In just a short time, the mountain of steles that Yan Sizhan had destroyed all grew back without leaving any trace.
Yan Sizhan frowned. "I'll blast another road out."
He did whatever he said, twirling his spear in a circle, and the flame patterns on the spear seemed to come alive, burning brightly, the dark green color almost blending into his hair.
Beneath the towering green flames, the temperature emitted was surprisingly cold.
The scorching heat suddenly cooled down, freezing the ground and frost in the air.
Just moments ago he was drenched in sweat, but now Qin Xian hugged his arms and shivered, "...It's so cold."
Yan Sizhan, wielding a green-flaming spear, charged through the mountain of steles in front of him.
"It's open! Let's go!"
Although it was a bit violent, it was much faster than them slowly deciphering it.
It saves a lot of effort.
Qin Xian immediately perked up and excitedly ran forward.
But just as he was about to cross it, it was as if he had hit an invisible wall, and Qin Xian was sent flying back.
Liu Sangua flashed behind him and caught him with one hand on his back, preventing him from falling heavily to the ground.
Qin Xian frowned. "What's going on? I'll try again."
“There’s no need to try,” Liu Sangua said. “If nothing unexpected happens, we won’t be able to get through this path that the executive officer blasted open.”
Even though Yan Sizhan is no longer the executor of the Divine Court, they dare not call him by his name to his face. Since they have no other title to call him, they can only still call him executor.
Qin Xian refused to believe it and tried again, with the same result.
After this incident, the shattered stone tablet was restored as if time had reversed.
It has been restored to its original state.
Su Deng looked at Yan Sizhan, "Can you blast it again?"
Without a word, Yan Sizhan channeled his power into his silver spear.
After blasting open the passage again, Su Deng walked over quickly, first reaching out to probe the air and touching an invisible, transparent wall.
Qiao Zhi frowned. "Why?"
"That's not right!" Qin Xian patted Su Muye's head. "Then why were he and the executive officer able to pass?"
Su Deng looked at Yan Sizhan, "Because they are not game players."
“They’re not game players, nor are they NPCs, so the game rules don’t apply to them,” Liu Sangua said thoughtfully. “Even if they clear a path, players bound by the rules can’t walk through it…”
Qin Xian was speechless. "Then we could have just forced our way through before, right?"
“I guess…” Liu Sangua’s gaze fell on Su Deng through the curtain, “This is to prevent players from violently clearing the game.”
"..." Su Deng glanced at him sideways, "Why don't you just give me my name directly?"
She had used brute force to complete almost every level.
When violence reached the point of a serial killer, the system immediately changed the game rules.
Now it's happening again.
This damned Divine Court is targeting us like this; they're incredibly petty.
“Then let’s untie it slowly.” Liu Sangua chuckled softly, then glanced meaningfully at Yan Sizhan, who stood coldly to the other side. “At least… it won’t be so hot…”
Yan Sizhan was like a sculpture made of millennia-old ice, his body temperature and aura were so cold they were freezing.
A person who uses fire as a skill, yet fire is cold and sinister.
That bone-chilling cold seemed to emanate from the deepest depths of hell.
He stood there, and no matter how scorching the sun was in the sky, they could hardly feel any heat, only cold.
"...That is indeed quite comfortable," Qin Xian muttered softly.
Using the Divine Court's executors as a cooling-off tool, they're probably the first in the entire game to dare to do that, right?
Qiao Zhi felt a little guilty.
Su Muyue tugged at Su Deng, "Mom, I'm going with you!"
Su Deng nodded.
They had no choice but to patiently continue their journey, and the group rested for a while before setting off again.
Yan Sizhan didn't leave either, following them like a portable air conditioner.
In this Valley of Death Monuments, they could only proceed step by step, unsure whether the path ahead was the right one or a deadly danger—it was like opening a blind box.
However, with Liu Sangua and Yan Sizhan around, they wouldn't be in danger.
After an unknown amount of time, Qin Xian was exhausted and lay down on the ground to rest once again. When Qiao Zhi unraveled the next section of the stele mountain with its patterns, countless feathered arrows flew out from within.
This time, it was more dangerous than ever before. An overwhelming killing intent swept in, leaving no place to hide.
Just as Liu Sangua was about to make his move, Yan Sizhan, spear in hand, leaped forward to shield them behind him, sweeping away all the arrows.
"Get out here!"
Qin Xian, holding Su Muye, hid at the back, while Liu Sangua blocked their way. Just as Liu Sangua was about to say something, Yan Sizhan stared into the void ahead and shouted sharply.
The air twisted, and a slender, tall figure appeared out of thin air.
Her long golden hair contrasted sharply with her snow-white skin, and her aura was chilling. She stood high above like a goddess, looking down at the crowd below.
Qiao Zhiwei was taken aback. "This...is also a dangerous situation?"
"Obviously, no." Liu Sangua protected the group as they retreated.
He sensed the same aura emanating from this woman as he did from Yan Sizhan.
It possesses an aura unique to the Divine Court.
"Huang Qing, the Sixth Executor of the Divine Court, has come to kill the game heretics and arrest Yan Sizhan, the Eighth Executor of the Divine Court!"
Huang Qing held a heavy bow, floating in the air, his clothes fluttering in the wind.
His voice was ethereal and clear, echoing endlessly in the Valley of Death Monuments.
"I'll kill you! Hide here and don't move!" Qin Xian quickly hid Su Muye behind him, protecting him tightly.
A cold glint flashed in Su Deng's eyes, and the Ling Shuang Sword appeared in his hand.
Holding his spear, Yan Sizhan's aura suddenly intensified, becoming suffocatingly cold and terrifying. He uttered a single word from his thin lips, "Get lost!"
