Chapter 32 Ancient Village Festival (7) Two Spaces...

Su Deng never expected that Su Muye would appear in this game instance.

Although it was only two games, based on the world notification just sent by the Divine Court, she had a guess in her mind.

Su Muye comes from the future and is not in any of the current timelines covered by the Divine Court's technology. He did not enter this game through teleportation by the Divine Court, but rather he was drawn into it by himself in some way.

To become an heretic in the game, also known as a bug.

Su Muye became a seemingly real but actually unreal NPC in the Divine Court game, unable to leave the game and only able to travel within it.

There are millions of games in the Spirit Realm Hall game pool, and it's impossible that the two of them would coincidentally appear in two games in a row.

Su Muyue previously said that he used Subic to bind her and chased her into the game, so it's highly likely that whichever game she enters, Su Muyue will become a heretical NPC in that game...

But this is just Su Deng's guess.

This would also confirm that if she encounters Su Muye again in the next game, then this conjecture would be 100% correct.

However, the most pressing matter is the game in front of us.

The wind was still howling outside, and the sound of knocking on the door was carried on the wind.

Very clear.

It felt like they were right across from each other.

The clanging sound kept going on and on, seemingly in a very regular pattern.

Meeting Su Deng here was an unexpected surprise. With her mother around, Su Muyue was no longer afraid of anything, and her little mind became much calmer. She tugged at Su Deng's sleeve and whispered, "I heard them say that we can't go out after 9 p.m. on the two nights before the festival, because the ancient demon will come out to eat people during those two days. We can only do so after the festival is over and the demon is subdued and suppressed."

He shrank his neck. "It was the same last night."

Tomorrow is the festival, and nothing has been investigated yet. After all this trouble, her health has dropped to eighty. Su Deng can't possibly stay in this house all night.

Su Deng turned off her flashlight, walked to the window facing the yard, pulled open the curtain a crack, and peered outside.

It was pitch black outside. You could only vaguely see something after staring for a while. The red paper from the firecrackers that hadn't been swept away was swirling in the wind. The courtyard was deserted.

At that very moment, the knocking on the opposite door stopped.

The next moment, there was a knock on the door of the room.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding

So close, swirling around my ears, it even seemed to follow a pattern.

Su Muye grabbed a flagpole and used it as a weapon, hiding next to Su Deng. His delicate, childlike face was full of tension, as if he was afraid that something would break down the door at any moment. He didn't dare to breathe loudly.

Su Deng held her breath and didn't move, letting the door creak and groan.

After about two minutes, the noise finally stopped.

"Waaah!"

"ah!"

Just when Su Deng thought the unseen thing outside had left, she pulled back a corner of the curtain and the glass with the security bars on it. Suddenly, a ghostly blue light shone through, and a strange face covered in blood suddenly jumped out and came into view, pressed against the window, baring its teeth and making faces at them.

Not to mention Su Muyue, even Su Deng was so frightened that he jumped back, tripped over the chair, and almost stumbled and fell to the ground.

"Hehehe..."

The things outside seemed to be excited and frightened them, emitting sharp, strange laughter that made their eardrums ache.

"Mom, cover your ears!"

Feeling as if his eardrums were about to be pierced, Su Deng's unfocused gaze and swaying motion caused Su Muyue, his face pale, to quickly climb onto a chair and frantically cover Su Deng's ears.

Swoosh—

"ah!"

Just then, the silver statue on the altar behind the two of them, whose appearance was unknown, suddenly emitted a beam of golden light that shone towards the window. The thing outside the window screamed and disappeared.

Su Muye was startled again, staring in horror at the statue on the table.

Su Deng regained consciousness, her eardrums still throbbing slightly. She turned on her flashlight and looked at the golden statue enshrined in the shrine on the table.

The statue resembles both a human and a ghost, because it is entirely human in shape but has four arms, and its face is covered by a ghost mask...

It's a very strange statue.

It was completely quiet at that moment, as if nothing had happened.

Su Muye tapped the flagpole with his hand, but there was still no response.

He huddled next to Su Deng, "Mom, what do we do?"

Su Deng pondered for a moment, her gaze falling on the statue on the table, a slight glint in her eyes.

Half an hour later, the door opened from the inside.

Su Deng walked ahead, holding a flashlight in one hand and leading Su Muye with the other. Su Muye had a colorful cloth wrapped around his body, and inside the bag was the shrine statue.

It was still hanging on her chest.

Su Muye's face twitched. "Mom, is this really going to work?"

Su Deng remained expressionless. "Fine."

Just after saying "okay," he took out his flashlight and swept it across the yard, trying to find the ghost that had scared him earlier. Looking at the scene in the yard, he was stunned and momentarily thought he was hallucinating.

This village committee service station is a modern four-room bungalow.

But now—

The scene before me was a retro house made of red wood and gray tiles.

Su Deng turned around abruptly and saw that the room they had just come out of had also disappeared, replaced by a tiled house.

It exudes a sense of decay.

The service station's main entrance has also been replaced with a double door made of mahogany.

Su Muyue felt a chill run down her spine. "Mom, have we time-traveled...?"

Could it be two different timelines?

Su Deng remained calm, pushed open the rickety door, and walked out.

As the flashlight beam swept across the distance, what came into view was not modern buildings, but rows of tiled houses or thatched huts built of stone or wood, exuding a sense of antiquity and decay.

The wind was still howling, though a little weaker, and the sound of suona horns could still be heard from afar, mixed with indistinct cries and what sounded like opera singing, making it even more sinister in the night wind.
