Time's up, sort the twenty teams that have occupied the strongholds.
The [Godslayer] squad won first place with fifty-two flags.
It was originally owned by Red Orioles and the others.
The flags they found were sold.
We're acquaintances, you could say.
Zi Xiang.
And three more members were temporarily added to their team.
There are seven people in total.
It was Zi Xiang who brought them over.
To win in this world, there's an absolute limit to the number of players; only twenty teams can win, and each team has a maximum of seven players. To survive, those who can't capture a stronghold start begging and pleading for a spot to join another team and stay alive.
With half an hour left in the countdown, Zi Xiang found them and offered two thousand shopping points and three god-level materials in exchange for three spots in their team, all they needed to do was pass this one level.
Su Deng agreed and sold the flags to Zi Xiang.
At this point, all twenty teams consisted of seven people.
The last team had only one flag.
Zi Xiang's team is ranked eighth.
The team that plays Red Orioles is called [Red Orioles], and they are ranked 13th.
10 flags.
Looks like I managed to snag one.
"That Su Deng, didn't you say you were going to kill her? How come you ended up killing her and running away?"
"Red Oriole, we're not buying your act. Don't stand there..."
"If you don't want to stay here, get out!"
That first place was clearly theirs, but they desperately searched for the flag and ended up giving Su Deng the advantage.
He Shouteng and Zhang Qiang were both unwilling to accept this, and they questioned Hongying through gritted teeth.
Zhou Ya stopped them.
Hongying merely raised an eyebrow slightly, "I can't kill Su Deng right now, but killing you all is still a piece of cake."
He Shouteng and Chen Qiang turned pale, gritting their teeth and swallowing their anger.
After the door appeared, Su Deng took one last look at this familiar world.
She was born into this world, and she has experienced much warmth from it, as well as countless acts of malice.
Those who showed her kindness all faced various forms of death in their efforts to save her.
Those who harbor malice, however, are still living carefree lives.
Is it true that kind people don't get good rewards, while bad people always get a good end?
Those things are forcing people to become evil.
The rules in this game world are exactly the same.
Yet there are still people who remain kind and selflessly sacrifice their lives to save others.
She was an orphan and had no sense of belonging in this world.
But when she was born into this world alone, some people took her in, some raised her, and some risked their lives to save her...
"Headmistress, Huahua..."
One after another, figures who died saving her flashed before her eyes.
They were all smiling; no one complained about her or blamed her.
...Perhaps it's strange or resentful.
But they're dead, so even if they have grievances, there's no way to express them.
Su Deng suddenly realized that from the moment she was born, she was like someone in a game, being manipulated by others.
All those who showed her kindness met their demise.
This made her afraid to accept anyone's kindness, afraid to make friends, and even afraid of death.
Looking back now, everything was pushing her down the path of evil and isolation.
Where did she come from? Who is she? And what about the jade pendant she was born with...?
It's okay, she'll figure it all out in this game world.
"If I could... I would bring all of you back to life..."
As 404 once said, if you collect all the god-level materials, you can make any wish.
Including resurrecting people.
Seeing her standing there staring blankly at the world, muttering something to herself, Qin Xian tugged at her, "What are you saying?"
"It's nothing." Su Deng snapped out of her reverie, took a deep breath, and said, "Let's go."
The next world I stepped into was so blurry that I couldn't make out its true nature.
The vibration, which seemed to come from nowhere, started again, and the background of the entire world—whether it was trees, houses, or water—turned into mosaic-like blocks.
Even the NPCs' upper and lower bodies are misaligned and blurry, making them difficult to see.
In this situation, it's impossible to pass the level.
"What exactly is going on?"
"Are they trying to mess with us?"
"To die in a world like this, that would be truly humiliating..."
The remaining hundred or so players were stuck in this pixelated world, lamenting and filled with resentment.
[System Announcement: There is a temporary issue with the New Star Leap Challenge world. It is currently being urgently fixed. Please be patient while the world is in progress.]
"Do you think this is really caused by that evil god?"
"What is this evil god? Where did it come from?"
In a corner, Qin Xian and a few others huddled together, discussing quietly.
Zi Xiang came over from the other side, twirling a purple pipe that looked like bamboo joints in her hand. Two furry ears on her head were twitching, and no one knew whether they were real or just ornaments.
She walked over to Liu Sangua and whispered, "Things are about to get messy."
Liu Sangua crossed his arms and leaned against a floating mosaic block. "I know."
Zi Xiang glanced at Su Deng, "You two seem to get along very well."
Liu Sangua remained silent for a moment, then said, "Tell me, why should I seek out the Chosen One?"
Zi Xiang paused slightly, "To break free from control and save the world?"
Liu Sangua: "But why should I save this world?"
“This…” Zi Xiang choked, suddenly unable to answer.
She's known Liu Sangua for a long time. As for Liu Sangua...
