The return journey always felt shorter; Lin Ruo returned to the grain depot in just one hour.
At this time, the convoy from the B City base had already set up camp here, and all the trucks were loaded with grain.

Lin Ruo drove into the grain depot, stepped on the brakes, and with a screech, opened the car door and jumped out.
Afu and Ashou rushed over and nuzzled Lin Ruo's neck with their huge heads. She had only been gone for three hours, but it made Afu and Ashou very uneasy.
This was the first time Lin Ruo had left them with someone else, and they felt insecure.
Lin Ruoren let them rub against her for a while before laughing and pushing them away. "Alright, alright, I'll only be gone for a few hours. Besides, aren't you hungry?"
Ah Fu and Ah Shou then quickly jumped into Lin Ruo's trunk, took the two large steel basins off the vehicle, obediently placed them in front of Lin Ruo, sat down on the ground with their big tails wagging happily, and waited for dinner.
Ye Lin stood up and walked to Lin Ruo's side. "You're back."

He came to explain the harvest to Lin Ruo, since her reward was included in the harvest. "We harvested a total of tons of grain this time. Your share will be given to you when we get to the base."

After saying that, he turned around and went back to the campfire, sitting down next to Jiang Yue.
Without pausing, Lin Ruo led Afu to the back of the car to prepare dinner for Afu and Ashou.
They were indeed hungry. Having not eaten for two meals, they devoured the remaining wolf king meat before slowly starting to drink water.
Lin Ruo was warming the water basin for them with her hands when suddenly Afu raised its head and whimpered threateningly into the distance.

Seeing that Afu and Ashou had stopped drinking water, Lin Ruo stood up and patted them, who were warily watching the woman. "Go and rest. You must be tired today."
Ah Shou licked Lin Ruo's hand before jumping back into the car with Ah Fu and lying down to rest.
Lin Ruo put their water basins into the trunk, and the woman walked up to her. "My name is Duan Kejia. I heard from them that your name is Lin Ruo. It's really nice to meet you."
Lin Ruo wasn't impressed by the woman's overly familiar attitude. After tidying up, she walked towards the driver's seat and simply replied with a perfunctory "Mm".

After saying that, Lin Ruo jumped into the car nimbly and slammed the door shut.
With the annoying noise gone, Lin Ruo was finally able to rest for a while. She turned on the car heater and, under the cover of her backpack, took out a few pancakes from her storage space. The pancakes looked shriveled and were about to crack, but the filling was actually meat floss, and every bite was full of meaty flavor.
Duan Kejia stood outside Lin Ruo's car for a minute with her lips tightly pressed together, until the noodles in her hands froze, before she turned and walked toward the bonfire at the B City base.
Seeing Duan Kejia carry the instant noodles back and forth as before, Jiang Yue chuckled. Sure enough, in front of Lin Ruo, neither men nor women had any advantage.
Duan Kejia sat down in front of the fire, reheated the instant noodles in her hand, and began to eat silently, her mind racing as she ate.
As she was eating, a soldier sat down in front of her and shyly handed her the half-pack of biscuits he was holding. "Were you not full just now? Here, have this."
Duan Kejia looked at the remaining half-pack of biscuits, smiled and shook her head to refuse, "No need, I just wanted to eat this because it would be a waste if I didn't. I'm already full. Food is so precious, you can keep this for yourself."
