Chapter 9 Escape from the Mental Hospital (7) The Monster in Ward 18

The gate to the mental hospital is an iron gate that is more than two meters high.

It's wide open right now.

Five cars drove into the yard.

Su Deng kept glancing over there.

Guo Yu pulled her aside, saying, "Those are patients sent to the intensive care unit. Don't look around carelessly, or you'll get entangled with them."

Su Deng withdrew her gaze and subconsciously asked, "What's got you entangled with?"

"It's because..." Guo Yu stopped mid-sentence, as if remembering something terrifying, fear flashing in her eyes. She pulled her along as she spoke, "They say there's a very scary mental patient in the intensive care unit, someone they call a monster..."

"What are you two talking about?"

"ah!"

A sudden voice from Rock startled Guo Yu, who screamed and drew the attention of those around her.

Guo Yu chuckled awkwardly and pinched Luo Ke hard. "What are you doing!"

Rock raised an eyebrow. "What did you say that scared you so much?"

"I……"

Guo Yu choked, glanced at Su Deng, and stopped talking. She stomped her foot, turned around, and ran to the clock-out point to queue up.

Rock looked at Su Deng, "What did she say to you that made you so guilty?"

Su Deng smiled slightly, "I told you there's a very scary patient in the intensive care unit."

Upon hearing this, Rock's expression changed drastically, and he immediately warned her in a low voice, "There are many things you don't know yet. If you want to live and make money, don't discuss that patient in the intensive care unit!"

After saying that, he quickened his pace to join the queue and check in.

The mere mention of it makes people turn pale. What kind of monster patient is so terrifying?

Su Deng paused slightly, a hint of curiosity rising within her, but at this moment, leaving was the most important thing.

Holding a magnetic card with the name Li Zhiwei between her slender white fingers, she stood in line, nervously swiping the card.

"drop--"

"—Document and person mismatch detected!"

"—An unauthorized person has broken in. Arrest them!"

“Wuwuwu——”

As Su Deng waited expectantly, a large red X appeared on the time clock, followed by a mechanical announcement and a piercing alarm.

Su Deng licked her lips, not disappointed.

If it were that simple, other players would have already used it.

She was just gambling anyway.

The door is just a stone's throw away; I can rush out in just five meters.

According to the mission instructions, she wins as soon as she gets out of this door!

Without saying a word, Su Deng turned and ran towards the gate.

But after running only a couple of steps, he stopped.

Amidst the piercing alarm, in addition to the employees who had already clocked out and left for get off work, those who had clocked out suddenly returned one by one.

They were all stiff, with blank stares, their hands outstretched, and they surrounded her with faltering steps, like zombies or ghouls.

He kept muttering, "Grab her! Grab her..."

Guo Yu and Luo Ke were among them.

Su Deng's face paled slightly as she called out, "Guo Yu?"

Guo Yu acted as if she hadn't heard, and stretched out both hands to grab her.

Su Deng looked back inside and saw that the mental patients who had just been brought in, as well as the people who had escorted them, all had pale faces and blank expressions, looking like ghosts.

The alarm sounded like some kind of curse, instantly turning these people who were just moments before into walking corpses.

Like a monster, with a ferocious face.

Even the security guards in the guard booth were included.

The door behind them slammed shut and the lock was put back on.

This scene was eerie and terrifying; in the gray, chilly morning, the oppressive feeling sent shivers down one's spine and made one's scalp tingle.

No wonder no one uses such a simple method!

Su Deng knew it wouldn't be that simple, but she never expected it to turn out this way.

She kept backing away, and with a determined effort, she had no choice but to give up on the door that was so close at hand. She kicked away the two people who were about to grab her sleeve, and turned to run back into the mental hospital.

“Uh… roo…”

Terrifying roars echoed in his ears, and a group of people turned into monsters chased after him. Su Deng felt a chill run down his spine, and goosebumps covered his entire body.

She didn't dare run back to the building she had just been in, and instead ran into another building with its door open.

When entering the building, quickly remove the key from the door and lock it from the inside.

The doctors and nurses outside, who had turned into zombies, were gripping the iron gate and shaking it desperately. Their faces were so grotesque that they were even more terrifying than those who had gone mad with mental illness.

But the door was very sturdy, and they couldn't break through it for the time being.

Su Deng breathed a sigh of relief and groped her way upstairs.

Even when the sky is obscured by the gray haze during the day, and the hallways are dark and oppressive without the lights on, the visibility is still higher than at night.

When we reached the second floor, we stopped in front of the signboard in the hallway.
