Chapter 106 Crystal Energy Particle Cannon

Lin Ruo drove the truck she had seized that day. The road from the north suburbs to the south suburbs was quite long, and gliding alone would be too tiring. She drove to the south suburbs first, and then went to the base in City B invisibly.

Lin Ruo had already removed the banners and license plates from the truck, so even if someone saw it, they wouldn't think it was a truck from the Qiyuan Base.

As the car drove along the road in the northern suburbs, many mutated animals came running at the sound and pounced on the truck. A blue light flashed in Lin Ruo's eyes, and ice arrows appeared around the truck, killing the mutated animals instantly. She would stop and pick up the corpses of those with crystal cores, but she wouldn't even pick up the corpses of those without crystal cores.

It took her nearly two hours to reach the southern suburbs. Noticing that there were more and more people, she found a secluded and deserted place, put away the truck, put on an invisibility water shield, and then sped off on her skateboard toward the B City base.

Half an hour later, Lin Ruo finally saw the gate of the B City base. By then, a high-voltage electric fence had been erected again on the city wall of the B City base, but it was unclear who it was for.

Lin Ruo crouched and jumped, using her water-based superpowers to quickly leap over the city wall and head straight for the inner laboratory of the B City base.

Although she had never been to this laboratory before, she had scanned it with her mental energy when she was looking for Jiang Haochen, so she had a fairly good understanding of its structure. This time, she entered the laboratory with a specific purpose in mind, and it did feel different from before.

Lin Ruo, familiar with the location, visited the laboratory using the scanned map. The laboratory, located in the center of the inner layer, had been transformed into a towering stone building, which looked much more upscale than when she had "seen" it from the outside before.

Lin Ruo stealthily entered the building. The entire interior of the building was covered with ore, and large fireplaces were set up all around the lobby. Researchers wearing white coats and carrying research materials kept walking through the lobby.

She expanded her mental energy, trying to find the drug research lab she had visited before, but suddenly her eyes lit up, and she flashed upstairs.

The weapons laboratory on the third floor is an entire floor where more than a dozen researchers are gathered around a two-meter-high model made of underground minerals, discussing something.

"Only underground ore can withstand such energy fluctuations, but this underground ore is too heavy. If we want to successfully make the crystal energy cannon, we need to reduce its weight."

"These crystal cores contain a large amount of energy. If these superhumans can guide the energy from these crystal cores for their absorption, then they must be able to achieve physical guidance..."

Lin Ruo appeared in front of the model, her eyes sparkling. This was the crystal energy particle cannon she had always wanted!

This cannon doesn't need shells, just crystal cores. The damage it emits is in the form of particle light waves, which are extremely powerful. Although it can't compare to the power of a missile, it's not far behind. Most importantly, this thing is durable and can be used multiple times. The interval between each shot is only a few minutes. As long as there are enough crystal cores, it can be used indefinitely and is not affected by weather changes. It's simply a divine weapon for the apocalypse.

Her idea was to install two of these on her fortress, so that even if she had to fight the base head-on, she wouldn't have to worry about running out of her powers.

In their previous lives, these researchers and high-ranking officials without superpowers maintained their absolute leadership position precisely because of this thing, since even superpowered individuals couldn't withstand two hits from it.

I didn't expect that the B City base had already started research and development when it was half a year into the extreme cold. No wonder it was put into use after only one year into the extreme heat.

Lin Ruo weaved among the researchers, examining the crystal energy cannon from top to bottom, checking its structure, and scanning it with his mental power again and again. Unfortunately, this was just a model and had not yet been successfully developed. It would be great if this were a finished product.

She stayed there for more than half an hour, and only when she realized that she was running out of time did she reluctantly go to the drug research laboratory.

The researchers in the drug research lab were all busy at work, either observing drug reactions under a microscope or preparing drugs. The entire environment was eerily quiet; not a single person spoke.

Using her spiritual power, she sensed that the prescriptions were all in the inner room of the drug research lab. Without lingering, she headed straight for the inner room.

There is a huge safe here, and the prescriptions are all kept in it.

Lin Ruo set up a soundproof shield in the inner room, placed his hand on the safe, and probed into the safe with his mental energy. The gear structure inside immediately appeared in Lin Ruo's mind. At the same time, he activated his water-based superpower, using tiny ice crystals to push the gears inside to turn. With a "click," the safe opened.

Lin Ruo took out several prescriptions for medicines, which were full of names of medicine ingredients and chemical reagents. She couldn't understand them at all and couldn't find any inspiration.

She sighed softly, rearranged the items in the same order as before, and then locked the safe again.

She removed the soundproof water membrane and quickly left the drug laboratory.

She left the B City base without any obstacles. It was already past four in the afternoon when she came out. In order to get back to the fortress as soon as possible, she chose to drive back from outside the B City base.

It was another nearly two-hour drive, and by the time we got back to the fortress, it was completely dark.

Lin Ruo's mind was filled with the crystal energy cannon she had seen before. Based on the details scanned in her mind, she wanted to try and see if she could make a crystal energy cannon herself.

In Lin Ruo's experiment, a few days passed quickly, and the level 2 mutated beast meat at home was gone again. Lin Ruo, the responsible pet owner, had to come and restock the food for the three big eaters at home.

The northern suburbs are filled with collapsed, massive buildings, and the chaotic streets are deserted.

Lin Ruo rode on Afu's back, walking on the road in the northern suburbs of the town. They had never been here before, and because both the B City base and the Qiyuan base had chosen the Yanshan Mountains in the southern suburbs, there were hardly any humans to be seen here.
