Kyoto Conference Room
Zhou Jianye's gaze swept over his subordinates. "The person we should be most grateful to today is Commander Leng. She risked her life to save us all in our most perilous moment! As the saying goes, true friendship is revealed in times of trouble..."
After giving a speech, he turned his gaze to the group of superhumans led by Jia Renyi, saying, "I am proud to have such a daughter-in-law!"
"If you ever need anything from us in the future, I, Zhou Jianye, hereby declare that we will do our utmost!" he said, looking at the crowd.
"Yes, we are very grateful to Commander Leng for saving our lives!" said a bald, pot-bellied man, his voice trembling with lingering fear.
"Me too!!!" Every single one of them was genuinely grateful.
Only a few elders had a strange look in their eyes, and they were worried that their family's status would be inferior to that of a woman.
But appearances must be maintained: "If there's anything I, Old Zhu, can do to help, I will absolutely not refuse!!!"
Zhou Jianye knew exactly what his subordinates were thinking, and a smile crept onto his lips. "My daughter-in-law has her own world, and I can't keep her here even if I wanted to!" He glanced at the group, his face full of mockery.
The group looked embarrassed and forced a dry laugh, saying, "Commander Leng is exceptionally capable; he can thrive anywhere."
Jia Renyi remained silent, his face numb, his heart already with the woman. "Amei, how are you?"
The thought of not being able to contact Daniel earlier filled him with panic, so he didn't listen to a word they said.
Daniel tried to contact his owner many times, but all his attempts were in vain!
He tried to contact other mutant animals, such as those chasing stars, but received no response!
The master once said, "I have made a contract with you. My life is your life, and my death is your death!"
Thinking that I was fine, I suddenly felt much more at ease!
Leng Fengmei didn't know how long she had slept, but when she opened her eyes, she saw a sky full of stars! "Youming, the stars are so beautiful!"
"Master, shall I take it off for you?" Youming felt happier than ever before.
"Hehehe!" The woman couldn't help but laugh. "Are you silly? How could you take that off!"
Then, Youming stretched out his long tentacles, reaching high into the clouds, and said confidently, "Master, one day I will definitely be able to pick it down for you!"
"Alright, I'll wait!" Leng Fengmei said, standing up. "Youming, I'm going back." She saw that Zhou Zhan and the others remained suspended in the air.
They didn't know how long they had slept, and what if they ran out of fuel and fell down again?
"Master, how much longer until you arrive?" Youming asked, his voice filled with reluctance.
Leng Fengmei sensed Youming's emotions. "Hmm, how about I come see you tomorrow and bring you some more energy water!"
"Really!" Youming was overjoyed. "Master keeps his word!"
"Mmm!" she said, about to leap up...
"Master, I'll take you!" Youming's two thick vines, like two strong arms, lifted the woman and carried her to the helicopter.
When Zhou Zhan saw that his little woman had finally come over, he quickly opened the cabin door and asked, "Amei, are you alright?" His eyes were full of concern.
"It's alright now. I'll have to trouble Commander Luo to escort me for a while. The contracted beasts haven't recovered yet!" Leng Fengmei looked at Luo Hongxing with a slightly flushed face. She was only weak at the time, not unconscious. She thought it would have been better if she had been unconscious. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to find a crack in the ground.
Zhou Zhan pulled the woman into his arms. "Amei, don't be shy, let's go back quickly, Professor Jia is probably getting impatient!" He glanced at Luo Hongxing as he spoke, practically telling him not to push his way in, there were already enough people.
"Back to Kyoto!" Luo Hongxing wasn't going to argue with a child. He glanced at the woman whose cheeks were slightly flushed. "Commander Leng, do you remember what just happened?"
Leng Fengmei's face flushed again. "I don't remember. I fainted when my energy was depleted."
"How did you know I was asking about that time?" Luo Hongxing asked seriously.
Leng Fengmei's awkward smile vanished abruptly, her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, and her lips trembled uncontrollably, unable to utter a single word.
Seeing the woman's adorable, embarrassed expression, Luo Hongxing couldn't help but chuckle.
"Luo Hongxing, that's enough!" Zhou Zhan said through gritted teeth.
"That's not enough. Commander Leng, you must give me an explanation when we get back!" Luo Hongxing's eyes began to burn.
From initial bewilderment to now being filled with doubt, Leng Fengmei said, "Commander Luo, I still don't understand why you suddenly seem like a different person. I don't remember us ever being that close!"
She had to say it, otherwise what kind of person would she be!
Hearing the little woman's words, Zhou Zhan's tense nerves slowly relaxed, and he glared at Luo Hongxing fiercely, "You're just being presumptuous!"
"You really don't remember what you did to me?" Luo Hongxing stared straight at the woman, a hint of hurt in his eyes.
"When did I meet you?" Leng Fengmei couldn't remember at all.
"We got drunk together last time..." Luo Hongxing deliberately didn't explain clearly.
Just then, Zhou Zhan's fist came flying, but Luo Hongxing grabbed it. "If you don't want the plane to crash and everyone to die, you'd better behave yourself!"
"Zhou Zhan, calm down!" Leng Fengmei was lost in her memories. "It's impossible. Nothing happened between us. My clothes were perfectly fine when I woke up."
Luo Hongxing looked at the woman's confused yet earnest expression and couldn't help but feel overjoyed. "Sigh, all my innocent love has been misplaced!"
Leng Fengmei's lips twitched as she listened. It sounded strange coming from such a treacherous and cunning person.
"Don't talk nonsense. If there were anything, I would definitely remember it!"
