Chapter 282 The Witch God Sacrifice (19) - Escaped

"The volcano has erupted! Everyone run!"

"They're coming to the village!"

"ah!"

"Fire!!"

In the distance, volcanic lava rolled in, and nearby, a sudden fire broke out in the town, its flames illuminating the sky and causing the townspeople to run around in terror and screams.

The monsters that were just in the village suddenly disappeared.

In the blink of an eye, the town, once a place where only a hundred ghosts roamed at night, has become like this.

Su Deng stood there, watching this scene, completely bewildered.

what happened?

How did it suddenly catch fire and erupt like a volcano?

Even the trees at the entrance of town have fallen down?

Su Deng thought for a long time but couldn't figure it out.

"Hey!" Cui Tai suddenly appeared out of nowhere, found her precisely, and grabbed her, running towards the edge of the village: "Run!"

Su Deng remained motionless: "Why are you running?"

"Disaster has struck!" Cui Tai looked at her in confusion. "Didn't you see the volcano erupting and the town on fire?"

Su Deng: "I saw it, but I haven't found the child yet."

"Oh dear!" said Suita, "He's not here!"

He went inside and looked around, but couldn't find the child.

"You're human, get out of here! Otherwise you'll die!"

Su Deng asked him, "Why did the volcano suddenly erupt?"

"Do you see that tree?" Cui Tai pointed to the fallen tree at the entrance of town and said, "That's a Wood Demon!"

Su Deng was taken aback and quickly opened the Monster Chronicle, which only she could see.

In the legend of a hundred ghosts, the Wood Demon is a tree inhabited by a spirit, which is a monster, and its appearance is similar to that of an ordinary tree.

However, according to legend, if someone damages or knocks down this tree, that person and the entire village will suffer a great disaster.

It seems that the current state of the town really started when that tree fell.

But it wasn't this tree that lit up the page of the monster chronicle about the Wood Demon, but another tree with a human face that could walk.

It's not impossible to knock down such a big tree, but how could it possibly collapse instantly from the roots?

If the volcanic eruption and the town fire were disasters caused by its collapse, wouldn't that be a bit too soon?

Su Deng didn't understand, but with disaster unfolding before her eyes, she still had to go to the village to find Su Muye and Acha!

"Are you crazy!" Seeing her turn to walk back into the village, Cui Tai quickly grabbed her.

Su Deng didn't say anything, broke free from his hand, and ran into the town.

"Su Muye!"

Chaos had broken out. The townspeople were screaming and fleeing in all directions. The monster was nowhere to be seen. Su Deng couldn't care less about anything else. She ran and shouted loudly through the town.

There was still no response.

As they passed a bridge over a stream in the town, the water under the bridge began to churn and even surged out, splashing onto the bridge. Su Deng's expression hardened, and she quickly dodged.

But the water flow seemed to have eyes and was alive; it stretched out a hand from within, grabbed Su Deng, and forcefully swept her into the water under the bridge.

With a "bang," water splashed up, and all the water flowed like hands, pulling her body down.

What was originally a shallow stream now resembled a deep sea, constantly pulling Su Deng downwards. The mask on her face shattered and broke, and fine streams of water poured into her head through her nose, ears, and mouth. Just as she was about to suffocate, Su Deng drew her sword and slashed backwards fiercely.

The water dispersed, and she suddenly stood up from the water, pale-faced and panting heavily, her whole body dripping wet.

[Monster Trigger 106: Bridge Princess, commonly known among humans as a water spirit or water goddess. Legend has it that she committed suicide by jumping from a bridge into the water because of her unrequited love and inability to be with her beloved. She lures men crossing the bridge at night into the water to drown, and forcibly adds women into the water… (The above information is for reference only…)]

Grass!

Su Deng wiped the water off her face to clear her vision. The stream had returned to calm, as if it hadn't made a sound at all.

The town was engulfed in flames, while in the distance, lava erupted from a volcano. The fleeing people and their piercing screams created an atmosphere of impending doom, as if the world were about to end.

Su Deng emerged from the river and continued searching for Su Muye in the village.

After searching around, they couldn't find any trace of Su Muye or Acha.

But the fire spread very quickly, and lava even reached the area.

With no other option, Su Deng had to leave the town.

In just a short while, the leaves of the fallen tree at the entrance of town withered, and the pink leaves turned black.

Su Deng looked back at the town engulfed in flames, a sense of unease creeping into her heart.

The disaster came too suddenly, and all the ghosts disappeared.

The town is gone, so where is she supposed to find the last two monsters?

And there's Su Muye and Acha!

Su Deng licked her slightly dry lips, her eyes filled with a sinister glint.

"Hey!" Cui Tai popped up again: "Why haven't you left yet!"

Su Deng's gaze fell on him, and she stared at him for a while: "Do you know why this disaster happened?"

“This…” Cui Tai hesitated.

But his game proved that he knew the truth.

"These past few years have already been turbulent, and tomorrow is the human shamanic festival. The rampage of monsters is a prelude to tomorrow..."

"Cui Tai!"

Before Cui Tai could finish speaking, a child who appeared out of nowhere stopped him. This child had a demon horn just like Cui Tai, and his skin was bluish. Not wanting Cui Tai to continue, he pulled him away from there.

Before Su Deng could stop them, the two disappeared into the night.

Su Deng put one hand on her hip, somewhat convinced.

What's next?

What to do?

The person you're looking for isn't here.
