Chapter 132 Saving the Fairy Tale (25) The Royal Ball

The pumpkin carriage drove to the palace, bypassing all the guards.

Cindy lifted her wide skirt and looked at the splendor inside, her heart trembling with a strong longing.

She was also her father's daughter, and she was even more beautiful than her stepsister.

Why should she be a servant, covered in dirt and grime all day long?

She lifted her skirt, wore crystal shoes, and climbed the steps one by one.

Melodious music filled the banquet hall, and the magnificent crystal chandeliers cast a soft glow. The gentle music permeated the entire restaurant, spreading like an invisible mist.

The young masters and ladies of various princes and nobles strolled and danced in the hall.

The handsome prince stood above, seemingly uninterested in the group of beautiful girls who had invited him.

As soon as Cindy entered the room, she attracted everyone's attention.

She was beautiful to begin with, but her brilliance was usually obscured by dust.

Now, dressed in her finest attire, she is radiant and dazzling, as beautiful as a fairy.

Even her stepsister, stepmother, and father couldn't recognize her.

Under the watchful eyes of countless people, Su Deng tried her best to turn around and leave, but she couldn't turn around at all.

Cindy seemed to enjoy the attention; for the first time, she walked into such a magnificent hall with her head held high.

The moment the prince's gaze fell upon her, he couldn't look away.

He came over and invited her to dance.

Su Deng numbly reached out her hand, a shy expression on her face, and slowly danced with the prince as the music started again.

The young ladies all cast envious glances at her, and some even secretly tripped her up.

But she stumbled and fell into the prince's arms.

The two stood closer together.

The prince gazed at him with tender affection.

She lowered her eyes shyly.

As the clock struck midnight, Cindy was jolted awake from her reverie. Ignoring the prince's pursuit, she lifted her skirt, slipped on her glass slippers, and ran frantically outside.

Such a large palace, with guards everywhere, yet people were allowed to run around freely in the middle of the night, even escaping the palace.

That's pretty impressive.

Just as they ran out of the palace, the midnight bells rang.

Her gorgeous clothes and crystal shoes had all vanished without a trace.

Realizing she could control her body, Su Deng, dressed in a plain dress, barefoot, and with disheveled hair, found a rock by the roadside and sat down, wanting to curse a thousand times.

But she couldn't bring herself to curse.

After finishing the story of Snow White, we're now on the story of Cinderella.

At that moment, she wondered if she would have to experience all the fairy tales.

From the moment she truly transformed into Snow White, she knew this was an illusion.

The so-called evil gods suppressed in the mirror world may also be illusions created by demons, layer upon layer, with no idea which layer it is or where the exit is.

The evil spirit that had made a pact with her remained silent, as if dead.

More importantly, the system panel cannot be opened in this illusion.

The sudden fork in the road was of no use.

Su Deng rested her chin on her hand and exhaled a deep breath.

After sitting for a while, she got up.

She needed to get home before her stepmother and her family returned.

A magnificent palace, exquisite jewelry and clothing, dancing with the prince, and the admiring gazes of the crowd…

That feeling was so wonderful that Cindy could never forget it.

The following evening, she went to see the little bird and the fairy godmother again, changed into an even more gorgeous and beautiful outfit, and rode in an exquisite pumpkin carriage to the palace to attend a banquet.

Everything is the same as last night.

As midnight approached, she tried to escape, but the prince held her tightly.

The prince asked, "What is your name, and where do you live?"

Su Deng sensed that Cindy La wanted to say that she didn't want to leave either.

But it seemed as if an invisible force was imprisoning everything.

Cindira could only struggle free and run away quickly, lifting her skirt.

She returned to her mother's grave and began to wail again.

"Mother, I like princes."

She said.

A bird flew down from the tree.

"My dear girl, why are you sad today?"

She said, "I like princes, but I'm not good enough for them."

Her father was a wealthy man with a noble title, so her status was not low.

She was her father's biological daughter; she should have been the real young lady.

However, she was bullied by her stepmother and stepsister and ended up as a maid in the house.

"Why?"

A voice sounded in her ear, and Cindy's reddened eyes gradually filled with resentment, unwillingness, and anger.

The third day of the banquet.

After her stepmother and stepsisters left, Cindra went to her mother's grave.

Under the silvery glow of the moon, the fairy godmother stood mysteriously elegant in a gown, holding a magic wand in her hand to draw in the moonlight and weave a long dress for her like a flowing river of stars.

The crystal shoes, sparkling with silver diamonds, had heels that were a full ten centimeters high.

Six little mice were transformed into handsome white horses, pulling an upgraded pumpkin carriage, and everything shimmered in the moonlight.

The fairy godmother placed a kiss on her forehead and said with loving satisfaction, "Go, kind and beautiful girl."

Cindy got into the carriage, and the birds in the trees became the coachmen.

The palace was as lively as ever, even more so than the previous two days.

Because tonight is the last night of the banquet, the prince will choose one of the young women here to be his queen.

All the young women had put in a lot of effort to dress up today, but thankfully, Derryala's arrival concealed all of that.

The prince's gaze was fixed on her, and he couldn't take it off.

"You still haven't told me your name."

"I……"

Su Deng wanted to speak, but when she opened her mouth, she couldn't say anything. Cindy La also couldn't speak, as she was blocked by an invisible barrier.
