Su Deng acted as if she hadn't heard him, and only winked at him and Acha, saying, "You two wait for me over there for a while."
Qin Xian opened his mouth to stop her, but seeing that she was determined to leave, he didn't know what to say and followed Acha to the side.
After the system handover, in the new tournament system that was launched, all god-level materials were unusable, but skills could be used.
He stood to one side, watching the pack of wolves, and silently took out his arrow and held it in his hand, just in case.
Su Deng's action, whether seen by humans or wolves, was tantamount to suicide—challenging the wolf king.
The other wolves retreated to one side, surrounding the area and creating a battlefield.
The wolf king stood up, swaying his soft, silvery-white fur, which looked somewhat cold in the approaching night.
Towering and majestic, its imposing presence is awe-inspiring.
Qin Xian, Acha, and Su Deng all looked like dwarfs surrounded by these wolves.
Qin Xian is 1.78 meters tall. It was one thing for him to be overshadowed by other men in the past, but now he's being overshadowed by a pack of wolves?
He was a little jealous. "Is the food in this forest really that good...?"
Acha ignored him, hovering in the air as if floating, looking at Su Deng, and licking the fur on her front legs intermittently.
"roar--"
The wolf king roared, which stirred up a huge gust of wind.
Su Deng was blown back a few steps, her long black hair disheveled.
“Human,” the wolf king looked down at her, “are you ready?”
Su Deng tightened her grip on the sword hilt, remaining fearless. "Come on."
The wolf king circled her for a few steps, then without any warning, suddenly pounced, its huge claws descending like a dark cloud.
Su Deng quickly dodged and swung her sword back to strike.
The sword blade clashed with the wolf king's claws, sparks flying.
Su Deng was struck so hard that his feet slid backward a considerable distance.
"The difference in strength is too great..." Qin Xian said nervously, "Who can possibly win this..."
Acha squinted her eyes and said, "You should believe her, meow."
If this wolf king can grow to such a large size, and it's a wolf from a fairy tale, then it absolutely cannot be measured by ordinary standards.
His claws were like sharp swords, each one sharper than the last.
Forcing it won't work.
Everything has its weaknesses.
He must have it too.
Su Deng narrowed her eyes, using all her strength to dodge and block his attacks while concentrating on searching for his weaknesses.
As the wolf king pounced for the tenth time, Su Deng slid down, and the sharp blade struck the wolf king's leg.
The hair in some areas was blood red.
The wolf king roared and launched an even fiercer attack.
Su Deng wasn't strong enough, but she was incredibly fast. She struggled to keep up with the wolf king's speed and continued attacking its legs.
"Aww—"
Fortunately, the wolf had no magic and could only charge and pounce to bite, but it won because of its strong and huge body and speed.
Su Deng was expending energy rapidly, while the Wolf King seemed tireless.
Another claw came, and Su Deng was sent flying by the wolf king. His clothes were torn to shreds, and there were several bloody marks on his arm.
The gusts of wind generated by the wolf king when it runs can knock a person off their feet, let alone being knocked down by its claws.
Su Deng felt a dull pain in her chest and coughed up a large mouthful of blood.
"Humans." The wolf king stopped a few meters away, his voice booming like thunder, "It's not too late to admit defeat now."
Su Deng did not back down. She stood up, leaning on her sword, and her offensive counterattack spoke volumes.
“Su Deng…”
We simply can't beat them.
Qin Xian gritted his teeth, gripping the arrow in his hand, ready to throw it, but then he saw Su Deng lean back, her back touching the ground, and slide down the wolf king's belly as the wolf king pounced again.
The tip of her sword was pointing upwards.
The wolf was too fast; there was no time to retreat or dodge, and the tip of the sword left a bloody gash on its belly.
The wolf king staggered back in pain, its body swaying outwards a few times. Blood beads stained its fur below its belly and dripped down to the ground.
"Wolf King!"
The surrounding wolves were startled and all tried to rush over.
"I'm fine." The wolf king stopped the other wolves from coming forward, stood firmly on its two front legs, and looked at Su Deng, who was lying half on the ground, with its deep green eyes.
Although it was injured, Su Deng was severely injured both inside and out by its claws and no longer had much strength. If it went over and swiped at Su Deng again, Su Deng would die.
But the wolf king didn't move.
The wolf king asked her, "What do you want to talk to me about on behalf of humanity?"
That was just something Su Deng said offhand, but judging from the scene of them scolding Little Red Riding Hood just now, these wolves have a great hatred for humans, and there is a reason why Little Red Riding Hood turned into a wolf.
Su Deng's mind raced, "And your hatred."
"Humans have no right to say this."
"Wolf King! Let's tear her apart!"
"Humans are vile and filthy, Wolf King, you can't listen to them..."
The wolves came out again, constantly trying to persuade and stop the wolf king, each of them looking at Su Deng with extremely fierce eyes.
The wolf king turned his head and gave them a look that intimidated them.
The wolf seemed unwilling, but fearing the wolf king, it dared not speak again.
The wolf king looked at Su Deng and said, "Humans and wolves are two different species. The hatred was already formed from the very beginning of the hunt."
Su Deng paused slightly, "Why do humans hunt you?"
"Human greed."
This forest belongs to the wolf pack, who live here in packs and never venture into the human world to interact with humans.
The wolf king said, "We don't eat humans either."
They are a noble wolf clan, not the kind of wolf that eats anything without being picky.
