The students were all having evening self-study sessions. Su Deng, eating a pancake she bought in the cafeteria, stood out conspicuously downstairs in the second teaching building.

But given the state of the toilet, it probably isn't fake.

Su Deng looked at him, gave a meaningful laugh, looked up at the sky, and said leisurely, "It's getting dark."
“So we have to hurry.” The boy nodded, starting to hammer away at the bricks blocking the toilet door. “If the school catches us, we’ll not only get a lecture and be expelled, but what if we really encounter a ghost…”
"What's your name?" His words were suddenly interrupted.
The boy paused for a moment with the hammer in his hand. "My name is Jia He, a poor student in Class 10 of Senior Three. I've wanted to come here for a long time. I didn't expect that someone as good at studying as you, who doesn't care about anything else, would be interested in such supernatural events."
Su Deng's gaze fell on his feet, and she watched him smash things indifferently. "Even good students can be curious."
The boy smiled, said nothing, and continued banging on the wall.
