Chapter 7 Escape from the Mental Hospital (5) How about playing an escape room game?

The Butcher, as his name suggests, was a man without humanity.

He was ruthless in achieving his goals, and none of those who opposed him survived.

His defining characteristics are cruelty, bloodshed, and utter inhumanity.

The crowd began to sigh and mourn for Su Deng, who was following behind him.

Unaware of the situation, Su Deng only felt that the person in front of her seemed to know the place very well, so she held her breath and followed him quietly about five meters behind.

All the way up to the sixth floor.

The butcher turned into the corridor.

Su Deng lay on the side, peeking out with her head out.

The next moment.

The butcher whirled around, his expression menacing in the dim light, and roared like thunder, "Get out here!"

Su Deng's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly pulled her head back and pressed it against the wall.

The butcher stared menacingly in their direction, then cautiously stepped back.

Each step was heavy and imposing.

He frowned when he saw that there was no one in the stairwell at the corner.

He clearly sensed that someone was following him.

You dare to follow him? You're asking for trouble!

The butcher's gaze fell on the stairwell. Just as he was about to go downstairs, the lights in the building opposite suddenly turned on and an alarm sounded.

"Another person has jumped off a building!"

"There's a fence, where did you jump from!"

"quick!"

A muffled, anxious commotion could be heard as a group of doctors ran out.

There were also sounds coming from downstairs.

The butcher frowned even more, threw the person who was following him aside, and continued walking towards the office ahead.

downstairs.

Su Deng breathed a sigh of relief; that person's gaze had been terrifying.

She still hadn't figured out the rules of the game.

The system message states that the task is to escape within the specified time to succeed.

I won't go up to the rooftop.

The corridors were all blocked off by iron netting.

There's no map of the mental hospital either.

It's chaotic outside right now, let's find the main gate first.

Looking at the noise across the street, Su Deng's thoughts raced for a moment before she stepped downstairs.

But the gate from this building to the courtyard was still locked.

How about playing a real-life escape room game?

Is it a life-or-death situation?

Su Deng licked her lips, suppressing the urge to curse, and began to ponder the lock.

Diamond-shaped keyhole.

There was no wire or anything else on hand, so I couldn't pry it open.

She had no choice but to go back upstairs.

"Ah!! Don't kill me!"

"Someone's trying to kill me! Trying to kill me..."

Just as I reached the third floor, a figure suddenly rushed out from the corridor.

Su Deng was startled again and quickly dodged away.

The man staggered and fell to the ground, turning to look down the corridor. He crawled backward, his pale face contorted with terror, repeatedly crying out, "Don't kill me...don't kill me...I beg you...don't kill me..."

Su Deng followed his gaze and saw nothing in the long, dimly lit corridor.

But the person on the ground seemed to have seen some kind of demon.

Terrified.

"It wasn't me! No! Don't kill me! Don't kill me... Ah!"

As he crawled, it felt as if something grabbed his hind legs, and with a scream, he began kicking wildly into the air.

"Don't kill me...no...uh..."

Soon, it was as if someone had grabbed his neck, and he frantically scratched and thrashed at his neck with both hands, but every time he struck, the blow landed on his own neck.

His eyes rolled upwards, and his face visibly turned bluish.

He started to lose his ability to speak, unable to even choke.

Less than a minute later, his hands fell to the ground, and he remained motionless.

His hands were covered in blood, and his neck was a bloody mess.

Two eyes, wide open with the whites of their eyes rolled back and filled with fear, landed directly on Su Deng, who was standing against the wall.

Staring intently at her was unsettling.

The patient on the ground, dressed in a mental hospital gown, acted as if he were being chased and caught by something, struggling fiercely, but was still strangled to death by it.

But in Su Deng's eyes, it was just him acting crazy and insane.

In the end, he strangled himself to death.

There was no third person in this corridor from beginning to end.

At that moment, Su Deng looked up and met his eyes. She felt her scalp tingle and a chill run from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.

The corridor was eerily quiet, with gusts of cold air sweeping through it.

Suffocating.

Is there a ghost in this mental hospital?

She was mentally screaming "404!"

404: [This task is not covered by system services. Players are responsible for exploring all aspects of the game themselves.]

Su Deng: "..."

Whoosh!

Just then, the large incandescent lights in the corridor suddenly turned on.

The glare made Su Deng close her eyes slightly to adjust, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw several doctors and nurses in white coats and masks running over.

"To die in this manner again..."

"Take him away quickly!"

"That guy..."

They swarmed towards the corpse, and before Su Deng could even dodge, a doctor grabbed her, shouting, "What are you standing there for? Come and help!"

Su Deng snapped back to reality as if struck by lightning, only then realizing that she was wearing a doctor's coat.

"Oh! Here it comes!"

Su Deng pulled her mask up a little higher and bent down to help.

A young nurse asked, "Dr. Sun, where should we send this?"

Dr. Sun said, "Take him to morgue number two first."

Su Deng was forced to follow, and fearing being discovered, she didn't say a word and didn't dare to lift her head.

"This is the eighteenth this month. Could the courtyard really be haunted?"

"Don't let the dean hear you say that, or you can forget about getting your salary this month."

"Hey, where did that guy who just jumped from jump from?"

"While the doctor was feeding him his medicine, the patient rushed out the door, saying he was going to find his daughter. I don't know where he got the strength, but he managed to tear a hole in the wire mesh..."
