Chapter 71 Victory

Wang Tianxiao and Wang Tiancheng shook their heads as they watched.

Wang Tianxiao, in particular, made no attempt to hide the sarcasm on his face, thinking that this guy was a blockhead and could only be used for reconnaissance in the future; it was probably impossible to rely on him for combat.

How many of these wild beasts that roam the mountains and fields can it defeat?

On the battlefield, Big Eyes watched as his sister and Big Black had already defeated their opponents, while he was still fighting. He became anxious and kept barking, darting left and right, jumping around looking for an opportunity.

The badger, not to be outdone, adopted a defensive counter-attacking tactic.

No matter how threatening the wind is, it firmly protects its chest, giving the wind no chance at all.

The situation has reached a stalemate.

"Should we help it?" Wang Tiancheng was anxious. He was worried that Dafeng would not only fail to deal with the badger, but would also get hurt by it.

Badgers are prone to various diseases; what if a bite results in an infectious disease?

“You can’t help it. If you help it with things like this, it will completely lose its edge and probably won’t be able to catch any wild animals anymore. If it can’t even catch a badger, what else can you expect it to catch?”

As he spoke, he shouted to Dafeng, "Dafeng, hurry up and take it down! Are you practicing Taekwondo with him by going back and forth like this?!"

"Woof woof woof!"

The strong wind was agitated.

He may not fully understand what his master is saying, but he can still sense his master's dissatisfaction with him.

It roared angrily, leaping even faster, its pace completely overwhelming the badger. Unable to withstand the onslaught of the strong wind, it decided to change tactics, lying on its back and attacking the wind's legs.

Whenever a strong wind tries to bite it, it rotates its body around its back on the ground, positioning its mouth against the wind's mouth so that it can't bite.

This really upset the public.

After pouncing dozens of times and realizing it couldn't catch it, it suddenly changed its approach.

It pretended to pounce on the badger's tail, but in the instant the badger turned to the side, it suddenly turned its head and bit the badger's belly. With a forceful tear, it ripped open the badger's stomach, and all the internal organs immediately sprayed out.

The badger, in pain, turned and bit Dafeng's leg, but Dafeng was prepared. He tore at the badger's belly and jumped forward, tearing the wound even wider.

Wang Tianxiao had seen this bloody scene many times, but it was the first time Wang Tiancheng had ever seen it, and he immediately gasped in shock.

At this time, he was still very gentle and maintained a relatively mild attitude towards all animals, whether it was a badger or the jackal he had encountered earlier.

Wang Tianxiao, on the other hand, remained relatively calm and unmoved by the wild animals.

I was moved by their mother's love when I rescued the leopard cats, and since leopard cats are small and easy to raise, that's why I adopted them.

Having also lost his parents, the jackal didn't have much emotion.

Because he disliked jackals.

He was just an ordinary person, incapable of universal love. He projected his own likes and dislikes onto animals. Jackals were too cunning and cruel, and did not deserve any sympathy.

Even though the jackal did that, it was only for survival.

The battle in the arena is basically coming to an end.

Once the dog tears an opening, it basically doesn't need to force itself; it just needs to drag it slowly, and the badger's movements become weaker due to the increasing bleeding.

Slowly, it lay still on the ground.

Dafeng proudly placed one of its front paws on the badger's body and wagged its tail at Wang Tianxiao.

It's like someone who finally defeats their opponent, stands on their opponent's back, and smugly tells those who care: Look how awesome I am!

After seeing that the scene was basically over, Wang Tianxiao walked over and patted Dafeng's head. Although this guy had put in a lot of effort to barely deal with the guy who was weaker than him, he still wanted to give him a little encouragement so that he would be more confident next time.

Wang Tianxiao squatted down and found that his guess was correct. There was indeed a small badger in the cage, smaller than the one that Dahei had caught earlier, weighing only about two or three kilograms.

The little creature was very aggressive in its cage, constantly ramming against the edge and biting with its sharp teeth as if trying to tear the cage apart.

Wang Tianxiao pulled two ropes off his waist and threw one to Wang Tiancheng. The two of them tied up the badgers that Aying and Dahei had suppressed and put them into bags.

You have to be very careful when tying up these very sharp-toothed objects. Make sure to wrap their mouths tightly, and wrap them several times to ensure they can't open their mouths at all. Otherwise, unless you use an iron cage, they will definitely bite through the container and escape.

After tying their mouths shut, wrap ropes around their limbs and pull them together to form a knot. The wild animals will then be unable to break free and will be left helpless.

This method can be used not only to tie up small predators like badgers and jackals, but also large predators like red deer.

As long as it's fixed in this way, there's unlikely to be any accidents.

There are two ways to handle game that you kill. If the game is about to die or has just died, you should cut its throat to bleed it out, otherwise the meat will spoil quickly.

If the prey is alive and well and not in immediate danger of dying, you can take it back alive. Avoid bleeding it in the wild if possible.

Especially at night, if too much bloody smell is released in the mountains, it will attract large carnivores, which will be quite troublesome.

It's fine to take it back and deal with it slowly.

The two badgers were put into a bag separately, which Wang Tiancheng carried on his back, while the small badger in the cage was carried by Wang Tianxiao along with the cage.

The badger on the ground was tied with a rope and dragged behind by the wind. Since it was the prey it caught, it didn't mind being dragged along.

Having taken care of everything, the two men and three dogs returned home with a full load.

After walking for a while, Wang Tianxiao saw that the two dogs were walking comfortably, so he gave each of them one of the bags that Wang Tiancheng was carrying. They looked at Wang Tianxiao with confusion, but after confirming that their master was not joking, they gladly accepted and temporarily acted as little donkeys.

Who says dogs can't carry heavy loads?

The mountain wind was cold, carrying with it the calls of owls and nightingales.

Wang Tiancheng sighed, "Brother, it would be nice to live in the mountains forever. We could hunt every day without any burdens and live a carefree life."

Wang Tianxiao laughed and said, "Young people shouldn't be so pessimistic. You think the mountains are nice, but that's because you haven't seen the outside world yet. Don't make a decision lightly before you've experienced more. How do you know there won't be a life you yearn for even more? Besides, you still need to realize your own life's value, don't you?"

Wang Tiancheng smiled.

"I was just saying. No matter how good life is outside, I don't dislike life in the mountains. How about I come back from my military service and come with you to guard the mountains?"
