Su Muyue was wrapped up and placed on the ground, covered in bandages.
Su Deng walked over and confirmed that he was still breathing before she breathed a sigh of relief.
During a short break, she rummaged through the pile of god-tier materials she had just collected, including dragon wings. Each material's name had an artistic yet strangely forced meaning.
I don't know which crazy person in the Divine Court made this setting.
Inside, Su Deng saw someone called Shen Zhi Yu.
The important thing is its introduction—
It can be used in groups.
Heal the player and their companions.
Su Deng paused slightly, then tentatively called out, "404?"
He actually shouted it out.
[404: Yes.]
Su Deng squinted: "Can god-level materials hit NPCs?"
[404: Yes.]
It only gave a mechanical answer.
The system controlled by the Divine Court certainly wouldn't have any self-awareness.
They created this game world and attracted so many players.
Using the collected god-level materials as bait, one can make a wish to the gods, forcing them to fight for survival.
Let them fight each other for god-tier materials.
It is also divided into four game worlds.
It's like raising a venomous insect.
Seeing the strange situation of 404, Su Deng suddenly had such an idea, but it was none of her business, so she didn't think about it and directly took out this healing god-level material.
Without any hesitation, it was put into use on the spot.
A dazzling, holy golden light enveloped the area, and the wounds on all the monsters healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The bird monster's tattered wings and Su Muye's ears both grew out.
What is she doing?
"Saving monsters in a game is one thing, but using god-tier materials to save them is another?"
"That's god-tier material! Is she crazy?"
"What a waste!"
“I’ll go…”
"What kind of tricks does this woman have?"
"You went to save the monsters while playing a game?"
The group of people in the hall couldn't hear anything, but they could tell what she was doing just by looking at the screen. They all snapped out of their shock at the death of Long Yi and became increasingly agitated.
I wish I could crawl inside and snatch the god-level material from her hands.
Su Deng was completely unaware.
Even if she knew, she wouldn't care at all.
Seeing that Su Muye had transformed into a monster, which was still not awake but had regained its vitality, Su Deng breathed a sigh of relief.
She leaned against the wall for a while to calm herself down, then looked at the treasure chest opposite her.
It's empty.
The contents inside were probably taken by Longyi, who came here earlier, and turned to dust with his death.
"Awoo..."
Exhausted both physically and mentally after a long day, Su Deng was about to close her eyes and rest for a while when she heard a soft hum and felt her hand being licked.
When she opened her eyes, she saw a group of little monsters surrounding her.
Long rabbit ears, green eyes, a wolf-like tail and body shape, exactly the same as the original.
Actually, that scene was quite terrifying.
It gives me goosebumps and sends chills down my spine.
But Su Deng had become numb and was no longer afraid.
Looking down at the monster licking her hand, she asked, "You're the one who brought me here before, right?"
The little monster nodded.
Su Deng looked at the other little monsters, "You can all understand human speech?"
"Awoo awoo..."
"Waaaaah..."
“Wow…”
As if to show they understood, a group of little monsters started making a noisy commotion, and a few of them were jumping and leaping around in place.
He seemed very happy.
Su Deng pursed her lips, her gaze falling on the bird-like monster. After a moment's hesitation, she asked, "You're actually not monsters, you're humans, right?"
"Hehe..." The bird-like monster nodded, its three eerie eyes red and moist like tears.
Su Deng looked at the group of little monsters, "They are all people too, right?"
The bird-like creature continued to nod.
Being able to understand human speech and communicate allows one to ascertain many things.
Su Deng took out the fragments. "Do you know what these are?"
"Hehehe..." Strange sounds escaped from the bird's throat; it wanted to speak, but couldn't utter a word.
Su Deng spoke up, "I said you just need to shake your head or nod."
The strange bird nodded.
Su Deng pondered for a moment, "Are these little monsters all children?"
The strange bird nodded vigorously.
Su Deng looked at it, "Are you their mother?"
The strange bird first shook its head, then nodded, making a "hoho" sound in its throat, but couldn't utter a single word.
Su Deng guessed, "Your child also turned into a monster, but not here. As a mother, you're protecting these children, right?"
Her guess wasn't entirely unfounded.
Mother's love is great.
There are two extremes in this world.
One is a mother who has lost her child. In her madness, she may become jealous of other people's children and even poison them or something.
Another reason is a mother's love for her children. After the grief of losing a child, every child she sees resembles her own, and she will instinctively want to protect them.
This strange bird is a mother, and she is desperately protecting these monsters, not harming them. However, her child is not among these monsters, so there is only the second possibility.
The strange bird nodded, confirming her words.
Several little monsters, upon hearing this, ran to the strange bird's side and nuzzled her affectionately and dependently.
After receiving treatment, their injuries healed, and they regained their energy. They were all very active, and two of them even started fighting, wagging their claws as if they were arguing. The strange bird separated them with its wings and scolded them with two "ho ho" sounds.
If they weren't monsters, Su Deng might have smiled and said something heartwarming.
