...As expected, someone got hurt again.
...Even in the apocalypse, how could she still hurt people by giving up her own life?
...He's still a child.
The other person was wearing a uniform-like outfit with blue and white stripes, and was lying motionless on the ground, as if he had been hit by the air cushion.
Su Deng paused for a moment, brushed aside the hair that had been sticking out of her forehead from the electric shock, rubbed her body, walked over, lightly kicked the child's leg with her toe, and said in a deep voice, "Hey?"
"Hmm—"
The child on the ground made a sound, propped himself up on his arms and sat down, rubbing his aching head and body. His delicate, porcelain-doll-like face was scrunched up in pain. "It hurts so much!"
The child looked to be about six or seven years old, with light gold pupils and striking, well-defined features that made him look like a mixed-race person from an exotic region.
She's very pretty!
However, she wasn't as pretty as she was when she was a child.
Su Deng has always been aware of her good looks, but she also hates her beautiful face the most because it has brought her a lot of trouble during her many years as an orphan.
But this was something she was born with, and Su Deng couldn't bear to destroy it. She also wanted to see if she could find her biological parents one day with this face. In the years that followed, she kept a low profile while studying.
Seeing that the child in front of her was alright, Su Deng breathed a sigh of relief and poked the child's head with a finger. "Hey, are you alright?"
"Who said I'm alright?" The child suddenly turned around as if noticing someone, his little face full of anger. "Was it you who smashed this just now...?"
He paused, taken aback, when he saw Su Deng's stunningly beautiful face.
Her already large, grape-like, light golden eyes widened even more, instantly becoming misty with moisture. She suddenly scrambled up from the ground, threw herself into her arms, and burst into loud sobs.
"Mom! Mom! I've finally found you!"
Su Deng stiffened as she was hugged around the waist. She hated children, and even more so, she hated being touched by others. She frowned, grabbed the child's collar, and tried to pull him away. "Let go of me! I'm not your mother! You've mistaken me for someone else!"
Her collar was almost torn, but the child clung to her tightly, insisting, "I won't mistake you! You are my mother!"
Su Deng frowned even more, and tried to pry his hands off her, trying to separate him from her. "I'm really not your mother!"
The child was incredibly strong. It took Su Deng a tremendous amount of effort to remove him from her body. Su Deng's back leg and clothes were covered in large tear stains.
She was a little annoyed. "It was my fault for hitting you, I apologize, but I'm really not your mother, so don't call me that again and don't touch me!"
The child's eyes were red as he stared intently at her face. "Your name is Su Deng."
