"Master, I'm going down!" Daniel said, and then jumped down.
It has to be admitted that Daniel is more mature, steady, and considerate than Zhou Zhan. Leng Fengmei was thinking—
Suddenly, a faint voice rang out, and Daniel said, "This person is dying!"
She quickly took a vial of medicine from her backpack. "Give this to Daniel!"
When the two men lifted the man up, he was already able to open his eyes, though his breathing was weak. "How else do you want to torture me!" he said, his eyes empty and numb.
"We've come to rescue you!" he said, gesturing for Daniel to take him away, but he hadn't expected that Daniel was one of the building's inhabitants.
The man glanced at the two of them every now and then, thinking, "I'm really saved! It feels like a dream."
Looking at the woman in front of me, she was a complete stranger, but her voice seemed familiar!
Leng Fengmei summoned two mutated eagles, and Daniel, carrying the man, and the three of them carried the mutated eagles back to headquarters in an instant.
Wang Chao's eyes widened in shock. He had heard stories of people taming mutated animals before, but he never expected to actually encounter one himself! He pinched himself hard, "Hiss!" This wasn't a dream; it was real!
Leng Fengmei looked at Zhou Zhan who was coming to greet her and said, "We rescued a person from the Great Xia Kingdom. You can decide what to do with him!" Then she left with Daniel.
Zhou Zhan handed the person over to Wen Shun and quickly caught up, "Amei, I want to talk to you!"
“Yes, go ahead!” Leng Fengmei said calmly.
Zhou Zhan looked at Daniel beside him and said, "I want to talk to you alone!"
“I know what you want to say!” Leng Fengmei looked at Zhou Zhan. “Let’s talk again after things are over here.”
What she was thinking was that a person's character can't be changed overnight! Instead of wasting time listening to his apologies only to repeat the same mistakes, she'd rather do something productive; she really didn't want to stay here!
Looking at the woman's resolute expression, Zhou Zhan said, "Amei, I was wrong, please don't be angry."
"I'm not angry, I'm just thinking about how we should get along in the future!" Leng Fengmei said calmly.
Although she liked Zhou Zhan, she wasn't a naive girl experiencing love for the first time! What Zhou Zhan saw as an interaction between lovers, she genuinely disliked!
"What's there to think about? Aren't we doing great?" Zhou Zhan said excitedly.
Daniel frowned, his hands clenched tightly behind his back.
"Zhan, stop fooling around! Let's finish dealing with this first..."
"No!" Zhou Zhan immediately grabbed the woman's arm...
Daniel threw a punch, and Zhou Zhan was caught off guard and hit squarely!
“Daniel!” Leng Fengmei glared at him fiercely.
They rushed over to check on Zhou Zhan's injuries, asking, "Ah Zhan, are you alright?!"
"Do you even have me in your heart?" With that, he shook off the woman's hand, and Leng Fengmei was caught off guard and thrown to the ground.
Just as Zhou Zhan was about to reach out, Daniel rushed to help him up, asking, "Master, are you alright?"
"I'm fine!" Leng Fengmei only felt heartache; falling in love is easy, but living together is hard!
Ignoring Daniel's punch, Zhou Zhan stared nervously at the woman, "Amei, I didn't mean to!" He then turned to come over again.
Daniel stood in front of him, looking at Zhou Zhan with icy eyes.
Leng Fengmei quickly said, "Daniel, go check on Professor Jia's research!" She was afraid the two of them would start fighting again. Ugh! Does anyone consider her feelings?!
"Yes, Master!" Daniel accepted the order and left.
"Amei, I was wrong. You can punish me however you want, just don't ignore me!" Zhou Zhan said, his eyes red and wet.
"Ah Zhan, I hope my sincerity can be treated gently, and not hurt by your momentary impulse!"
Leng Fengmei knew that Zhou Zhan, a child who had been pampered since childhood, would become irritable and even self-harm if things didn't go his way!
"Amei, I'll never do it again!" she said, reaching out to hug the woman.
"Ah Zhan!" Leng Fengmei reached out to stop him from getting closer. "No woman likes violence. If you're always so impulsive, we're really not suitable for each other!"
Zhou Zhan felt as if his heart was about to break. "I love you so much, how could I possibly hurt you?"
“I only asked you to manage the country of Ross, and you acted like this. What would you do if I said I didn’t want to be with you?” Leng Fengmei looked at the man seriously and said.
"Then you might as well kill me!" Zhou Zhan's breathing became heavy.
Leng Fengmei sighed softly, "A-Zhan, have you ever thought about why I sent you to protect the Kingdom of Ross?"
Zhou Zhan looked at the woman and asked in confusion, "Why?" He thought to himself that he was in so much pain that he couldn't think straight, yet she was still asking him.
"Because that place is vast and rich in resources, it might become the place where we live in seclusion in the future! I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it with anyone else!" Leng Fengmei patiently explained to him.
"But I don't want to be separated from you!" Zhou Zhan said, feeling wronged.
"Why don't we let Xiao Shuai manage it? I think he'd be willing!" Leng Fengmei said.
"No, I don't agree!" Zhou Zhan's eyes widened when he heard this. "He's never given up on you. Find someone else!" Zhou Zhan said stubbornly.
