difference between these two?" Song Jinxiu compared them carefully.

The sweet one is yellower and different in size. The sweet one is smaller, after all, I just picked the big one.

Besides, no two places are the same anyway.

But no two backpacks are alike, so how do you tell them apart?

Song Jinxiu was very confused, but it was obvious that no one could answer her questions.

"Then pick out the sweet ones and keep them as fruit. As for the sour ones, I'll think about what to do with them." Song Jinxiu patted Liu Ankang's head and said.

I had steamed sausage rice for lunch.

Liu Ankang had already picked out the pears, and Song Jinxiu carefully compared them. They were all different sizes and colors.

Anyway, I can’t see anything, so forget it. It’s not a skill I can learn for the time being.

Put the sweet pears away and save them as after-meal fruit. Most of the fruits I bought last time have been eaten.

There were still more than half of the sour pears. Song Jinxiu planned to put some in the cellar and keep some in her own space.

Keep it and slowly cook it into sweet soup. Tremella and pear, rock sugar and pear are both good choices.

Don't be afraid of sourness, just add a little more sugar. Otherwise, sour and sweet are also delicious.

And the remaining dry leaves were soaked by Song Jinxiu.

Fresh Yugan does not last long, while soaked Yugan is sweet but not sour and can be stored for a longer time, but it requires a bit more salt.

I made kway teow soup in the evening. Kway teow is also a specialty here. It is a bit similar to rice noodles, but thinner than rice noodles.

The soup base is made from big bones, and Song Jinxiu added meat slices and meatballs to it!

Including the soup and the toppings, they both ate three big bowls of it that night, and gave the remaining portion to Xiao Gouzi.

The big dog is responsible for chewing the bone, and the small dog can't chew it.

After the meal, Song Jinxiu brought out a bowl of rock sugar and snow pears to calm her nerves. Although they were just vines, the fright she received was real.

I hope I won’t have nightmares today.

After finishing their delicious meal, they both washed up.

I have finished one coat, except that one sleeve is too long and the other is too short, and the hem is a little uneven. Everything else is good.

It is also loose when worn, but it is meant to be worn over a cotton-padded jacket, so it should be a bit larger.

The sleeves are not much different, and you can't tell the difference without careful comparison.

Now Song Jinxiu is trying hard to wear autumn clothes. The weather is getting cooler and she can change into long sleeves at any time.

I forgot to pick up two sets of clothes from the tailor shop, otherwise I could have been slacking off now with a good reason.

Alas, Song Jinxiu sighed again, what a stupid brain she had.

That night, Song Jinxiu had another nightmare, but this time the roles were reversed. She saw a snake and chopped it without a word.

But there was a constant stream of snakes popping up, so Song Jinxiu chopped snakes all night long.

The next morning, Song Jinxiu sighed. Was it really true that what you think about during the day you dream about at night? She wasn't that cruel.

Fortunately, I woke up today feeling fine, except a little tired. Compared to the past few days, I am in pretty good shape.

As usual, she made a cup of milk for Liu Ankang, put it on the table, and went to cook porridge.

She feels that her daily routine is becoming healthier.

Not to mention 10 o'clock in the evening, I basically go to bed before 9 o'clock and get up at 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning.

After the porridge was cooked, I realized something was wrong. Why was there still milk?

"Why don't you drink?" Song Jinxiu asked.

Liu Ankang hung his head and said nothing.

"What's wrong? Are you tired of drinking?" Song Jinxiu found it very strange. She had never seen him with such an expression before.

Liu Ankang shook his head. He picked up the milk with his hands, but oh, he didn’t pick it up!

"What's wrong with your hand?" Song Jinxiu noticed that something was wrong with him.

Liu Ankang stared at her sadly.

Song Jinxiu thought of the pile of firewood in her space and felt a little guilty, wondering if she had over-exploited the child laborers.

"Let me massage it for you." Song Jinxiu stepped forward to massage him.

"Hiss!" Liu Ankang hurriedly stepped back. It was too painful.

"Is there a doctor in the village? A physician? Someone who treats illnesses?" Song Jinxiu asked. She didn't know what to call him here.

Liu Ankang nodded.

"Then let's eat first. After that, I'll take you to see something." Song Jinxiu touched the cup and found that the milk was a little cold.

Add some hot water and help him drink it.

It’s still a bit early now, and I don’t know if the doctor is awake yet, so I thought I’d eat first before going.

Song served the porridge and brought it to the table, putting a spoon in the bowl.

"Try to use the spoon and see if it works?" Song Jinxiu stared at him and asked.

Then I saw him scoop up a spoonful of porridge and put it into his mouth.

The hand holding the spoon was shaking, and it took a while for him to get the porridge into his mouth.
