Wang Tianxiao stood dejectedly on the fourth floor, leaning on the railing and looking down at the bustling crowd below. It was a sea of heads, and everyone was wearing colorful clothes. It was so crowded that it made one's eyes blur.
Finding someone is really not easy.
Just as he was feeling down, he suddenly saw that little round girl in the crowd again.
His appearance was truly striking among the crowd. His bald head was a rare sight in Qingcheng, where people needed hair to protect their heads in the cold winter.
Even if someone gets a short haircut, they'll wear a hat; they won't just go around with their head bare.
Wang Tianxiao's gaze followed Xiao Yuan's movements and he was surprised to find that Xiao Yuan had come to a tea shop, where someone was already waiting. It was the girl in the yellow dress that Wang Tianxiao had been searching for.
Without delay, Wang Tianxiao rushed down from the crowd, his eyes fixed on Xiao Yuan's bald head, and soon arrived beside them.
When he got close, he finally confirmed that the girl in the yellow dress was indeed his second sister, Wang Xiaolan.
After all, she was his own sister. Even though he hadn't seen her for many years and the girl he saw was a young Wang Xiaolan, the natural sense of closeness made him instantly certain that the girl in front of him was his sister.
Wang Xiaolan and Xiaoyuan also saw Wang Tianxiao immediately, and both of them looked a little unnatural.
From Wang Xiaolan's perspective, she had only not seen Wang Tianxiao for two or three years, so she naturally did not know that Wang Tianxiao had already been reborn and returned.
Xiao Yuan didn't notice Wang Xiaolan's unease beside him. He was secretly nervous, wondering why Wang Tianxiao had come after him again. He had already shown weakness, and he hadn't done anything wrong. Why was he being so persistent?
"you……"
Xiao Yuan was about to say something to Wang Tianxiao when he saw that Wang Tianxiao wasn't looking at him, but instead grabbed the arm of the woman beside him. He was stunned.
What, you've taken a fancy to my woman?
Is this blatant robbery?
Everyone says the people here are tough, but they're not this tough, are they?
However, he hadn't yet felt the urge to protect the woman beside him; he was just subconsciously frightened by Wang Tianxiao's serious gaze.
Wang Tianxiao ignored Xiao Yuan beside him.
He was completely absorbed in looking at his sister, and for a moment he was in a daze.
His second sister died very early in his previous life, so he hadn't seen her for almost twenty years.
During the time her younger sister was alive, she rarely went home because of the strained relationship with her mother, and they were almost always separated.
He also clearly didn't care enough about his younger sister.
The main reason was that there were just too many people in my family at the time.
In contrast, he devoted much of his energy to his younger siblings. He didn't show much care for his sister, who was only four years younger than him, and often hoped that she could help him.
Wang Xiaolan has a strong personality, unlike her sisters.
Even though she was a girl, she was unwilling to listen to her parents and older brother. She even threatened to sever her relationship with her mother after an argument. It wasn't until six months before her mother's death that things calmed down a bit.
But by then, the mother and daughter had lost that deep, blood-is-thicker-than-water intimacy; all that remained was exhaustion and mutual compromise.
"Second Brother," Wang Xiaolan called out.
Second Brother, Xiao Yuan looked at Wang Tianxiao in surprise, not knowing how to respond for a moment.
Wang Tianxiao turned to look at Xiaoyuan and said calmly, "My sister and I have something to discuss. Please excuse us for a moment."
Xiao Yuan hesitated for a moment, then turned away without saying anything.
Wang Tianxiao finally calmed down. He looked at his sister, dressed in a trendy style, heavily made up, and with a face full of vicissitudes, and felt a pang of sadness.
She was only twenty-one years old.
How did it turn out like this?
Although everyone has their own ambitions, she was young and immature back then, and as her older brother, I didn't give her enough care.
He said softly, "Xiao Lan, when did you get back? Why didn't you go home?"
Wang Xiaolan hesitated for a moment, then shook her head and said, "I don't want to go back. My mother doesn't like me, so there's no point in me going back. Anyway, she has plenty of children, so it doesn't matter whether she has a daughter or not."
“Then you’ll come back,” Wang Tianxiao said.
Wang Xiaolan bit her lip, stubbornly remaining silent.
"Xiaolan, now that you're back, come home and stay. You've been away for so long, you shouldn't have much resentment left. That's just how your mother is; she's not the only one who's harsh on you."
“I’m not going back. I don’t want to see her anyway. If I do see her, she’ll just yell at me. The two of them are avoiding each other and enjoying their peace of mind.”
Wang Tianxiao looked at his stubborn younger sister and felt a sense of helplessness.
If she really didn't miss home, why would she come back and travel thousands of miles to visit her hometown's temple fair?
Perhaps the closer one gets to home, the more timid one becomes.
Thinking of the aloof atmosphere in his own family, he could completely understand why Wang Xiaolan didn't go home.
Anyone can be easily overwhelmed by a racing heart.
So where do you live now?
"The town's guesthouse."
"That... bald guy..."
“He is my man.” Wang Xiaolan said without hesitation.
Wang Tianxiao felt extremely distressed.
Putting aside any other issues with their mother Zhang Yufeng, her appearance wasn't bad at all. So, apart from Wang Tianyi, who was a bit unattractive, the other siblings of Wang Tianxiao were all quite good-looking.
Especially the three girls, each one more beautiful than the last.
The most beautiful of them all is the second sister, Wang Xiaolan.
