Chapter 35 Ancient Village Festival (10) Offering sacrifices to the mountain god, slaying the mountain demon…

With a loud shout, the Taoist priest clasped his hands together and made several strange hand gestures. He grabbed a handful of incense ash from the incense jar in Liu Sangua's arms and threw it into the air onto the talisman. He then pointed his long sword at the sky, attracting a bolt of lightning that struck the talisman.

With a snap, the talisman wasn't damaged; instead, it was surrounded by lightning. The Taoist slapped the talisman onto the ghost statue, and golden light shone brightly.

When the golden light dissipated, there wasn't a single crack on the ghost statue, and the thunder, lightning, and gale subsided, restoring it to its original state.

"What's going on? Just kill them and be done with it."

Just as Su Deng was cutting off the corner of her clothes that was being grabbed with her dagger and kicking away the person holding her ankle, a handsome young man suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The boy slashed the neck of an old man with his dagger and began slaughtering the ghost-like figures without hesitation.

Those who were killed vanished without a trace, as if reduced to ashes.

"You can't even bring yourself to kill him? Are you a kind-hearted saint or have you never killed anyone before and are too scared?"

After everything was settled, Qin Xian gave Su Deng a cold snort and then flashed in front of her, pointing his dagger at her neck, his two tiger teeth bared. "You dare to steal my things? Either hand over the divine-level materials you have and compensate me with eight hundred points, or I'll kill you."

He demanded 800 points in compensation for glasses that cost 400 points.

It's even better at stealing than the system itself.

Su replied expressionlessly, "That depends on whether you have the ability."

"Hey! You're pretty arrogant, aren't you! I have a short temper..."

Qin Xian immediately took action.

Su Deng didn't fight him head-on. Instead, she dodged to the side and produced an arrow in her hand that was black and red in color and of unknown origin.

Qin Xian's movements abruptly stopped. "My arrow!"

The arrow twirled in her hand, and Su Deng raised a handsome eyebrow. "Want it?"

Qin Xian narrowed his eyes, raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Do you think my things are so easy to take?"

He put his finger to his lips and whistled. The arrow in Su Deng's hand moved on its own. After struggling for a moment, it flew out of her hand and landed in Qin Xian's hand.

"How's it going, newbie?" Qin Xian raised an eyebrow and whistled in a roguish manner. "Judging by your appearance, you haven't activated your personal skills yet, have you?"

Su Deng paused for only a moment before quickly regaining her composure. Looking into the courtyard of the ancestral hall, she realized that the Taoist priest and Liu Sangua were both gone.

At this moment, only the ghost statue with the blood talisman and yellow paper still pasted on it remained in the courtyard, and Su Muye lay on the ground in front of it.

Su Deng's expression hardened, and she ran over, calling out, "Su Muye!"

Su Muye's face was pale, her eyes were tightly closed, and blood was still oozing from the cut, flowing down the ground to the feet of the ghost statue. As if it were constantly absorbing this blood, one of the ghost statue's feet turned dark red...
