Chapter 271 Witch God Festival (8) Monster Su Muye

Su Deng found it amusing and even gave a smaller one to Acha to wear.

Acha meowed and kicked the mask off with her paws, showing some resistance.

Su Deng lightly tapped its head. "You're quite picky."

Riki Ninomiya didn't hesitate, putting on the somewhat eerie white fox mask and turning her head gently to Su Deng, saying, "You can put Acha down and let it play by itself. It will come back when it's had enough."

Acha: "Meow~"

Su Deng chuckled and placed it on the ground.

Looking at the bustling Sakurajima, Riki pursed her lips, "Maybe... I should just wait for you here."

Su Deng reached out and caught a snowflake, smiling casually. "I wonder if this heavy snow was brought by a monster. A monster wouldn't steal people, would it?"

Riki Cinomiya: "..."

Su Deng: "All the candidates for shrine maiden have come to Sakurajima today. There are too many people and too many eyes. If you're not afraid and really don't want to go, you can wait for us here."

Peach didn't know why she was talking so much to Tsunomiya Riki. After paying for the masks, she was a little anxious. "You two should hurry up and leave. We have to go back soon."

Su Deng's words meant that she knew that the heavy snow was related to that man.

Riki Ninomiya doesn't go out with them. What if she gets kidnapped by that man, or if others see them together? Even with masks, it won't stop people from seeing.

At that point, her reputation and everything else will be over.

Su Deng is not a threat. After all, what Riki Jigami chooses is none of her business. She only needs to become the high priestess and the shrine maiden of Wushan Shrine to complete her mission. With Riki Jigami gone, there is one less opponent for her.

However, she is now quite interested in Riki Jinomiya, and is only giving her some subtle reminders.

Riki Ninomiya, of course, understood what she meant, and her face paled slightly beneath the mask. "I'll go with you!"

She can't see Yukito anymore, otherwise the entire Tsunomiya family will really be finished, just like that runaway shrine maiden!

"Hurry up, you two!" Peach had already run out and was jumping around in the crowd, waving at the two of them.

"They're here!" Su Deng responded, took Tsunomiya Riki's hand, and squeezed through the crowd to catch up with her.

This fireworks display was very similar to the kind of temple fairs she used to visit in the real world, selling all sorts of strange and unusual things.

Since entering the game world, every dungeon has been a constant cycle of killing and being killed, tormented by various plot-related inner demons.

This dungeon seems really easy; there's no danger, no nightmares, just fun and leisure.

The side quest mentioned in 404 is just to watch the fireworks festival, but it doesn't say what you have to do specifically.

Whatever, it's just a game anyway.

Such a realistic and lively scene sometimes makes Su Deng feel like this is the real world, so she simply puts everything else aside and plays happily and unrestrainedly.

As dusk fell, the lights on Sakurajima were bright. Amidst the falling snowflakes, several figures in red and white ran and weaved through the crowd, curious about everything, stopping at almost every stall.

There was also a fortune-telling stall.

Peach wants to have her fortune told to see who will become the Great Witch.

Su Deng stopped her, "If you don't count now, you still have hope. If you do, you'll really be crying."

Peach glared at her, "I don't like what you're saying right now."

Su Deng looked completely innocent. "Did I say something wrong?"

Riki Tsunomiya watched the two bickering and smiled faintly.

"I'm going to buy some food." Peach squeezed into the next stall. "Do you two want some taiyaki?"

Riki Tsugami said, "Either is fine."

Su Deng is the same as above.

The journey from the foot of the mountain to the top was bustling and noisy, and the other shrine maiden candidates were nowhere to be seen.

Su Deng and Ci Gong Li Xi were about to squeeze out to the mountainside to wait for Tao Zi when their eyes fell on a takoyaki stall as they turned the corner.

Takoyaki wasn't anything special, but there was a child standing in front of the stall with two fluffy scarlet ears on his head and a matching tail behind him, holding a celestial fox mask in his hand.

Seeing Su Deng suddenly stop, Tsunomiya Riki followed her gaze, her eyes narrowed, and after a pause, she asked Su Deng, "Do you know that child?"

Su Deng nodded and walked over.

Ninomiya Riki grabbed her arm, pursed her lips, and whispered to Su Deng, "He's a monster..."

At this fireworks display, there were all sorts of people dressed up in various ways, and quite a few even dressed up as children.

After all, the fox is the god of rice for the people here, and the witch god festival is in a couple of days. The children like to dress up as monsters, all to join in the fun and pray for blessings.

This child is not particularly outstanding except for being pretty.

But Riki could sense that he really was a monster!

Su Deng was slightly taken aback.

But whether it's a demon or not, she has to go there.

Because that was Su Muye.

"Little friend, are you alone?"

Just as Su Muyue got the takoyaki and was about to put on the mask and leave, a large shadow fell over his head, and a deliberately sinister voice came from above. A white fox mask came into view.

He was startled and instinctively backed away while still holding the takoyaki. "I came with my family!"

"Really?" Su Deng deliberately lowered her voice, taking advantage of the lamplight that made it difficult for him to see clearly, "Do you know who I am?"

Su Muye shook his head: "I don't know."

Su Deng suppressed a laugh and continued, "I'm a fox spirit from the Wushan Shrine, and now I want the takoyaki in your hand~"

Su Muyue paused, wrinkled his nose, took a few steps back, stared at her exposed mouth and chin for a while, and tentatively asked, "Mom?"
