Chapter 34 Ancient Village Festival (9) Who said I was going to fight you!

Su Muye shuddered, his eyes widening, "Could he really be dead...?"

This is just a performance.

But the severed head and the fallen body just didn't look real...

Su Deng's heart skipped a beat. What kind of play was this?

The next moment, the other actors on stage also drew their swords and slit their own throats amidst the mournful and stirring sounds of suona horns and drums, falling heavily to the ground one by one.

Blood slid down the edge of the stage, a shocking sight.

Those watching the play seemed oblivious, even clapping after the death scene ended and the play stopped.

"When midnight arrives, the sacrificial ceremony begins; rise!"

Just then, another loud shout came from behind.

Accompanied by the sound of suona horns.

Su Deng simply turned her head to the side, and when she turned back to look at the square, in the blink of an eye, the stage and the area below it were empty.

Including Liu Sangua and the corpses of the actors on the stage, everyone was gone!

All that's left is an empty stage and empty chairs for people taking selfies in the audience.

Only a few torches illuminated the stage and the audience in a dim light.

Even after the show ends and everyone leaves, it's impossible to walk this fast.

It was incredibly bizarre.

Not to mention Su Muye, even Su Deng felt a chill run down his spine.

Su Deng calmed herself down, turned on her flashlight, and went to check the area near the stage.

As she passed a bench, she bent down and wiped her hands with her fingers, leaving them covered in dust.

Every stool, including those on the stage, was covered in dust, and some were even rotten, clearly having been abandoned for a long time, and didn't look like anyone had just sat on them.

What did they just see?

When Su Deng lowered her gaze, it fell on the edge of the stage. She could see several dark red marks under the dust, which extended upwards to the center of the stage and spread outwards.

The direction of the blood flow was the same as when the masked actor's head was severed.

This is blood!

If those were illusions, then when the illusions disappeared, the torches in the square should have disappeared as well.

But if it's a ghost, how could it possibly have real blood?

Could it be that what just happened was all real, everything that actually occurred here...?

Su Deng took a few steps back, her scalp tingling.

"Mom," Su Muye leaned closer, "it seems to be fogging up."

The white smoke seemed to rise from all directions, spreading gradually from light to dark, and in the blink of an eye, it enveloped the entire square, obscuring even the nearby stage and benches.

"Su Muye, stay close..." Su Deng turned around to grab Su Muye, only to find that Su Muye, who had just been beside her, was gone.

She froze, swept her flashlight through the thick fog, and shouted, "Su Muye! Su Muye!"

"Mom...ah!"

After calling out several times, Su Muye finally responded from the thick fog, but after only uttering one syllable, a scream rang out.

It came from the stage!

"Su Muye!"

Su Deng's expression suddenly turned serious, and she turned and headed towards the stage.

But there was no one on the stage.

There was only one ghost statue on the ground in the middle.

It was from that room in the modern-day Yao Village that Su Deng packed up and asked Su Muye to take it with him.

The ghost statue is here, the cloth is here, but Su Muye is gone.

"Su Muye!"

Su Deng's expression darkened slightly. She called out to the surroundings several more times, but there was no answer. She could even hear her own echo.

“Chuckle…”

Just as Su Deng was about to put the ghost statue away, a child's shrill laughter suddenly rang in her ears. Su Deng turned around sharply, but behind her, white mist swirled, and there was nothing there.

“Hehehe…”

Laughter started again from behind, but when I turned around, there was still nothing there.

But you can sense it, and you can definitely feel something darting around in this thick fog.

After storing the ghost image in the system's temporary item storage warehouse in the game, Su Deng gripped a dagger tightly in one hand and held a flashlight in the other, walking cautiously through the fog.

The thing kept circling around her, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing, its childlike voice echoing around her, piercing her eardrums.

And the sound of suona horns could be heard from afar.

Su Deng frowned and walked towards the outside of the square based on her memory, but after only a few steps, she felt a chill down her spine. Almost subconsciously, Su Deng dodged, as an arrow grazed past her and disappeared into the thick fog ahead in the blink of an eye.

Has a physical attack been launched?

But after the arrow was shot, the eerie cries of the children disappeared.

Su Deng squinted. Listening intently to another "whoosh" from the fog, she seized the opportunity and direction, deflecting the arrow with her dagger and knocking it to her feet.

"Damn it! My arrow!" A clear, low curse came from the fog.

Another person said, "She's just a pretty face who relies on luck and luck. No matter what, the two of us can beat her. What are you showing off your archery skills for?"

"Then let's go!"

It's a human!

Other players!

A cold glint flashed in Su Deng's eyes. Before she could react, two figures, shrouded in thick fog, attacked from both sides. She put the arrow back into the warehouse and quickly retreated to avoid them.

The fog was so thick that nothing could be seen within a meter. The two figures passed right under our noses, their faces obscured. It was the perfect scene for a murder to escalate.

Before Su Deng could even regain her footing, the two figures appeared again, and a bow was slung over her neck from above, the resilient bowstring digging into her skin.

Su Deng was pulled backward and staggered. The wound on her neck, which was almost healed, was reopened. In pain, she reacted quickly and raised the dagger, slashing it hard across her neck.

Zheng—

A sound.

The bowstring broke.

Su Deng put away her flashlight and slashed backward with her dagger.

"Damn it! She cut my bow!"
