"Ding~"
While she was having fun, Lin Ruo's phone rang. She picked it up and saw that the property management had invited her to join the Longyuan homeowners' group, saying it would be more convenient when sending out notifications.
It would be perfect if she could stay informed about the latest happenings in the neighborhood. Without hesitation, she clicked to join the group. There were many people in the group, and messages were being posted very quickly. Lin Ruo glanced at the messages and saw that they were mostly advertisements, job postings, casual chats, and the like.
Lin Ruo only watched for a few minutes before losing interest; perhaps it would only be useful when the apocalyptic downpour began.
Putting down her phone and turning back, Lin Ruo saw that the ice crystals she had used to tease Ah Shou and Ah Fu were already in their mouths, crunching loudly. She shook her head helplessly.
It was getting late, so Lin Ruo washed up, put on a face mask and did some simple skincare before putting the two little ones to bed.
After their bath, Ah Shou and Ah Fu smelled wonderful, were fluffy and warm. Their little bed was right next to Lin Ruo's bed. Lin Ruo kissed them before finally falling asleep peacefully.
The next morning, Lin Ruo got up early. She opened the French windows and saw a bustling street below, with cars coming and going and many pedestrians on both sides of the road. September 18, 2207, tomorrow is the day the end of the world will come, and this prosperity will be washed away by the torrential rain.
"Woof woof!"
As Lin Ruo stared blankly downstairs, Afu squatted beside her. It woke up as soon as Lin Ruo moved in the morning. Although it didn't know why its owner was staring blankly outside, it seemed to sense that its owner was unhappy. It rubbed its little head against Lin Ruo's trouser leg.
Lin Ruo lowered her head, chuckled softly, squatted down, and tapped Afu's wet little nose with her finger. "I didn't expect our Afu to be such a sweet little boy. I'm fine, go play."
Afu turned to look at Ashou, who was sleeping on his back on the bed, and then turned to look at Lin Ruo, as if to say that Ashou was still asleep and no one was playing with him.
"So, the little sweetheart doesn't have any playmates," Lin Ruo's smile widened, gradually becoming somewhat malicious. "Then Afu, come and exercise with me."
"Woof woof!" Afu wagged its little tail happily.
Two hours later, Afu lay on the ground, refusing to get up, sticking out its tongue as if it were about to die from exhaustion. Lin Ruo sighed helplessly; it was Afu who wanted to get on the treadmill, and it was Afu who was making this pitiful face.
"Alright, you take a rest, I'll go prepare breakfast for you."
As Lin Ruo walked, she took out chicken, goat milk and other things from her space to prepare breakfast for the two little ones. At this time, A Shou had also woken up and was wagging his little tail energetically, circling around A Fu who was lying on the ground.
"Woof woof!" Ah Shou called to Ah Fu to wake up. Ah Fu glanced at it but ignored it.
Lin Ruo shook her head helplessly, then quickly prepared breakfast for them. She took out the leftover rice from yesterday, a few eggs from her spatial storage, sausages, and vegetables, intending to make fried rice for herself.
Leftover rice is best used for fried rice, but unfortunately, the rice was still hot when it was taken out, so it didn't have the same effect as leftover rice.
First, beat the eggs and scramble them until cooked. Set them aside. Add some oil to the pan, sauté some chopped green onions until fragrant, then add the greens and stir-fry until just cooked. Turn the heat to low, add the rice and stir-fry until loose. Add some chicken bouillon, oyster sauce, and salt to taste. Stir-fry until fragrant, then add the eggs and sausage. Stir-fry until well combined and it's ready to serve.
Finally, sprinkle some chopped green onions on top, and a fragrant bowl of fried rice is ready to serve, with perfect color, aroma, and taste.
After preparing the meal, Lin Ruo went to take a shower. She had sweated a lot during her workout, and her clothes were completely soaked and felt very uncomfortable against her skin.
Upon entering the bathroom, Lin Ruo threw her clothes directly into the washing machine to wash them. She quickly took a shower, brushed her teeth, and then walked out of the bathroom feeling refreshed.
"Dinner's ready!"
As soon as Lin Ruo finished calling out, the two little ones rushed out of the second bedroom, their short legs practically sparking with energy.
"Slow down, slow down, no rush." Lin Ruo put the two little ones' plates on the ground and watched them wolf down their food. In just a few minutes, they finished all the food on their plates.
After they finished eating, she carefully touched the bellies of the two little ones and was relieved to find that they were both bulging. She had thought they hadn't eaten enough.
Lin Ruo took her time to enjoy her breakfast, which was unusual for her. After tidying up the table, she put the dishes in the dishwasher, turned on the robot vacuum, and then took out two dog leashes from her spatial storage. She waved them at Ashou and Afu, smiling enticingly, "Want to go out and play?"
"Woof woof!"
Upon hearing that they were going out to play, Ah Shou was the first to respond, his tail almost turning into a propeller. Ah Fu, on the other hand, just obediently ran over and squatted down in front of Lin Ruo.
After spending just one day together, Lin Ruo had a general idea of the two little guys' personalities: Afu was a calm and warm-hearted man, while Ashou was an active and mischievous one.
After tying them to their ropes, Lin Ruo led them out. On the way out, they ran into their neighbor across the hall again. This time, only Qian Li was there with her child, and it seemed she was also going out.
Lin Ruo only realized when she saw the little boy that, right, it was Sunday and the little boy hadn't gone to school.
"Wow! Mom, look how cute these two puppies are!" The boy's eyes lit up when he saw Ah Shou and Ah Fu; it seems that children generally love animals.
“Yes, dogs are cute, but babies shouldn’t touch them, it will scare them,” Qian Li replied with a gentle smile. The little boy nodded obediently and just stood by and watched.
Qian Li then smiled and nodded at Lin Ruo, "Sorry, children are just very curious."
Lin Ruo smiled and shook her head, "It's okay, they like children too."
At this moment, the little boy had squatted down and was looking at each other with Afu and Ashou. Ashou's tail was wagging and his little nose was twitching.
