Chapter 48: Evil and Private Thoughts

There were constant screams from the back! Especially from the Song sisters, the noise was so loud that I couldn't plan the next move.

"ah!!!"

"Help! Oh my god! What the hell is this!"

They shouted at the top of their lungs, and I quickly found a torch from the brazier and pointed it at the beast, protecting Yunwen. I shouted at the top of my voice, "Go up!"

"Let's go up together!" Yunwen cried in fear.

I was holding a torch, and the beast was a little scared, roaring with its ferocious mouth. Before it came over, I immediately reached for the gun in my backpack. After Yunwen went up, she pulled me up, and I got on the kang smoothly.

I half-crouched, and in the faint light of the fire, I picked up the M16, put my finger on the trigger, and aimed it at the beast's face. It aimed at me and kept moving. In this light, plus the beast's agility, I didn't expect to hit it, but I could scare it.

However, I did not shoot at the first moment, because after all, I stole its prey. If it was just looking for prey and had no interest in us, then it would be fine. But if it had other ideas, then we would be in deep danger, and there would be no harm if we shot at that time.

I saw the beast sniffing at the wild boar on the ground, then it passed by it and came towards us!

"Everyone step back. This gun has a strong recoil. Don't get close to me," I said.

When the Song sisters saw that I had a gun, they calmed down a little, stopped screaming wildly, and obediently took a few steps back.

Da-da-da! Da-da-da!

After two consecutive three-shot bursts, the beast roared and retreated, grabbing the wild boar and dragging it out...

I heard the sound gradually fading away, so I rolled down immediately and blocked the wooden door tightly. Yunwen also came to help. The Song sisters, seeing that the two of us were fine, also tiptoed over, but did not block the door. Instead, they watched from behind.

I listened to the noise through my ears and relaxed a little.

I leaned against the side wall, and to ensure that everything was safe, I opened the door, put my gun against the eaves of the door to conceal myself as much as possible, and then poked my head out slightly to see what the situation was outside. This was a common method of reconnaissance I used when performing tasks in the past.

However, at this moment, with a bang, a figure flashed past my eyes, and the door was quickly closed. Fortunately, I heard the sound and put away the gun quickly, otherwise it would have hit the door!

"Who closed the door? Who went out just now?" I asked hurriedly.

But Song Bailu looked horrified, while Song Yingchun turned away and said, "I shut it up. I told you I'll make you regret it, Zhou Bo!"

I gasped. So the person who just passed by me was Yunwen?

"Oh my god, you!!!" I was so angry that I picked up the gun, pointed it at Song Yingchun's head, and almost pulled the trigger.

She was so scared that her face turned pale and her eyes widened. I smelled a foul odor and knew that this girl was so scared that she peed her pants!

"Anyway, the monster won't come back after eating people. I'm doing this for everyone's good!" Song Yingchun cried.

"Fuck you..." I shouted, cursing her ancestors, and Bailu quickly stopped me.

"Zhou Bo! Don't be angry yet, go and save sister Yunwen." Song Bailu took the opportunity to say.

I pointed my finger at Song Yingchun, slammed the door and rushed out!

Grabbing the gun, I limped out, blaming myself as I went out for bringing the wild boar back. The wild boar must have followed the smell of blood and came here step by step. Food is hard to find in winter, even for wild beasts. If I rashly took back its prey, wouldn't I be inviting a wolf into the house?

I immediately fired a few shots into the air, trying to attract the beast to cause trouble for me and away from Yunwen. It was pitch black outside and I couldn't see anything, so I became even more worried about Yunwen's safety.

"Be careful, Zhou Bo!" Yunwen's voice came.

Under the moonlight, I heard the sound of galloping. I didn't have time to aim and was suddenly knocked down. Its desire for revenge was even stronger than that girl Song Yingchun. I guess I hit its ear, so it wanted to take revenge on me immediately after hearing the sound!

It bit my collar hard, and I immediately protected the back of my neck with my hands. It bit and tore, pulling and tugging, venting its anger. I could only take the bites and could not do anything else. I knew I could not hold on for much longer.

A body weighing nearly 300 pounds kept stepping on and moving on me. I could only feel the pain in my ribs and couldn't breathe!

Bang!

This is the sound of a shovel hitting someone's head. I looked up and saw Yunwen trembling with the shovel in her hand. The sound just now was exactly the sound of her hitting the other person's skull...

The wild hyena roared, moved away from my body, rushed towards Yunwen, and knocked her down. I was afraid that it would bite Yunwen's neck, so I immediately grabbed its tail tightly!

"Run!" I shouted at Yunwen.

"Help! Come out and help, Zhou Bo is dying, come out quickly..." Yunwen shouted in despair.

The beast bit my arm and swung it violently. Its bite force was so strong that it went right through my clothes and bit into my flesh!

However, no matter how hard Yunwen shouted, no one came out. They were all hiding in the house, and even if Yunwen had a shovel, she didn't know how to start, for fear of hurting me.

Just then, there was a loud bang!

A stone flew from a distance and hit the wild deer on the head, with such force that the stone was shattered into powder...

The wild deer swayed a few times and then fell to the ground, unable to move any further.

"roar!"

A roar was the cry of Bigfoot. It stood majestically on a tree and beat its chest, declaring its territory!

As the saying goes, the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. Although this ferocious beast followed the scent of the wild boar and came here, it did not know that it had also entered the territory of the more powerful Bigfoot at the top of the food chain, and therefore it was doomed to die.

Then, Bigfoot came over, kicked down the fence I had carefully arranged, and used his thug to lift the skin of the deer's neck, carrying the huge weight on his shoulders at once, roaring and groaning.

Then, it looked at me with its deep eyes. I dared not move. It left with a thought-provoking look on its face.

I was trembling all over. Yunwen threw herself into my arms, holding me tightly with both hands. Her soft body gave me a little comfort. She stuck to me tightly and kept crying. She was more nervous and scared than I was.

"I watched you suffer but couldn't help you at all... I was so timid and cowardly! Wuuuu..." Yunwen kept crying, her chest heaving, and her tearful look was particularly touching.

"I'm fine. Where were you hiding just now? How come that thing didn't hurt you?" I asked.

"It kept chasing me, and I ran forward as fast as I could, but it still knocked me down and scratched my back. But after it heard your gunshot, it immediately changed its target and headed towards you. I told you to be careful." Yunwen sobbed as she spoke.

"That's good, it happened in time, otherwise we might..." I said.

She suddenly stood up and kissed me on the mouth. For a moment, I tried to respond, but she retracted her face and said, "Don't think too much. I just don't want you to say those unlucky words. I also want to repay you. If you hadn't thought of me at the time and left me outside, I would have been a meal for that wild animal. Thank you for risking your life to save me."

"I said I would save your life. Be a man and keep your word," I said.

She smiled, then put her arms around my shoulders and leaned her head gently on them, as if my shoulders had become all her support.

After surviving the catastrophe, even the moon in the sky has become clear and bright...

"Thank you, Zhou Bo! Thank God for letting me meet you..."
